Confirm, -A- killboard related are beyond retarded and need to be worked on. It's very tricky to get the entire fight into two related without much overlapping.

There was about 400 wrecks on the field so quite safe to say kb haven't caught all and are useless really.
It borders on pointless to try to compare kb stats given the disparity between them and the fact lots of mails don't seem to get generated.

The battle never happened - a couple of skirmishes on the gate and an awesome bomber run on our BS fleet while fail-bridging (lost approx 50 BS'S!)

Well, what can I say? Apparently the Southern Bloc and IT have more people with absolutely no life, than I expected. After waiting for over an hour on a login screen, the system was flooded with blues and station reinforced. Didn't expect this to happen to be honest. Determination, honor, morale post, etc. GF.

I sincerely hope that is not going to be the long-term strategy - it's a trade we are happy to make, to capture a system but it will get pretty boring for all concerned in the end....
The structures weren't going to go into reinforced by themselves anyway, fight or not. Just so that we don't lose sight of why all the ships were there among all the spin and baiting.
If you outnumbered or dont have a chance at least make it very even fight (so if you loose you can at last say ive enjoyed it) there is no reason to feed kills to the enemy. So I dont think goonies are that stupid, to leeroy and get slaughtered for hearing gf in local.
Make it regurarly that people dont fight or spin ship at pos, shoot station, and do it for days, weeks,months and your participation goes to shit, make people look at kb, that every night there is ton of fights going on, caps diing, titans burning, and everyone will got the extra hours happily in return for this.
The defender can wait for the best weak numb moment of you and strike. After a while the omfg big op, be there, we know from spying the enemy will show stop having effect, if people bore out or enemy just sleeps in bed.
In the end its morale game and that is only affected by winning and having fun. While loosing your territory is never fun as you surely wanted it to defend in first place. YOu play for the grunts morale, if they happy and have fun, any leader can make a lot, if they not, even the best leader´s words wont be listened in the end.
Goonfleet has truly become what we hated the most - not only are we literally BoB, but we also (never) fight like Atlas.
It's a dangerous strategy though - the knife can cut both ways. If what Molle says is true and this is not a sov assault yet - how will that strategy work out if we are harassing your ratters and rf'ing your moons the whole time, how's that infrastructure going to be taken care of while you play the waiting game?
Sitting and watching your empire burn is as damaging to morale as unrestricted killing of someones empire - and for all your comments about spies remember it's a 2-way street.
It is all just Goon damage control bullshit. They are outnumbered and outclassed. If they fight, they lose too many ships and do not prevent their opponents from reaching their goals. If they don't fight, they claim they won some sort of morale victory. Querious is going to burn and Delve will follow.
Goons are virtually having a civil war on thier boards about whether it's ok to enjoy consistently winning the K/D ratio. Meanwhile Gossip Whore says they are outclassed.
They are sure as hell outnumbered, though.
Hey here's an idea: since they're so much better, why doesn't AAA/Stainwagon take the iHub timers and IT and the rest take the station timers? They'll still have roughly equal numbers, and their superior class will tell. Arf.

Whether or not we've actually go the stomach to sustain this kind of campaign remains to be seen - but at the moment I'm fine with it and I think most other IT guys are.

The AAA vs goon thing was primarily a southern conflict until AAA realized how shit they were and napped the GBC and dragged them down south to bail them out. When bob got haargothed and the mad dash for delve started the initial battles like J-L and 8wa were more or less even, the loss of shrike and waagaa's mothership broke the GBC morale and led to them losing participation. this was about the only real time we had an edge in numbers and allowed us to camp them into pr- for a month while AAA and co were greedily taking abandoned space (you know, instead of helping their allies).
then AAAwagon finally came west and packed 1400 people into 49-. the other side has been the ones superior numbersbin' for a long long time now and there's nothing 'ironic' about it.

The trouble for IT isn't primarily that they have to out-grind goons. Although having failed to do so previously as Bob/GBC/Kenzoku that must be a concern for the medium-term. It's that they've staked this on AAA and Sys-K being able to out-grind Goonswarm, and on both Atlas and Tri being able to out-grind the north (in descending order of likeliness on the last two). Any gambler will tell you that if three-way accumulators came up all that often we'd all play them.
Lol, bail us out? You haven't managed to even touch -A- Sov. I remember your RIT triangle attack, and how it failed miserably. The only offensive achievement that Goonswarm got was getting a ROL station with a use of a spy in their alliance. That was back in the day when -A- was still not in the conflict and it was Goonswarm vs 300 man alliance, until Stain Wagon came to help them first. That's the only one. After that you were just defending and using "you are not killing us fast, thus we are awesome" attitude. We took C9N and failed to take VNJ, but the Esoteria front was doing well at that moment and your R64 moons dropping. And I'm personally quite happy that -A- secured their space and assets, because Haargoth fuckup was BoB's own fault, and the fact that they didn't request our help at the start was their strategic mistake.
I know you want to argue about that all over again for 20 pages, but everyone has their own view on what happened. Basically, Goons sucked ass, they were going to die and got saved by a spy in BoB.
Yeah, that's a pretty good point actually - it just goes to show how interlinked these conflicts are. Tri and Atlas don't have to out-griind the North though - just maintain a sustained pressure there. It all comes down to AAA and SysK in the south, they are the thing that break the stalemate but I don't know enough of their internal culture/situation to predict how much staying power they have.
there's only one correct view, and that is that AAA is overrated garbage that has attempted to wipe us off the map twice now with their napfest of faggot alliances backing them up and failed.
