Seems quite a lot of people underestimate evoke. I have a hell of a lot of respect for them. Even if, unlike me, you have never fought with them or against them (I have done both), just look at the fact:

They took Cloud Ring by themselves. How many alliances in the last two years have took a region without help from a single blue. The most help they had was SOT and a bit later PL messing around in cloud ring against TCF / MH, but that was only roams and messing about, no help taking down poses, capturing station systems or anything.

Not only did they take a region by themselves... but it was against the NC. Bear in mind Evoke numbered less than 1000. The NC initially planned to put defi4nt in there, but they are fucking terrible and Evoke took the stations despite TCF + MH's best efforts. Then Morsus Mihi came and in a week took Evoke back to square one, recapturing the stations and giving them to Minor Threat. Evoke then recaptured the stations again and this time the NC gave up.

That really is some very good persistance combined with strong leadership and good PvPers.

Now i am off to wipe the shit off my nose.

To be fair, Ev0ke had actually a lot of help from PL, SoT and Cry Havoc in the larger engagements against NC in the first run. They captured Cloud Ring, got pretty much steamrolled when every single NC-alliance except Razor and Wildly Inapropriate descended upon them and wiped them out with AOE-DD, and started again from zero with some help from Initiative and Cry Havoc.

I seriously have nothing but respect for their incredible endurance and determination, but just stating some facts.

I admit though i was quite impressed one night during the invasion of P-2 when Ev0ke fielded an incredible number of Capitals, Battleships and Titansupport way out of EU-TZ.

i was pointing at his aegis militia statement.
about space.. we got some and everyone knows. i dont disput his right to think that it was a wrong move from us.
i personaly think hes wrong. we aimed for that space to support the point we have (according to his post). to continue a years long fight with a 1-6 numberdisadvantage u need some isk as u will loose ships. our idear was to have some systems to earn what we need to continue to fight.

I know because I had a spy account in Aegis Militia at the time of the wardec. Now, Aegis Militia were terrible then and are now even worse, but they did win handily that time, despite UK bringing in some feeder corp of theirs at some point. UK at the time were pre-Butterdog, so I was quite impressed by how good-natured all those roleplayers were to each other: an open admission of defeat and thanks for all the ~good fights~ which was quite alien to what I'd experienced.

Before that, Stim wardecced AM and it was spectacular to watch them rip the Providence alliance to pieces. Best small-gang empire players I'd seen up to then.

Everyone who says U'K are AAA pets is really fucking dumb. The stations that they hold were given to IAC when it was an ally of AAA in the very same way that they have been given to U'K. Catch is too big for an alliance such as AAA who spends most of their time in literally four systems. I'm sure U'K can have another constellation or two if they asked.

And before anyone goes "But, but IAC were AAA pets themselves!!!11", I can tell you that it was an average alliance while under Thyrrax and only died when Hachou opened his e-mouth on Russian CAOD to flame AAA's then very strong Russian leadership.

I highly doubt a similar incident could occur with U'K since they have been awesome allies so far.

Actually goons are pretty bad. Cant seem to get things right most of the time. An invader would just steamroll them because they wont be able to fight without meatshield and help of their coalition. Lets see what happens if someone competent is trying to attack Delve/querious!

None of PL, SOT or CH lent any serious help to the capture of Cloud Ring. That is a fact. As I said, they did have fleets and gangs messing around now and then, but it really was only occasionally and they did not go round helping Evoke to shoot poses, camp systems or any of the necessities of sov warfare. Nor did they turn up to every or even many 'large engagements'. The only large fights with Evoke + one or more of PL/SOT/CH in were over moons when SOT and then PL moved into messing around with MH... not over sov or stations or any POS whatsoever that weren't on high ends and most of these were not even in Cloud Ring.

heh. Their home defense efficiency from an average of 60-65 dropped to 50% in the last few days. Altas is already in Vale I'm guessing.

Rage hasn't been under heavy pressure yet and their main strategy was to stay under the radar. Without major NC support they won't last long.

Their fleet turnouts aren't bad tho for an alliance of around 1k, with peaks at around 100. Then again, that was when morale was good.

Added: Aegis Militia - Recently reformed Providence Holder. Indicative of CVA allies in that leaders and dominant corps will move from one Holder to another

Against All Authorities - Quality organization, they will spend 6 hours waiting in 49- and then use their extensive allied jump bridge network for waiting 4 hours in Catch if they have to. Good renter operation with AAA citizens even controlling a few stations

Atlas Alliance - I was surprised by how fast their sov color grew. They are seen working with drone region ppl and their allies -A- are seen with stain ppl but in home region defense they work together

Cold Steel Alliance - Controls the other entrance into 0.0 from Providence, a few larger battles with -A-/Atlas/UK took place a few months ago when sov 3 on the old sov system took effect

Curatores Veritatis Alliance - I agree with Alex here; Mystical Ninjas. There are some advantages and some disadvantages to leading what is essentially China. Know when not to commit capitals and often lead Provi operations; I believe individual Holders are leading the current campaign for a reason

Gentlemen's Club - Smack-ish roaming group?

Goonswarm - Legendary cult following and in fact the definition of cult. Creative low SP tactics like deploying GoonWaffe stealth bomber squads to any major battle, cheap but effective Drake/Scimitar fleets, breaking sov mechanics, etc.

Intrepid Crossing - Seen on CAOD too often (why do I go there?)

IT Alliance - Much of Eve wanted to see them crushed, then they were in a somewhat dubious way, e-honor must be restored and so many old players will root for them. Most dedicated group, I fear their logistic ppl's multitasking ability

Libertas Fidelitas - Largest Providence Holder alliance, one of the two most PvP oriented CVA allies (the other being Sev3rance)

Morsus Mihi - Overlord, puppetmaster and especially before Dominion had an impressive number of sov systems even excluding allies.

Pandemic Legion - Weren't they considered the best PvP alliance a few months ago? If only IT had given them good fights...

Paxton Federation - Standard Holder which holds perhaps the riskiest constellation in Providence. Notable battles are FSW sov battle with BoB over a jump bridge route a few years ago, previous F9E + SV5 attempt one year ago and subsequent sov battle for T-R home system, current conflict has moved predictably into D-G (Providence border system to HED constellation)

RAZOR Alliance - Older alliance, they form an ironic Triumvirate yes I said it with MM + TCF. I think MM is the father, RZR the mother and TCF the french guy? Sry it could be the other way around I'm not sure

Red Alliance - Blue to Providence last I checked

RED.Overlord - Run by Russian billionaire I believe

Sev3rance - A more active Providence Holder, they hold 2 constellations rather than the standard one for CVA allies

Stain Empire - Used to be much larger and more glorious I believe, I remember hearing of Stain several years ago. I wonder if the same leaders still live there

Stainless. - I am now confused

Sylph Alliance - Very old alliance, as old as UK + CVA I believe. Currently much smaller than they used to be and their current rental agreement (1-2 systems per alliance, 4-5 alliances) is not sitting especially well with Providence

Systematic-Chaos - Seem to be the leaders of their own southern faction, wisely allied with -A- and in an exciting border zone with Zenith + Goons

Tau Ceti Federation - French. Had a curious swath of space near United Legion space but that disappeared with UL

The Initiative. - Making a name for themselves

Triumvirate - Best roaming PvP pilots? They in fact blew up my first bestower AND my first geddon. I suppose that isn't widely known. They need to work out a rental arrangement or have their allies work it out for them because they will lose every member if they sit still...ever

Ushra'Khan - I've heard they are the oldest alliance still in 0.0? Most patient ppl in Eve, their cloaking alts make up much of the population of Providence. Awarded two station in Catch by -A- a few months ago. Harboring Butter Dog and other prolific CAOD posters

Zenith Affinity - How did they get awarded Executive Outcomes space? Well, the executives corp is in IT now so make your predictions

Circle of Two - Did better than most people expected after the reset. Living a tough life in venal.

Cult of War - Atlas Pets. Decent pvpers.

Curatores Veritatis Alliance - RP'ers. On a downhill slide at the moment.

Ev0ke - If they had more active members they would be a force to be reckoned with but unfortunately for them thats not the case.

Gentlemen's Club- Atlas pets. Decent pvpers.

Goonswarm - Dead ( Solodrakban has a lot of potential, especially if they stick the hybrid alliance model as darius proposed)

HUN Reloaded - IT pets. Not the same HUN anymore

Intrepid Crossing - Solar Pets

IT Alliance - They're back and stronger than before.

Legion of xEATHXx - Rich $$$$$

Libertas Fidelitas - no idea

Looney Toons - Complete failure. A waste of good space.

Majesta Empire - Good group of guys. Add significant numbers to NC fleets and are reletively proffesional.

Morsus Mihi - Defensive backbone of the NC

Mostly Harmless - A little down on their fortune in 2009 but still a strong alliance.

Pandemic Legion - Everyone has a lot to learn from these guys.

Primary. - Atlas pets

R.A.G.E. - New on the NC block . Add significant numbers to NC fleets. Hope they last.
