Shit, we might just rock up uninvited and shoot at shit irrespective.
When we were holed up in Tribute and the 1000+ GBC and other GBC fanboi vultures were circling we remember who came over and helped and who didn't. Those little meaningless skirmishes over insignificant moons during the downtime between campaigns means absolutely nothing.
I honestly believe this invasion will end the same as all the other Fountain invasions. I may be biased, but from my end it already looks to be following the same predictable pattern. I'm amazed that alliances always seem to do the same exact thing when invading Fountain. And the strangest part is they don't even realize they are doing it.
I fully except I could be wrong. But it's my 2 cents.
Edit: I mean when has PL ever cared about defending a renter's outpost? It's the same every time. A few token fleets. The station changes hands. Pl takes it back later and sells it again.

As to my thoughts on Fountain, they're just that. I was in Fountain through several invasions including the GBC invasion (which wasn't really an invasion) and Requiem. I don't live there now, nor am I in SOT or PL, so I'm not claiming to be the authority on the subject.

Cap loss outside of sustained campaigns are meaningless. We still have reserves well above what we actually use. The only loss that means anything is during a campaign, your ship loss comparative to your ability to replace the losses.

PL and SOT have only defended fountain once. And that was due to the goons helping.
I know PL/SOT's master plan is too sit and wait for Goons to help them after dominion, but come on show some honor! you cant call yourself a real pvp alliance if you sit around waiting for aid like a puppy with a broken paw.
And if PL/SOT loose fountain then meh. 0.0 space is a privelege not a right, only those that deserve it remain in it.

I see a lot of the usual things happening with the Alliance that does not look good from my point of view on the whole since IT hit PNQY.
Lack of leadership online, FC's etc, Constant bickering between different corps, different corps going off and doing their own things without involving anyone else.
Taking too long to form fleets to counter hostiles, going out against vastly superior numbers when we dont have the right ship types, this costs ISK and some of us cant afford to constantly lose T2 fitted ships when doing this.
Forming a fleet and then having it taken over by such and such a person for it to totally fail and have no direction when it was ok in the first place and when it does get called every ****ing name under the sun by said person.
No one speaks to me like that in real life or i would put them on the floor end of story.
I know i have only been back a short time, but something needs to be sorted out or Fountain is doomed in my books.
We need communication, not Spam on alliance mail about going out in 1's and 2's to harrass the enemy.. you are never going to get an even fight that way.
And the biggest issue that i have seen from day one and still today is too many carebears not joining the fleets and when they do they have hardly any PVP experience and it ends up in a cluster****.
Sorry for saying this, but it is how i feel at this moment in time.

PL learned from there lowsec encounters and are going to do the same thing the NC did with MAX. Anything short of a fully committed GS (which would include GS blueing all their pets, which for whatever moronic reason people don't want to do) with good participation and they're not going to be able to consistently contend with IT with it's current participation levels.

How can they possibly do what the NC did with MAX?
NC outblobbed BoB in MAX and won cap battles through force of numbers and by making BoB jump in to them (good tactics). PL so far are reacting to IT's moves, not dictating the pace in any way.
As a reminder, PL are yet to kill an IT POS, for something like 50 lost on the PL+pets side.

It was IsWarpingOut's rather apt description of the Something Awful forums, and I fear where this forum is heading. I've noticed a huge spike in name-calling, trolling and other forms of internet tough-guy speak.
This used to be a cool place where grunts like me could get some insights into the dark underbelly of eve politics without all the pollution. But lately its just turned into the standard hurf-blurf you can find all over the place.

While I agree in the fact that this place is getting too "troll"ish, there is a good side to it too. Before the site in general was pretty one sided. While people tried to be non-bias in their views it would always show through. With increase popularity you get the views of many different people, not just from different sides of the Eve politics, but from different levels (alliance leaders and grunts). This obviously means that people will argue when their opinions are different, and will usually lead to some name calling/childish shit because at the end of the day it's opinions and neither side is going to win.
While I would like us to keep the CAOD shit to a minimum, I'd rather have a more balanced discussion than a one sided one.
