GS put a fleet together at the last minuite and went to try and help save the SOT pos. After getting in system and somehow only losing 1 ship in the process to the larger IT fleet we went to the pos and did everything we could to draw fire off the pos and carriers. After a while of not doing much more than getting shot and losing all our tacklers/dictors IT brought in dreads and we figured it was over and that we'd lost the pos after coming so cloase to saving it, it was about 1% off being stronted. So those who were still alive left the system and on the way home we found out IT are that bad and SOT managerd to stront the pos.

A fake reset really has no value. Missleading a relationship between ATLAS and IT doesn't mean much because both parties still have many friends. An alliance isn't going to say 'oh ATLAS/IT no longer friends, ATLAS or IT is now alone, lets strike one of them!

The parties that will be fighting have their intel sources. If ATLAS forms up and moves caps to a mid point it's likely a drop against IT's enemy's will in-sue.

Wouldn't it be much easier in eve nowadays to just once every 3 months or so rename the alliances? everyone is just moving in circles anyway and it saves a lot of work.

That's more of a "red pen op". CTA's were actually called by alliances, but nowadays they avoid using the term.

If there's an important tower/op and you call in a friendly alliance or two to help you out I'd classify that as a "CTA".

To clarify, TCF is not involved anymore against a specific alliance atm.
After good fights while digesting 3 corp departures against Evoke in CR (props guys <3) and few boring blobby ones which required "beeing handheld by the rest of NC" to match Evoke, SOT and PL, we have returned to home shooting things around the north (unfortunaly my overlord quoted above doesn't show in ov yet).
