And Finally

#7 People will believe a big lie sooner than a little one, And if you repeat it frequently enough people will sooner or later believe it as the real thing!

BOD seem to think they can just use Social-Engineering techniques on the Player/Reader base and no one is smart enough to recognize the strategy they are using!

Yup... For example these techniques were employed in Russia for long time before the October revolution, where almost every major newspaper spewed critique and outright lies directed at the Zar. Those lies there afterwards strengthened by the Soviet regime. The public believed it all. Even after Russia has become "free" the general public believes that all Zars were inhuman beings festering on the blood of innocents.

These techniques were employed when Serbia was bombed. I live in Denmark and I remember how the television spewed out lie after lie telling how the Serbs were monsters and ate children at breakfast. Danes in general ate it all.

Another example is the Iraq war.

BOB employs this technique lying every fucking day right in your face. Actually I feel sorry for these guys, they'll make good politicians, but I also hate them, because they are ruining a great game for me.

If this isn't LITERALLY the "Mittani handbook to Internet Spaceships" I dont know what is. Examples: Claims that LV DD their own fleet in JV1V.... Claims that BoB warp through grids somehow causing lag for their enemy but not for them... Insert Any other tinfoil hattery or plain lies.

Uhm...though I dont want this to dive into a political discussion of RL, that BIG LIE that the current administration was backed by EVERY major intelligence in the world. AND we have found WMD's (yes, those things that Saddam said he destroyed but somehow were still there), just not on the scale that EVERY major intelligence agency in the world thought we would.

Back on topic, I think the argument they are making is that this BIG LIE post is absolutely right in line with GOONS way of thinking.
