Having been part of SOT in the past I really don't see that being true.

I won't argue the moral / e-honour aspect of it. But in a case where the victim was inactive and rarely participated in the alliance as a whole I don't see anyone losing sleep over his death and it's relation to their own assets. Many SOT players thought he never should have been allowed in in the first place. But recruitment is another issue entirely.

Credibility and trust is worth something. It's impossible to measure, so there are a lot of people who think it's worth too much - but that doesn't mean that people don't react to the decisions you make.

Still. Joining an alliance and almost immediately announcing your prolonged inactivity does not engender trust. Corps make allowances for people they know and have experience with. Inactive members fresh from hostile sources can't expect the same treatment as persons you've flown with in the past.

Titans regularly sell for twice mineral cost, and the mods he had fitted were worth a fair few bill... I'd say your estimate was half what it should be.

The Drac CR was really the only mega-expensive item on there. I'd say 20bil wasn't too far off the total cost.

Anything that involves RL cash drops the value of the titan. If you're going to fork over a few thousand dollars basically based purely on the trust of the other person you better be getting a good discount.

They'd give you even more of a discount on a bulk 100bn buy, but it would also be harder for them to transfer the money.

In the end it would depend on the two people negotiating the cost. If you want to talk raw cost of timecarding a titan then yea it's going to be way higher, but actually selling the titan for money is going to be cheaper. Selling isk itself to sites or other people will mean you get even less cash, plus the hassle of finding a buyer, paying churriba, etc.
