First thing you should do is make a practice game (Create game --> Select server --> Practice). This is a game where you're all alone and you can just test out what characters do what and how to last hit / deny creeps. The forums are actually an amazing source of information (http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/index.php) and I will often search the guides and strategies board for threads with the title of whatever hero I'm playing. A lot of the game is just figuring out the skill and item builds of heroes.Originally Posted by k

I read the guides.. I think I need to improve my laning/farming. Just won two games playing Succubus. Funny how people will run away for the first 10 levels... until they realize I play like shit.
If anyone has still some spare beta key would like to get one to get hands just before it goes open beta..
Seems like all the giweaways have been rush-grabbed out.
Succubus is just insane. Nuke --> sleep --> nuke --> ulti = anyone dead at level 6-7.
Been practicing, playing games with the general population is quite painful so far.

I got the HoN betakey at last but I have somehow bad first impression about it
Apparantly as the game is even more complicated than Eve (instead of just 4 races and few minor bloodlines) you have to choose a character (Hero) out of 30+ and they kinda differ and you can't like in Eve even being caldari shoot lazors - I did some quick research and read up some guides - which at some level explain about the leveling in lanes and such but always the most important note is "Don't die!" .. well okay let's give it a try.
Turns out that first half (in my case it was more of 90%) of the game you just sit and watch the NPCs run by and try to land hullshot on them (even your own minions). Then when few levelups happen and bam deathmatch / bloodbaath / gameover..
It wouldn't be all that bad if people didnt create the matches called 'All noobs welcome!' / 'Just for noobs' but actually being elitist fucks about you not being able to grasp all the tasks / potions / spells and whatnotelse from the first second..
Like you would expect/want a 0-day noobie bubble a sniperhac gang in 0.0.
The practice games seemed me too far from the actual gameplay (won't learn anything in a belt shooting NPC).
On that note Fallen Earth is much more friendly in every aspect ..
S2 appears to be zerged by Soldiers of Fortune.
And naked Goons running arround .. but I can live with that.
