They are right that loosing the titan would be a blow to moral, but not as big as they think. (at least I hope that pure isk-losses doesnt effect us as much as they think)

That's rather pointless. If they actually went and set a precendent for account sharing meaning an immediate ban you'd have tons of people in major alliances being banned overnight. That'd make things quite shitty for everyone.

True. they should not take the easy road and say it's our responsibility to prove account sharing and making it a vendetta type thing.

Account sharing should be allowed under strict rules. It would make life much easier. But CCP does not like making difficult decisions.

Then indeed log that char's name and IP if it's on longer than the needed time and ban that char. Send a mail to the customers email adres saying they need to proof it's them but playing on vacation/lover or family house/work/whatever.

Send instructions on how to get IP information with it.

This would require to link your IP's to your char via a submenu in the character/account menu or at least give that information to CCP. A sort of customer CMDB expansion. The 20 seconds should be enough to log in a char, change skills and get out of dodge without CCP getting extra workload. People should be informed of this.

Let's say i used chowdowns char for bombing Goons :
I do not respond to the message. The automated message reaches a GM in X time. Chowdown is banned at point X in time. Either that char is banned forever or i/chowdown can add my IP to the "accepted" IP's to log into that char. Then i mail for the unbanning of the char. The trigger of these activities lies with me.

Instead it's a randomly enforced rule they can use to ban people without a good reason.

In the dev blog posted about it he all but admits to sharing cyno-net accounts. It begins with how bad account sharing is, then changes when he gets to cyno-nets. "We're not going to deal with that here." Even though it's exactly the same thing.

Player logs on from his/her's parents place.
Parent's place has a different IP
Player gets banned.

The part about registering each IP you use? That'd be an easy thing to forget about, or you could be one of those guys who plays at work where EVE-Online is blocked. There was a goon in the latest Burn Eden open TS session who couldn't be perma-banned because he was using some sort of time card that changed his IP once he disconnected. I seem to recall modems doing roughly the same thing. IPs aren't exactly a static thing.

May as well petition half of EVE tbh as many many characters are shared.

Also something needs to be done with titans and MS otherwise this situation will continue forever. With titans and MS being unable to dock they means that players really need to be on 23/7 if an alliance wants to use them. IMO unless you are a sad sad fucker then thats impossible. Hence you get account sharing.
