Subject: Some suggestions that might help with fleet battle lag:

    (1) Remove the Alliance, Velocity and Transversal Velocity columns from your overview.

    (2) You really don't need the local window open during a fight.

    (3) Remove the portraits from the gang chat window, make it just text, and minimise the other chat windows and turn blink off during the fight.

    (4) Make sure sounds, turrents and effects are off, and minimise any other graphics setting you can.

    (5) In a fight that big, unless you've got fighters assigned to you, its doubtful you will (a) get a chance to use your drones or (b) get much resposne out of them.

    (6) Remove the FPS thingy from your screen. You know you will be lagged anyway, you don't really need that to tell you so.

    (7) Delete all your killmails before you enter a fleet fight. That way you get a smaller lag spike everytime you kill something and recieve a mail.

And dude, wtf is with the cloak on your fleet setup? =/

    Drones are a double-edged sword.

Fighters and drones multiply the number of ships flying around, and are a MASSIVE cause of lag. If you don't believe me compare the lag, the size of the battle, and the number of carriers operating. Even small battles which have a lot of carriers will cause massive node lag.

The other side though is that drones are not affected by lag. While you're unable to activate modules, target, or warp, your drones will happily buzz around causing trouble.

The laggier it gets, the better drones get, the laggier it gets, the better drones get, *The node has gone offline.*

One more suggestion to avoid lag:
Open map(F10), zoom-out and drag it out of the screen before the battle.
You may need bookmark and overview settings be prepared before...it really help a lot.Just fight with map on if you were very lag.

My english is not good, hope you could understand what I said :P
