RZR: BOB spies on TS "I'm going to black hole them off the internet"

I have a list of names that are suspected to be the BOB TS spy. Please, if you happen to know 100% that the TS spy is on and listening, just take a screenshot of your TS window (press the print screen button on your keyboard and then use a program like ms paint to make a new image and paste on it). The list I have is already small and any screenshot you get, especially if it has fewer than 30 people, will be massively helpful. On a sidenote however, there are indications that our TS is compromised by 2 BOB spies at the same time... so yeah...

Please send your screenshots to me as private messages. Don't post anything here.

One spy was 42-bl4ckr41n (again) who logged on TS but changed his alias to [HOO] Olev Polisaar. When I asked for him to speak up on TS he didn't reply. Then, I checked his killboard stats... and to much surprise, this pilot didn't exist. So when I saw him back on TS, I right clicked -> info -> amazement to see it was the same fat bitch we dealt with a few days earlier.

So, one spy "down" till you guys actually ban this account for real.

TS admin guys, please make it a priority to install a TS plugin for logging stuff. Login/alias pairs, IPs, time they join/part the server etc, all that. It would be massively helpful if you forced people to use an alias that is identical to their login name.

I know of no such plugin :-)

How does TS2 plugins work anyway? I know the ts2 server has a tcp "interface", so are the plugins just working with this tcp interface or is there some kind of plugin management in the server?

there are no plugins that I know of, but I have all those port blocked since they can be used to query how many people are in what channels and are on without the need of a password.

there's a perl script for automatic command line administration.
no auto-kick-bobbits button, but some usefull features.

I talked to a guy in RZR who asked me to convey the following to get some understanding for their situation:

Razor are daily (for months now) subjected to attacks on our private property like Forums, TS Server, Jabber Server etc. These servers are managed and paid for way outside EVE and as such are our private property. These attacks on our property have increased lately and we will pursue any and all attempts to fuck with us this way. Social engineering if you stick to your role is fine, hacking is not and if you go after our RL assets we will defend ourselves. We don't throw the first stone but if you throw one at us we will try and run your over with our titans. We're way past caring and as such any and all attempts at fucking with us will be met with full force.

Yeah I'm serious, there were side by side alliance counts done at the time because BoB was aready starting their "omg biggest naptrain ever" stuff, and GBC came out in front. Only reason they were horribly outnumbered at the end is they burned off their friends and cherry picked some of their members.

Of course most of the outnumbering was only on paper, useless carebear alliances that stopped helping the moment their bit of the pie was secured or just rode the NAP train for a bit of peace and quiet. It certainly wasn't "all of Eve" in delve.

Stealing bandwidth someone is paying for is still theft, stealing someones identity is still identity theft. Even if the reason you choose to do it is for internet spaceships, well calling someone and saying nasty things is a way of distracting them from Eve, so its about internet spaceships. The thing is, you're just arbitrarily believing what you want to is right, without any actual evidence or logic to back it up. You want the line drawn where you want it drawn. Too bad.

When I was fighting the NC, our TS was constantly under attack from DOS attacks that we always assumed originated from the NC. IMHO they are far from the innocents they make themselves out to be.

LV died when the baby avatar died, which was just before the GBC V Rest of Eve war really began, you cant count them on BoB's side. Ultimately half of them would of been included eventually as Delta team, Finfleet and half of Shinra and Fatal all ended up in Bob.

That stealing targets thread was good as any a starting gun for the great war. YMMV
