Default Worst Thing I Ever Ate

I got wasted Saturday night and decided to the late night terrible food run. The only thing that was in walking distance was a KFC, a bad idea already I know. So we ordered those Double Down sandwich things, thinking chicken, cheese and bacon you can't go wrong. Boy was I ever wrong. Their "sauce" which i thought would be bbq sauce or something was mayo. It tasted like a giant salt block and ruined my taste buds. I threw it up and slept in it for 10 hours, not on purpose of course. I should also mention the diarrhea I had the next day. Should have ordered a nice summer salad

Supposedly its not actually any worse than any of the other major chain's big sandwiches. I jsut can't help but think it would be super messy though.

Sure it isn't healthy and you are right that the other chains are just as bad health-wise, but this tasted awful. Not joke it tasted like straight salt. The place was out of the grilled chicken sandwiches. I bet that might make a difference, but I am not getting that beast again. Not really that messy just greasy from what I remember.

I can only assume that the booze helped in the decision making.

Well it was tough. I basically live at Whole Foods and try to be extremely healthy, outside of being an alcoholic who loves blow. But I think we decided to do it for the novelty aspect.

and most likely Philadelphia? Cheese steaks and that bullshit...and isnt New England supposed to be fatty central in the states?

Natural selection is awesome, are we the only species in known history that's attempted to eat itself to extinction? Okay exaggeration, but the fitness of our species or rather that of large human populations cant be increasing...

Go to Google Maps, type in "United States," and you'll be reminded of just how big Texas is. But what you can't see is the size of the state's citizenry: Five Lone Star cities are among the nation's fattest, with Corpulent Christi at the top.

To arrive at our rankings, we calculated the percentage of people who are overweight, the percentage with type 2 diabetes, the percentage who haven't left the couch in a month (CDC Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System); the money spent on junk food (Bureau of Labor Statistics); and finally, the number of people who ate fast food nine or more times in a month (Mediamark Research).

Evolution doesn't care how fit and healthy people are after they reproduce, just that they live long enough to do so. Well it doesn't actually care at all as it is a theory rather than a person, however as long as you can haul your fat body into bed with some loose woman and get her pregnant then you are starting to be successful. If you can manage it with lots of loose women then you are an evolutionary success, no matter if you die of heart disease when on top of one.

I think a clever post about natural selection and promotion of Eugenics right here would be outstanding. Or some outstanding quotation from Huxley would be amazing. Alas I am not that smart.

    Well it's from a Huxley,

    FROU-FROUERY and faint patchouli smells,
    And debile virgins talking Keats,
And the arch widow in accordion pleats,
Artfully fringing with the tales she tells
    The giggling prurient.

Life nauseous ! Let the whole crowd be sent
To the chosen limbos and appropriate hells
    Reserved in memory's blackest stagnancy.
Back, back ! No Social Contract ! From the teats
Of our old wolfish mother nature drink
Sweet unrestraint and lust and savagery.
Feel goat-hair growing thick and redolent
On loin and thigh ; look back
And mark the cloven hoof-marks of tlie track
You leave, then forward eyes again ; no wink,
Lest for an instant you should miss the sight
Of moony floating flanks and haunches white
Flashed by your fleeing nymph girl through the leaves.

You are correct. I should have used the word "or" instead of "and". Also, while Brave New World did have a caste system I guess the actually novel didn't really rely on the selection process so much and more on a "Fordian" view where everything is for the greater good. I was going to try to use an Orwell or a Bradbury quotation instead, but neither really mentioned much on Social Darwinism, Eugenics, or natural selection. I also hesitate in using the term "Social Darwinism" because of the various connotations that one can come up with..

So I will just shut up, for now at least.

I'd love to see a discussion on Eugenics. There are very few people who do not believe in Eugenics, they just call it different things (and go to great lengths to do so).

In polite circles, Eugenics fits under the umbrella term "Transhumanism".

I truly believe that obese and ugly people, if they marry, shouldn't be allowed to have children. It is really unfair to the child to have to go through a lot of the problems that are a result of genetics and their parents' behavior (behaviour for you non-yanks). I think we can all agree that if a child is brought up in a home with obese parents who aren't trying to be health the child has no chance of being healthy him/herself.

I am torn on that one. I don't really have a problem with same sex child raising, but I guess I can see the problems.

What about China's forced abortions (one-child policy)? Seems like a typical thing that is really good (actually necessary since it keeps more from dying of starvation caused by overpopulation) on paper, but just sounds pure evil when actually put into practice.

and yet the Bush administrations support of the abstinence campaign amongst teenagers actually had the same effect on a far far smaller scale; teens still got knocked up, but because of the stigma that had been created little Timmy the fetus still met a coathanger.

So, its just a matter of scale right?

Humans aren't aware of the idea of "self" until about two years of age. Thus, anyone under two years of age is not a person.

What a strange way of deciding if a person is a person. If I pop around and seal club my neighbours baby I bet your definition doesn't hold up well in court.

You really should distinguish between the letter of the law and the spirit in which it was intended.

Our job is not to question authority it is to obey at all costs. This is where the Brave New World quotation would fit. But in all seriousness, we can't really use the spirit of the law as gospel because that would lead us all into trouble. Which is partly why the judicial system has so many problems. Some times you get the strict interpretation of the law and some times you don't. A perfect example of the strict vs. spirit is gun control. Second Amendent in the US Constitution says right to bear arms, which at the time made complete sense, but is that the true spirit of the amendent (law)?

FYI.. Champion ADHD bird-walker over here so I tend to wander. Having said that maybe I should say ADD because apparently ADHD is associated with extreme and/or hyper fixation on something.

If I was a productive outstanding citizen I would be focusing on my work right now and not giving two craps about eve and kugu, but my ADHD is kicking in.
