Sadly, Goons/TEST have transparent finances, so it would be very hard to hide the tens of billions necessary to hire PL.

Goons would need to hire PL to kill any alliance that has sov not called IRC.

The best thing that could happen to any of those present and former alliances...was to be absorbed by TEST and GOONs. They were all the most horrible of the bad sov holders. Goons is giving them a convenient excuse to jump sinking ships. Give it 6months. Every pilot who took them up on their offer is going to be glad they did. Cause they'll either be happy in goons/test or have found some place else not nearly as fail.

I'm sure doing that did get them some pilots, the kind of flakes who aren't really loyal to anything (great type to build your alliance on, the type who get the fuck out of Dodge at the first sign of trouble).

It also gained them some enemies. As we saw with -A- (which did similar things for years) this sort of thing does eventually come home to roost. When Goonswarm+EVE eventually ran ED out of Etherium Reach, the last place I was going to go as a pilot was to Goonswarm. As a matter of fact, I've made it a point to try to remain red/neutral to them (still am). Someday they will get over to my side of the map and I'll get to shoot their rifters and caracals again.

Now I'm only speaking for myself but I'd imagine that I'm not the only one out there who has done something like that.

so much tinfoil in this thread, if we had been hired by nc brosefs to remove a useless alliance that they have been propping up for years while they have the excuse of being busy in the dronelands we'ed probably have been able to kill a titan from that alliance already thanks to some inside intel
