An Open Letter to the Scrapheap-Challenge community

More directly, this is in response to this post (and some others in the thread):

Yup, that should be a dead give away of his purposes. He doesn't want people logging in with Hippo's public login. He wants them to register their own information.

Ignoring the second part of the post*, I will try to give our reason for the first one. If you search for the posts made by the public account interwin you will quickly see the reasoning. The posts quickly escalated to shitposting. As with anything on the internet, anonymity often brings out the worse in people (see John Gabriel's Greater Internet Fuckwad Theory).

Nowhere in this site is it required that you authenticate that you're an EVE player, nowhere in this site does it tell you to use any sort of non-anonymous email address, nowhere in this site are proxies prohibited, nowhere on this site does it require you to use your eve online password or the password on another forum. So, pray tell, what makes this site so different from any other? As a matter of fact, this site is a horrible idea for farming IP addresses, when it can so easily be done from our target's forums.

We have built this site for our own reasons, conspiracies aside this site will continue to provide valuable intel, drama and shitfits to the EVE online community.
