Lets (once again) count the errors.

1. Mostly Harmless and IRON aren't shown as part of the north on the map (which they certainly are a part of) and Hydra, CPU, and Phoenix Allianz aren't on the list.

2. Destiny rents space from Tri IIRC, I think, but am not sure, that that means their space should count as Tri's.

3. Evoke's station isn't shown as existing, I know they don't want to be on the map but their house still exists. Really, I don't think he has kept on any of the new POSes that were built.

5. Atlas should probably be part of the RK/Smash block.

6. Ka-Tet is still marked as being part of the Coalition while being green on the map.

7. Might as well mark Syndicate as BRUCE space, they control it just as much as OSS/GS did.

8. Every system in Providence has POS in it and should be colored something.

9. Enuma Elish, Venom, TCF and IRC aren't shown with their "new" space.

10. Red Alliance doesn't have "[]" around their name in their new territory.

11. Immensea doesn't have the right layout up.

12. I think CPU pulled out, Insurgency now owns it, I believe.

13. A lot of big people are missing from the Alliance list, including MC who are shown in BoB blue on the map.


Still though, I am glad he is still doing it, someone needs to make a political map and noone else stepped up.

So is Red Alliance, that doesn't change the fact that their space has a direct link to Venal, Iron (and Mostly Harmless and Rule of Three) are flying in gangs with RZR/MM pilots in Querious, the fact that Iron participated in the assualts on M. Pire, or any of the other reasons that they are part of the "north". And by north I mean the political group that was previously lead by D2, not some geographic definition.

The contrast is stark. If I was of a slightly suspicious character, I would wonder about his claims of real life issues as they seemed to happen right when a certain side that he has, ahh, occasionally had some totally unfounded claims of favoritism toward, began to lose territory on a weekly basis. But that cant be, so I feel ashamed for speculating about it.

Anyway I ran across this. Its the influence map with every iteration used as a frame as a video done for a good chunk of the war. Really really fascinating. Take a look. Its actually pretty cool.

Catch being a Warzone is pretty laffo, it's as safe as any 0.0. Probably more so. Nice work also on excluding IAC from all powerblocks.

Yeah. The only action in Catch at the moment is gangs of Stain Empire that run up to catch ratters and flee whenever there is a gang forms, and a bunch of interdiction that sat in CZK in cloaked ships for a few days till some enterprising folx filled the system with semi afk characters constantly, at which point they left. In other words its as safe as you can expect for 0.0. BOB hasn't made any raid into Catch in weeks. Since Shrike's Node crash logoffski, I don't think there has been any attacks at 49-u at all.

I just realized that in the next map there will be three less powerblocs. One died due to internal issues, one died due to pirates, and the last died to an actual invasion. It is really interesting how things can come and go in this game.

I've been told that CCP once commented on the possibility of that happening. They said that if a 0.0 region became pacified enough it would be 'restored' and become a lowsec area. A possibility would also be the surrounding lowsec would become high sec. CVA have more than made Providence a candidate for being restored.

Why does no one attack Providence? It seems like it would be an easy addition to the BoB, Goon, or AAA empires. Everyone gnashes their teeth over Delve and the North, Providence however would be a far easier thing to conquer.

No one attacks Providence because everyone who has tried has been beat back. Tri got their asses whooped and blamed it on the RSF' road trip down there for a single battle. BoB spent weeks trying to break Sov 3 on a single system. Invading Providence has been a nightmare for everyone who has tried it. Even pirates have a hard time existing in Providence. Just because they're roleplayers doesn't mean they aren't good at PvP.

Providence has had several "invasions." The first big one I can remember was when a coalition of pirates tried to kick out CVA and the entire region (including U'K) showed up to stop them, their goals if I recall correctly were to turn Providence into a Tortuga-like area. There have also been invasions of individual space holders such as the MC-IAC conflicts, the conquests of U'K, ISS, and Slammers Republic and BoB breaking sov in that Paxton system. The greater Providence area currently faces a fresh and vicious aggressor in the form of Covenant Alliance (or whatever their name is, their initials are CA,) a merger of Insurgency, Triumvirite, and MC corporations. Providence as a whole has always brought the goods to the table when attacked so I can't wait to see the fight.

I'm almost willing to bet that nothing even slightly important will happen. The invaders will get their shit pushed in and then retreat while saying it was just a training excercise for their eventual return to 0.0.

Still waiting on CVA to unveil some Avatars. I thought they'd be all over that by now.

Providence is crappy space and while CVA are decent at pvp and know how to marshal their back up forces, a determined and experienced attacker could remove them from the area. The problem is there are only maybe 6-7 alliances that could accomplish that and they are all busy elsewhere and have no real reason to attack providence as CVA generally keep to themselves.

I honestly have to disagree, if it was just the Tri corps or just the Insurgency corps, or just the two of them it would be easy enough for CVA to win but factoring in the MC corps and IAC's war with AAA and I think it will be an interesting fight if the Providence holders have to go it alone.

MC was affiliated with BoB for so long he doesn't see a difference between the two. If anything he hates MC more for jumping the fence when the going got tough. I can't remember which but I think it was BoB that killed his CSAA that was empty, a day before the Erebus was intended to be started.
