Yes but arguing with woman using logic is like like trying to play pin the tale on donkey with a porcupine, you may win but expect a ass full of spikes in either case :-)

From the top of my head, here are some of my favorite weird movies:

The Idiots (Danish: Idioterne) is a 1998 Danish film directed by Lars von Trier. It is his first film made in compliance with the Dogme '95 Manifesto, and it is known as Dogme #2.

The film is about a seemingly 'anti-bourgeois' group of adults who spend their time seeking their "inner idiot" to release their inhibitions by behaving in an approximation of mentally retarded in public. This 'spassing' is a self-defeating attempt to challenge the establishment through provocation. The Idiots feel that the society-at-large treats their intelligence uncreatively and unchallengingly; thus, they seek the uninhibited self-expression that they imagine a romantic ideal of disability will allow.

The Celebration (Fenster), don't read any summary as it will spoil the movie. this is the first dogma movie.

Crna macka, beli macor (1998) or Black Cat White Cat by Emir Kusturica. This movie is crazy atko is a small time hustler, living by the Danube with his 17 year old son Zare. After a failed business deal he owes money to the much more successful gangster Dadan. Dadan has a sister, Afrodita, that he desperately wants to see get married so they strike a deal: Zare is to marry her. But none of the two care much for an arranged marriage: Zare is in love with Ida, Afrodita is waiting for the man of her dreams. The sound track is really cool too.

Underground (1995) aka Bila jednom jedna zemlja (Federal Republic of Yugoslavia) by Emir Kusturica

C'est arrivé près de chez vous (Man Bites Dog) by Rémy Belvaux
& André Bonzel with Benoît Poelvoorde. A camera crew follows a serial killer/thief around as he exercises his craft. He expounds on art, music, nature, society, and life as he offs mailmen, pensioners, and random people. Slowly he begins involving the camera crew in his activities, and they begin wondering if what they're doing is such a good idea, particularly when the killer kills a rival and the rival's brother sends a threatening letter.

Guys, please use imdb or wikipedia link on the title of the movies.

    Meet the Feebles

Imagine the Muppets in an NC-17 movie loaded with sex, drugs, horrible acting, and just wild shit overall. Best damn muppet movie out there, as far as I am concerned.
Telephone call? Telephone call? That's communication with the outside world. Doctor's discretion. Nuh-uh. Look, hey - all of these nuts could just make phone calls, they could spread insanity, oozing through telephone cables, oozing into the ears of all these poor sane people, infecting them. Wackos everywhere, plague of madness.

How about Fear and loathing in Las Vegas ?
Based on Hunter S. Thompson book, not sure if its weird enough for your taste but Benicio del toro and Johny Deep gave top notch performance in this movie.

that movie gave me funny flashbacks to being as fucked up out of my mind as they are, especially the bar scene where the carpet is moving around in swirls

First movie ever to capture and show the weirdness that is a drugtrip, imho

Good movie, but not quite as good as Where the Buffalo Roam.

Man bites dog is really wicked stuff, more creepy than a horror movie because it often feels like a documentary.
