It was great, our dudes were pasting so many drakes but your dudes just kept on coming into system. When our reps started getting overwhelmed I realised running logistics is much harder than I thought it would be

Twas good brawl.
Short BR: NOTEC beam zealots were engaging at short range on drakes. CFC slowcats were on grid blapping. At one point the drakes bounced and NOTEC engaged two different slowcats at close range. A thanny went into ~20% structure but didn't die. Drakes came in close, stayed close, and we brawled it out at 0. Eventually enough NOTEC logis died that CFC were able to break the reps and take down the FCs. NOTEC killed tackle and got out before losing the rest of the fleet.

We were a little over Zealot in our search for a fight. Formed too early for the gist of the USTZ people to get on and into system. We got the system jammed and all hostile cyno's down but support and 5 supers couldn't break the slowcat reps and FC called for supers to warp out before the other 6 landed (com error). CFC or TeamNoTech welp coming soon to a system near you!

We are having fun and we will keep fighting but it's pretty obvious that fights need strategic objectives. Before the Tribute invasion, during brief interludes of peace; ncdot or BL. would form up their gang and come to VFK. Sometimes we would form up and chase them off, sometimes we wouldn't and they would go over to L-C looking for some pvp.
Skirmish commanders would take roaming gangs through Tribute on over to Taisy or CE and back but more often than not, Tribute is pretty dead when ncdot isn't formed up. I believe you guys when you say you didn't ever really bear in that space. I don't even know where Black Legion. lives.
Without objectives, moons, stations, key systems, resources and regions; what or why would we fight? Why wouldn't we just keep playing GW2 or BF3? Would Twinkey or Elo convo Boat each night and agree upon a time or place to meet up and fight? No, Boat would play LoL all night and Twinkey and Elo would do whatever they do. Go roaming in assfrigs maybe.
Objectives provide motivation and our attendance soars when there are key things on the line (yours as well) like when UMI fell and we got our foothold in Tribute. I know ncdot and BL. fight for more than just kb stats, pride is a factor; but to dismiss the objectives and say they don't matter is being dishonest.
You guys get about 150-200 in fleet on a normal night and had close to 800 for the Fall of UMI. People care about strategic objectives.
How can you pull the name Goonswarm or NCdot from that quote when we are talking about facts. Its not exactly an opinion that the timer only exists for an objective that is wanted from an opposing side. And NCdot fight for it and they give a good fight before the inevitable so I don't see where this need to keep moving goal posts around until it fills your niche comes from.
Goonswarm are still the EVE equivalent of the Vengaboys (fun, dumb, dutch), but now their enjoyment comes through smug and schadenfreude after imposing galactic hegemony on everyone else. They've clearly evolved since the days of Remedial (and lost hella weight)
NCdot are just saving face or something, they're too elitepvp to actually be having fun
