Not in my case. While it does make losing a ship a less painful affair, the humour on comms is more what kept me with goons after we lost delve/querious/period basis, and I've yet to see a single reason to leave.
Whenever you ask a soco or other coalition pilots why they didnt join CFC its usually some poorly worded hurfblurf about honor, scamming, and goons being "evil".
I hate to say it, but I think TEST and Goons actually have higher standards (of intelligence) than -a- and friends.

I think you are putting your finger on an interesting issue here - when goons held Delve after the fall of BoB there was a lot of publicly voiced concern about their position (great space, winning eve) attracting lots of "pubbies" which were expected to dilute the alliance identity and leave as soon as things get tough.
And at least as far as I know that concern turned out to be valid - once Delve was lost and goons relocated to NPC space their activity levels dropped rapidly as many of their fair-weather friends simply stopped logging in.
However, I can't recall hearing any such concerns voiced in a serious fashion ever since Goonswarm took over Deklein and the whole "true goons" vs "pubbies" (mind you, pubbies with SA accounts) issue seems to be dead now (which makes me think that the "pubbies" won as bittervets don't shut up easily on their own). 3-4 years ago it was goons themselves making such posts as yours, not their enemies.
It would be interesting to hear some opinions on what caused that change of heart - was it the masses of pubbies themselves changing the face & culture of Goonswarm? can it be attributed to the change in leadership? is it due to Goonswarm as an alliance growing much larger than just Goonfleet/GoonWaffe? some transformative experience after the loss of Delve?

1) If CFC wanted/wants to take Trubute, they'll get it.
2) Zagdul IS a chill dude and we enjoy his company on TS from time to time.

That's not what happened, what happened were that DariusJOHNSON stomped around like a raging bull in a chinashop and kicked out a few corps for arbitrary reasons. I was in one of the corps who got kicked out in that trip through the shop, but the instant I had an inkling I might be able to join a corp which was in goonswarm, I was back. This was pre-tech and pre-deklein, too.
For the right price I can do far worse.

IIRC six or seven depending on whether or not the bomber is bonused for the type of bomb it's using.
The only logical reason for using more than this amount is because bombs are duds if the bomber that shot them dies. The more bombers you use on a run, the more likely it is that you'll swamp the enemy fleets ability to shoot the bombers. Alternatively, the more bombers you use, the more likely it is one of the muppets in your bomber fleet actually knows how to warp off before he gets shot. Whichever way you look at it, it increases the likelihood of bombs hits at the cost of efficiency.
Since it's difficult to co-ordinate multiple staggered bombing runs, this is probably an acceptable trade off for some FCs.
