Quick br from the nc. aussie perspective.
Fight 1
We formed up for pos defence, managed to scrape up around 90 odd in fleet peak, drakes and the usual and then made our to f-rt6q, and chilled at a pos and called each other cunts for 15 minutes or so. Goons jumped next door, so we warped to gate, they jumped through, not sure they had prob 150-180 ish?, and we brawled. we managed to kill a few initially, but the numbers started to tell and we couldnt hold reps, so the call was made to "Run cunts". The bosses then said fuck it, lets switch ships and go brawl againm so we snuck out and reformed into around 50 rokhs and maels, + 15 or so scimies and then headed back.

Fight 2
we held on f-r gate till everyone was there, then jumped back in to about 180 cfc in local, cfc promptly warped to gate and the brawl started in earnest. At the start we were blapping drakes at a good clip, but our reps were not holding and bs starting dropping along with the tackle/webbing etc, after a bit we couldnt break the cfc repps and the drakes stuck to us like a tampon in a vagina. We ended up losing around 1/2? the fleet when the "run cunts" command was given, so we clutched our balls and burnt everywich way out of the bubbles and posed up. currently hiding like choir boys at a catholic priest convention whilst there is nearly 300 cfc blapping posses and shit.

Awsome fight aussie bro's, was good to get a decent brawl this time zone, thanks our fearless fc. for going balls to the wall and going all out.

I'm sure they picked up a big percentage of Raiden's active super pilots when the Ankou joined, though I don't know how that was spread between finfleet, x13, and ankou.

It varied quite a bit. Ankou, x13 and Finfleet were the top punchers in terms of supers, but I'd say x13 were by far the most active super pilots. Finfleet never kicked people who were inactive, so while technically they had a lot of supers, the number would always be higher than the realistic maximum number they could field. Ankou and x13 were similar in size and supers, but I believe that x13 being purely euro could bring all their supers in the same timezone.

But yeah, I never understood NC's tacticsof keeping their tech for another 3-5 months by joining OTEC (I'm still bitter and hope Tribute fucking burns

), with the cost being losing an ally who could have been the deciding factor in throwing around supers. Raiden. did it without much hassle, even though it was before the latest nerf, in EU TZ and was (possibly?) the last entity to actively use supers constantly?

Well, back in the days when dyspro and static plexes were the king of the food chain not one break-up happned because of greedy allies. (for example the RA split, the AAA vs GSF "backstab", etc) so yeah if you have high-end resources scattered around the universe more localized fight will broke up. But all this shit was written down like a hundred times, so tech is like Sauron's ring, it corrupts everyone and it must be destroyed by hairy little ccp devs.

But I wouldn't worry, GSF always manages to keep afloat, even with CEOs as DARIUS JOHNSON THE GREAT, so the tech nerf will bring huge amount of fun I hope and will cause a big ass migration between regions.

I don't know, seems like the same cast of characters on both sides of the aisle, except for XXdeath who moved over to the CFC side. the current members of the CFC were essentially the NC and they are now fighting against the same dudes, with different names, that they always fought. I don't remember NCdot doing much in the OTEC thing except NOT showing up for timers on either side.

I'll give you that most wars seem to be fought over tech in some fashion lately, but I don't see much blueing of arch-enemies to save tech. PL blurs the line, but they have been blue to everyone in game at least once probably, depending on who was paying at the time or what they felt like doing.

Perhaps you are right. Maybe I'm just angry because I long for the days of multiple powerblocks. Every war seems to involve the same people nowadays, blobbed up on 2 sides to duke it out for a couple days before it all falls apart and one side just steamrolls the other.

I just want a really good war, one whose outcome isn't so clear from the onset. The last one I can remember was the DRF vs NC

What you want is a less sucky sov system which doesn't just depend on who stuffs the most people into the target system at the final station timer.

There are two major conflicts going on in EVE right now, with either 3.5 different sides (NC.+co, -A-+co., and with the ambiguity of the HBC/CFC split I'll chalk that whole thing up to a side and a half) - and a 4th sitting it out on the sidelines for the time being (hint: it includes the alliance in your name).
