I was out sailing the seas of cheese for God and Country. But back now and trying to figre out how shit works again. I wasn't going to play eve but it seems I've been talked back into it rather quickly. As for tanks, well that's a skill you never forget. I donated gold to get a Superpershing and a Type 62. Both are fun in their own way. As for teammates, I hope to God school starts soon because the brain dead asshats who are playing right now are causing my win/loss to go even lower.

I do not see how MWO will be any diffrent from that since you are able to buy credits using rl monies. The richest people will be wandering around in Clan mechs and weaponery while the rest of us scrubs are stuck with machinegun outfitted Commando's.

For me, the satisfaction of F2P games is stomping the guys who spend $10,000 on their gear (I'm not joking, I once knew a guy...) with my shitty popguns. A while ago, I used to play an F2P MMO with open world spaceship shooting PvP (it was pretty fun, but it was horribly coded and Korean) where people would spend obscene amounts on stuff... and I'd often still beat them 3-to-1 with my <mad piloting skills>
but then I probably spent more time getting better at that shitty game than they did working for that cash advantage. Still, I enjoyed it when they'd message me and call me a hacker, so I still say I won out. Consider this, and the fact that from what I've seen the MWO community is full of incredibly spergy manchildren, and I'd bet you will harvest a lot of tears with your Commando my friend

The tabletop ppl are pretty damn funy in this community though. Theyre the guys who scream that you cant change anything from what it is in the tabletop game yet the devs already have drastically changed this but any changes THEY make are ok.

I'm bumping this thread because I finally fixed my laptop (a software problem prevented me from updating .NET framework) and I'm downloading MWO, which I've wanted to play for like a year now.

I have a subscription running but unfortionly my lappy barely runs it and has a habbit of overheating and shutting during a match so I gave up. Going to get a propper computer this summer and ill be giving it a nother go.

Also, they still haven't implemented clan tech because no one wants P2W. So the game is definitely playable, and starting off a new account gives you a c-bill bonus. Only tok me 27 matches to buy an Atlas. My favorite things to drive is my Atlas DDC and a catapult C2 atm. Alpha strike in the face every time.

So I tried playing it last night and even on minimum graphics it was running at like 8 FPS and looked worse than MW3 which runs at like 30 FPS.
I'm upgrading my CPU and RAM in about a month, when that happens I'll try again.
Don't know what to tell you. I am running a 4 year old Asus laptop with 2.13 ghz duo, 4 GB of ram and a 1 gig NVIDIA card. I turn my graphics down but it runs smoothly most of the time.
I have a 2.0 duo and 4 GB and the framerate blows ass.
I'm upgrading to 2.8 duo and 8 GB RAM, plus if I've got a little left over I want to swap my HDD for an SSD and store most of my junk on an external drive.
Bought a highlander and then stopped playing again before I spent the bills to fix it up, its fun but getting pubstomped gets annoying. Also Atlas best stompy robot. 4evah.
