Oh well, we just got our asses kicked in 49- over the RAT. tower. I dont know how many we lost, but jamming tengus weren't working as well as yesterday, the HB logis were repping like mad motherfuckers everything, so I guess none of them was jammed. Also this time Wrik Hoover survived, so I'm seeing a pattern here.
As an actual BR it's not much to say, we warped on top of the rokh/alpha fleet of TEST, couldn't break reps, but initially our logis did fine too (I was primary three times, and got saved 2 times, then got alphaed right in my face), then there was a pretty fucked up warpout when we got bubbled and I guess lost a fair bunch of ppl there. So we warped out and stood down. Props to honeybadger logis, they did a scaryly (does this word exist?) good job.

Yea the idea is to sit outside of tengu range and damp the current target caller down (since you can only broadcast as far as you can lock). Should go well theoretically but it's p. AIDS maneuvering between 3 hostile fleets ((

Serious question...do you think having to repeat instructions in more than one language puts a fleet at a disadvantage? I've been in a couple of multi-lingual alliances and I've always kind of wondered.
(Though at times it's difficult to tell if the people on that recording are speaking Russian or just heavily accented English...)

Yeah, the accented English is hard to decipher; fleet morale is certainly affected by an FC who sounds like he's running from the police. And if you have a less-than-perfect Mumble/TS connection, you won't be able to pull anything of value from comms at all. There really need to be two targe-callers sharing a separate comms channel to coordinate bilingual instructions ideally.

Tribal Band has a fair amount of Russians and Brazilians (speaking Russian and Portugese respectively). I think that for the most part our FCs just use simple words like primary, hold, jump, etc. and try to avoid using too many colloquialisms. Common words that everyone can understand work great. For more complicated thoughts we have to use translators, usually on a seperate comms or channel.

Big ups to Rusrog for being our alliance "Google Translate" for our RUS backbone. Though the russians usually do their own thing in their timezone. JFLC being one, they do a lot of their own roams and ops. They also have their own mailing list, in which alliance mails and forum posts are translated for them.

That is basically the difference between ECCM and not. Your Tengus are, after all, not bonused for ECM and you are using them beyond 1st falloff. It becomes a numbers game and with enough, you can overpower non-ECCM Scimis even though individual jam chance is not that great. Since coming down south, we have not faced any amount of ECM so we removed the ECCM on our logis. This is no longer the case.
so TEST/PL/RZR stood down. Any news why?

But they should jam the huggins just fine, but I think that fleet was the epitome of fuckups on every level. I can't comment on the logi+eccm vs unbonused tengu ecm part, I'm no numbers wizard but the results seems pretty obvious. I'd like to think that this unorganized fleet was a one time messup (I'm a glass is half full guy), but I think the Honeybadgers and the remaining -A- bloc is a pretty good match which will result in a very bloody yet fun stalemate in the 49- / 4-0 border.
Also, don't hate on Lee, he's been out of game since WN, so he's a little rusty, but we've got our ~elite~ wormhole spaceship guild back, so I guess it's back to welping tengu fleets

+1 to that. It was always funny in those DRF mega fleets. Orders would be in English and Russian unless things were getting real, then it was rapid fire Russian and lots of chaos
Many of the AAA Tengu's are fit with the ECM bonus subsystems. Their dps of course is shyte but they can jam out at 100km. If they have a full fleet and IF Maka doesn't find a way to LeRoy his Tengus, they could pose a problem even fighting outnumbered.
The fleet which was run today for a pos save in 49- was at 256 total with about 50 scimis and a shit ton of tengus, about 30 of which were the ECM type. TEST etc passed up the fight so the pos was repped and Vikings had a POS and j/b incapped to give the fleet something to do. A seperate tackle and Tornado fleet was also run. I have no idea if Horft was running a bomber gang as well given I don't speakie MoonTalk.
Maka moaned at some fine British lads who were dual boxing the Olympics with the (now boring) pos bash. Team GB took down the wiley Urugayans (or howeverDAfuck its spelled). Its good to be British.
