Short heads up to give this thread more content and less shitposting: IRC/ED/PNG and SONE fought over I2D3 station, which came out of last reinforcement, yesterday. SONE brought a Drake fleet. IRC/ED/PNG also brought a drake fleet but mixed in a tier3 bcs. With IRC/ED/PNG outnumbering SONE and with NC. not comming in, IRC/ED/PNG was winning the fight when a 30-45ish Verge of Collapse fleet jumped in chased both SONE and IRC/ED/PNG away. With Verge of Collapse leaving the battlefield, IRC went back to business and killed the station when NC showed up in a Mael/Rokh fleet. A fight ensued in the nearby ratting system RQQ with IRC/ED/PNG blobbing NC. http://irc.eve-kill.net/?a=kill_related&kll_id=14137971 .
TL;DR IRC/ED/PNG won the I2D3 fight, only R10,GQ and LEM1 systems are left for SONE in TKE. Looks like the war finally comes to an end, longer than expected, but with the result everyone was expecting.
No matter how this shakes out I hope a few of my friends over there land on their feet. It looks like SONE is being pushed into Geminate and totally out of drone lands while Broken Toys have been headshotted, hearing that was coming was interesting and while I don't hate Broken Toys or anything I had some friends in BL that I was hoping would do what they wanted, despite being red to each other it's not bad to see a few friends pull off a pretty damn good head shot that I don't think BT expected.
As for SONE, I have a few friends in there Lshock, despite the hatred he's generating in this thread is a pretty decent guy, remember it's a GAME guys, he might be space HITLER to you, but only in game. I think it would take a ton for any EVE player to hate another so badly that they couldn't grab a beer together at Fanfest. Also in SONE I've been hoping for the best for a corp in there, Nasgul Collective have some damn good members and I consider their CEO a personal friend after the bullshit we dealt with together at the start of the year. You think being in an FC group together is an experience, trying being introduced and within 24 hours you become an alliance leader with a guy you just met. Crazy shit man, but out of many people I've met in game I think Lore's one of the most chill, his strong soothing voice calming the alliance and making our Jimmy's grow tight..... wait... what?
Anyway, I wish the best for the friends I have over there. It does sound like a really great war and despite some bad forum posting on here it looks like it's been a bunch of good fights. It's just too bad it seems to be coming to an end with the K Expanse most likely going to fall and the entire mass of drone regions, fucking again, will be under one coalition.
Enjoy the good fights and you guys better hope SONE doesn't collapse after the remaining stations fall, they seem to be getting up day after day and sticking to it. SONE are doing quite well in Geminate, they have NC.dot blessing as a pet and will be taken over the new homes (stations) shortly, so the short bus is going to be downside up and merry in a few days.

They issued the order to conquer Gem about a week and a half ago and all they have done is taken a couple of systems that didn't have I-hubs. Their will to CTA is broken in two, their fleet numbers and kill efficiency has bombed and they are being pinned down by the dozen people in Brick who are actually playing Eve atm. I think SONE leadership has pushed too hard, too early in its existence and it's taking its toll on the membership.

We took our (by 'our' I mean brick/brosefs/IAC, one small alliance and two tiny ones) space in Gem -
a) without ever asking for solar or anyone else for help (its true that cascade imminent brought a roaming gang to help us occasionally but never caps), period.
b) with NCdot/Evoke breathing down our neck 24/7
c) we took at least 2 stations and many i-hubs with less than 25 oracles, and yes it was painful but b)

Back in January Geminate was populated by UPS and Controlled Chaos. Brick came along and killed UPS, while Controlled Chaos disbanded for internal reasons.
A coalition formed to get brick out of geminate, consisting of Pinked, Ushra Khan, Broken Toys, Apocalyptic Legion, The Irkunjandi, Giantsbane (towards the end), some merc corp in airaken and a few others. Brick held them back with the help of some lowsec pirates, and a couple of small blues (IAC and Brosefs). Raiden came in to try and finish the job and then lost 6 supercaps to the cfc, lost half their membership and went off to curse. Pinked, Apocalyptic Legion and Giantsbane died, while Ushra Khan went off to do faction warfare.
The remains of the shortbus coalition formed up into Soldiers of New Eve or joined Broken Toys and set themselves up in Kalevela. Ethereal Dawn and PNG started a war with SONE/Broken Toys.
Brick got bored with having no reds in geminate and made an agreement with Mactep to go kill some Ncdot caps. 26 ncdot carriers died. NCdot got angry and took over most of geminate with the help of Evoke. Solar brought IRC in to successfully get rid of SONE. Brick went away to kill things in delve and play Dayz. During that time the northeast started forming up into a decent sized coalition of IRC/ED/Brick/PNG/Scdot.
NCdot has installed TMA, SONE and Broken Toys (I think?) in Geminate. Brick is now back in geminate and is enjoying annoying new and exciting alliances to death.
I haven't seen an ncdot guy in geminate for the past few days. Apparently they're sick of being near the drone regions.

I'm not sure exactly when that war started. It was an isolated little conflict for quite a while.
Someone from ED or SONE might know more about it. We weren't really involved in the drone regions stuff at all. I get the impression that it slowly escalated after Dark Phoenix Rising betrayed ED, which was in late May and early June.
I distinctly recall helping to reinforce ED and bashing on SONE and BT SBUs nearly 7 weeks ago in Etherium Reach. I don't recall ED having dropped SBUs in Kalevala against SONE and BT prior to that.
For want of a nail... 102 systems were lost.
Sone dropped first SBU in Etherium for fun and games, cause we didn't have a fight in a while and whenever i roamed Etherium, ED would drop triage carriers with their battleship gangs, so yes we escalated it cause it seemed like a good fight for us, roughly same numbers competent fighters.
It escaled fast after that when more people piled in, we can argue who brought in who etc I can't really be arsed about this anymore.
