    This is all taken from Sisi, might get changed with testing but overall it looks pretty bamfy.

    The armor repairer bonus on the Velator is a joke, it doesn't have nearly enough cap to run a rep for any considerable length of time.

    I did get 109 DPS out of it without a magstab and about 125 with.

    The fact that you may almost be able to get similar damage to an incursus out of it might make some folks mad. More drone dps taking over for the lost gun and lows.

    Yeah that was what struck me: the ibis bonus to ECM strength is the same as a falcon: double that of a griffin, 50% more than that of a kitsune. It doesn't have the slots to fit as many jammers, and I dunno how well you can fit distortion amps, but for comedy frigate roams those will be supremely annoying to the dudes you drop on because in the hands of a vet they may be near to permajamming many ships on an almost 1 for 1 basis.

    With only 2 mids I wouldn't call it reasonable effective

    These bonuses don't seem to apply per level: It's a flat 30%. Everything's a role bonus. If it were per level, I'd be getting at least 10 jam strength out of a racial instead of the 6.5 I tested on sisi (with two distamps). It also doesn't have the range to do what the other ECM boats do. Still, it's a neat way to get new players involved!

    They buffed the targeting range I think with skills it gets out to 28km now!

    You only get the one from your original race -- if you're Caldari, you will always get an Ibis. Seeding them on the market would let newbies try out different ones.

    I was under the impression you could put the Rookie Ships on the market now. Obviously you'd need to undock/redock to get a new one each time to sell them...
    One of the CCP Devs also said they'd like to see a "Give Rookie Ship" button when docked. Link here. Might make it easier in the future.

    Rookie ships are producible; IIRC one of the newbie missions is to build a rookie ship from minerals and a BPC.

    E: Though I don't see the point of anybody trying to be a puppetmaster through the rookie ship market, since there's literally so many in the game you could probably build a Titan with the combined trit in cargo holds.

    Nah, it's the only t1 frig without a t2 version, the bantam for caldari iirc which is literally worse than the rookie ships.

    Still this is going to be awesome and I think like 6 dudes can gank a hulk with velators already.

    So the buffed skiffs on sisi can get an absurd tank. I tossed together a battle skiff with 114K ehp.


    I'm really scared to know what that would look like with a ganglinked tengu boosting

    basic fleet bonuses plus heat gets it up to 146K

    I only looked at the barges but I doubt a single BS with smarties would kill even a barge with reasonable tank before concord arrived. I mentioned it elsewhere that I think the extra EHP should only apply in low/null (A device that needs to be activated?) and leave the current EHP in empire.

    That said, if ganking is harder to do, you still might see more null mining as these ships can survive a long time under rat fire.

    The devices that can only be used in low- and null-sec are not allowed in high-sec, because of security concerns by CONCORD. CONCORD will have no concerns with a protective device. How could such a device ever be illegal in high security space?

    More PG, CPU and slots are just fine. Some miners will use it to fit ABs and MWDs onto their mining ships and these can still be ganked. In return can gankers then loot more than mining crystals and strip miners out of the wrecks.

    However hit point increases of structure, armor and shields on the hulls is too simple as a solution.

    You can always come up with a way to justify something like that away. Maybe highly developed space has transmissions that mess with your good vibes. For low/null I really like the changes to EHP and I've ganked miners in null before in interdiction operations so it's not like it wouldn't affect me somewhat.

    What fucking retard miner puts prop mods on a barge? If you're going to waste the only mid slot, you waste it on a scanner. Even on a hulk, what's the point. The increase in speed doesn't make help all that much considering the slow base. Why would I even care if I could loot an afterburner, anyway? Maybe you think having one would allow you to gate crash and escape the next time you fly an inappropriate ship during a war?

    Games are not just about shooting stuff. They are meant as a learning experience. Allowing to fit a ship with a big tank as well as to allow for fail fits is better than a carefree hit point buff.

    For some it is about making ISKs. Goons pay you 10m ISKs when you gank a Hulk iirc. Hulkageddon has always been about the cost factor and to use a cheap ship to blow up a more expensive one. Some gankers then do loot the wrecks, yes, and they argue with reason why they do it. Others do not care and just blow them up for giggles and sometimes fail at it for the amusement of the Hulk pilot.

    Last time I was ganked it were two destroyers, but they did not scan my ship nor realise that I was aligned and moving when they entered the belt. I did loot their wrecks. (And my Hulk survived.)

    deadspace fitting one gets it up to 190K, 256.9K ehp with heat.

    but the end result is that you better bring an alpha fleet to gank any shield hardenered skiffs, because anything else will just die

    edit: they buffed its drone bay to 50m3, so it can run 5 meds now. brb running lvl4s in my skiff. This thing has to be treated like a super; neuts, neuts, and more neuts or its not going to die.

    Yeah that was what struck me: the ibis bonus to ECM strength is the same as a falcon: double that of a griffin, 50% more than that of a kitsune.
    Noobships get a flat bonus, well all the other ships mentioned get bonus per lvl.

    True, but it still is strong. Rookie ships never were more than a free shuttle with a little gun on top of it. Any rookie got out of it during his first day in EVE. You get a frigate for free when you do the tutorial missions. I take these bonuses as a symbolic gesture and to show rookies the way towards the different roles of frigates and from there on.

    Experienced players will use them to raise hell when drunk.
