I'm just now listening to the latest episode (wow late I know) but I think you should make it a point to discuss damps given how everyone seemed to agree they were shit in comparison to ECM, yet they basically won Raiden that close fight versus Evoke. (Obviously this is a certain instance but still, they have their use besides just "hurr make the Logi shit")

If anyone is wondering our setup vs. Raiden. was a gimmick ~roaming Nagas l0l~ kind of setup, FCed by cBuHoIIac - we hoped we'd get one of the commentators to try and pronounce his nickname (its "swinopas" and means "pig herder").

Excellent podcast, highly entertaining even though I'm not involved in the 0.0 circus, so keep up the good work.

Just thought i'd try and explain a bit of our reasoning behind the 100AB Tengu setup we fielded against Suddenly Spaceships in our final group match in the AT since there was some discussion about it in the latest episode.

We were expecting to go up against an armor tanked BS heavy setup with Logi and a bunch of T1 frigs as support and figured with the range of the Tengus and 14 damps spread across our team we would be able to sit pretty safe and start killing off their frigs since all we needed was to get more points than they did so killing off their frigs while keeping all our ships alive would have been enough to go through. Yes, the dps on paper might seem low, but with a TP on each of the Tengus and the webs from the Rapier we figured that most of not all of those 2k dps would be applied to whatever we were shooting, so I don't think it's that bad, especially considering how common TDs have been throughout the AT. We also figured it wouldn't be expected of us to bring Tengus since every other Tengu kite team had failed in previous matches and the general thought was that kite teams sucked for this AT. We have also not had a single practice since the pre-qualifiers and all of our Tengu pilots have spent countless hours in them in our day to day pvp on TQ so we figured that this is probably the only setup that we are better at than any other team in the tourney, which might be the reason why the 2 group matches we won was either against a 100 AB setup or flying one, and we kind of wanted to prove that it can be made to work.

The only setups we were really afraid of was another damp heavy setup or a Minnie rush team so imagine our reactions when we warped in and saw a Minnie rush team

. As luck would have it it was probably the easiest Minnie rush variant that we could have come up against. Not a single AF, wtf?!

The hardest part was the start of the match were we would have the least amount of room to manouver as we had to pull them all the way to the boundary without getting cought in order to open up the rest of the arena once we got throught the first turn at which point we were pretty certain we would have it due to being able to run the AB nonstop while the Sleipnirs and Cyclones would run into cap problems trying to catch us. Lost a few too many ships on that first turn, Tengu, Rapier and Scimi but once we got through it we knew it was only a matter of having enough time to burn through ASB charges before the match was over.

About the horribly agility, it's not really THAT big of a problem if you are used to it. As long as you keep your turns smooth enough your speed is kept up fine. That horrible inertia also has an advantage that I don't think a lot of people think about and which actually saved me in this match. At one point I made a bad turn and my speed dropped down to around 1000 m/s and one of the cyclones got a overheated web on me but at the same time I was spamming my overheated web back on him and the inertia of the tengu makes it slow down slower when webed than a MWDing Cyclone which aloud me to coast out of web range and get away. So the horrible agility is not all bad. Definatly one of the best fights I've been in and 100 AB Tengus are not easy to fly properly, especially in the relatively small AT arena and it took every ounce of focus to pull that one off, didn't even realise we had won at the end until someone said it on coms

Wow, that turned out to be a rather long first post, oh well, hopefully someone will enjoy it. Again awesome podcast, not just the AT episodes!

Re: Agony vs Exodus, Jeffm8r, you were correct. We did not intentionally bump the ferox away. I believe he did get bumped but it was not our strategy. Agony has said on FHC that actually the logi Tengu can only lock 5 targets, and this was the one he didn't have locked. We were swapping frantically (1 min left) and finally shot him, surprising the Tengu, and blapped him.

From our perspective, we got lucky, plain and simple. We ran into a setup we had no knowledge of, had never even theory crafted much less tested against, and it showed. We only have like 15 regularly active duders in our alliance so practice is difficult (even without the PL carrier reps and titans), none of whom had really been in the tourney before, so we were bound to run into stuff we'd never seen. In this case, we did. We made a big mistake and tunnel visioned in on the basi, failing to realize it was bait/cap tran only for WAY too long. But then they made a mistake, and it turned the match in our favor. Props to Agony for having the balls to walk the very fine line between genius and insanity with that setup. Sometimes its better to be lucky than good v0v.

We also got moved to system on the same beacon as another team. And it gave us a boner too, seeing a brawl setup against our slightly heavier brawl. But then we got out-piloted by the badasses in VoC and lost. And our boners were sad. Oh, and Savaage (I think it was him speaking) is right, Progod is a retard.

That sounds terrible but if you want your jog to get ruined what you do is go to the blogspot page, click on the link that says something about subscribing or blabla to aggregator of your choice. That's the feedburner.com page and on there the Play Now link is to the mp3 file. Rightclick save.

Or you look at http://archive.org/download/ShitOnKu...itOnKugu18.mp3 and just replace the two 18s with whatever episode number you want.

I don't really give a fuck about the place if I have to stick to a list of words that are approved by vinata. Especially when it is just a list of personalised acts of attainder, so faggot is wrong unless someone vinata likes says it in which case it is not infractable while nigger is wrong unless it is your name in which case it is fine and so on.
