It's not so much the specific module that's important, but rather the fact that not a single scimi in the SoCo fleet (except that one hero I mentioned - and any others who didn't die) thought it prudent to bring 4 reps and concentrate on their role when fighting over a strategic objective. You're not on some fucking roam - you're doing this to secure space for your alliance to continue existing, make money, or expand.
That's why we call -A-/SoCo shit. It's not because any of their individual grunts make egregious errors, but rather the entity as a whole (and specifically their leadership) cannot work as one organized cohesive unit to accomplish their objectives and lack the self-reflection to realize this. Instead of looking at the Battle Reports and seeing things such as bad fleet cohesion and poor target calling, they simply keep spitting the same tired lines that hold no baring on the situation.
Conversely, Looking at that battle report only 1 dead scimi from HBC had offensive modules. The majority fit 4 reps in their highs - one guy had a deadspace rep as his fourth. Their fits were standardized and decent. Why? Because leadership has incentives (reimbursement) for not being a selfish prick and understands the importance of strategic objectives. We play this game as a unit rather than an individual and we are better for it.
Your point should be about how they didn't standardize their fit, not that a 4th rep is the required 4th high slot mod for the scimmy. You sound dumb when you say that.

Tank I can understand, but if you are jammed 1. Scimis are too close, but that can be unavoidable, 2. Warp off (but you can't because you are still too close and caught in bubbles.)

My capstable MWDing 4x LST scimitars with ECCM have 40k ehp and 58.4m2 sigradius.
If a ship with that ehp and sigradius dies to alpha or dps despite proper range, speed, transversal and heat management, or your fleet is unable to efficiently remove hostile ECM from the field, your fleet or FCing has more important things to worry about.
And you won't be fixing these things with 2000word essays, I'm afraid.
In short, the -A- Scimi fits are terrible and either you are retarded to argue otherwise or you are nagging about the equivalent of someone contesting the accuracy of the 122th decimal of Pi in a equation where the result is rounded to the nearest integer.

PGL is not justifying -A- fittings here as they're clearly shit however he is trying to point out that smart bombs aren't entirely useless as ppl would like to think. It's cool that CFC has standardized fittings that you can just buy anytime from contracts (wish we had something like that all the time) and dont have to tinker about changing that fit at all.
Also, thinking that your scimis will be all the time outside of the range of enemy drones is just stupid. Every time we engaged enemy fleets (no matter PL/TEST/whatever) we got well in range to scimis, buddy there's no perfect situation except in theory crafting on forums and in EFT (Insert EVOL motto here!). \o/

Id imagine the medium rep and the meta extender were because the fit was tight and not everyone has perfect skills. And the lack of DCU is there for the cap to run the perma-mwd and reps.

I just doubled checked our "official fittings" on wiki and ingame saved ones.
They all have reps in highslots, and the whore guns/empty highslots are AWFUL, yes.
Smartbombs isn't directly stupid to have, but mainly it's logi anchors who are asked to have them fitted to counter drones.
Don't ask me why SO MANY can't properly fit the ships, I hope it's lack of skills.
I kinda doubt that scimi fittings was what lost D-3 for -A- though.
