The line member of AAA is arguably WORSE than the line member of TEST.
They are:
- Less informed, lied to on a regular basis by their leadership they are usually the last to ever 'get' whats going on.
- Less diplomatically able, reading your alliance and corp chats shows you to only barely get along with each other, and the second shit starts looking really down they're at each others throats.
- Poorly equipped. The average TEST member has a a fair few options for what his alliance supplies for him. They have better intel, incentives to FC (even if they're bad), Dreads, full fleet reimbursements on just about everything.
I mean, by what metric are you measuring that you are better than anybody at all? The fact that you 'still exist'? If thats the case CVA are miles above and beyond AAA.
EDIT: You also won't generally find test ECM droning their FC.
Let me get this straight. You camped the station killing random faggots for like almost an hour they finally decide to undock and fight you and you drop hundreds of more guys on them and then claim they welped? Just want to make sure we know where the bar is set.

Their membership is fed this stuff and told it is good. The people who join up and stay aspire to be the mouse that hides in a hole in the wall when the cat is around. This is their goal in life. They want to be a cockroach. They want to run under the fridge when somebody hits the light switch. I won't say there's no pride to be had in being difficult to kill, but when you've basically fitted warp stabs to the brains of your alliance members, is it any wonder they don't do well?

I think where AAA need to be wary is that they're not fighting the DRF, or the NC in this sov war. Its unlikely that the CFC+HBs will claim the space and install some renters and walk away in an uncaring manner.
The CFC, specifically Mittens & Co. but realistically all members is a proper Coalition, unlike previous ones. The CFC is not built on a pet/renter heirarchy, and I think you'll find that if people do get space in these areas and are actually part of the CFC, then any attempt to 'retake Catch' will result in large numbers of CFC members coming down on AAA like a ton of bricks.
I'm actually quite excited about all this, it may legitimately be the end of renters in the west.
In the meantime, AAA are allowing numerous TEST and CFC second and third-line FCs to cut their teeth on with drakefleet. To get used to their caps, supers and titans. While the AAA-bloc relies on 1 or 2 FCs to be able to call and lead coalition level operations, CFC + Honeybadgers are able to flash-form 200+ fleets on any one of a dozen FCs, some of which most people have never heard of, many of whom are becoming competent, if not brilliant. Well after Makalu claims burnout and goes to play other games, the mainline CFC + Honeybadger FCs will be happily rotating in when shit needs doing, and then enjoying themselves the rest of the time and leaving the repetitive stuff to others for training.
HoneyBadgers and the CFC will come out of this war with things that are far more valuable than a couple of regions.

I think the most disappointing part of the loki welp was the numbers they managed to get even though they announced it long in advance. If you're going to announce a 'big fleet' in earshot of PL/TEST/Goons spy networks, at least make sure its a big fleet, because every slavering killmail starved guy on this side of the fight is going to be there. You were pretty much guaranteed to get at least two full fleets ready to fight you, even that deep into whatever timezone it was.
