I do feel for SoCo dudes. It must be horrible not being able to take out fleet whenever you want.

It's also a lot easier to learn how to FC when you know that when you inevitably fuck up, as one does when learning something new, the dudes you just got killed will get reimbursed fully

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Having a fleet concept that has a nice tank and does more then the 250 dps that their lokis currently do might be helpful.

It strikes me that the only sensible recourse for the SoCo is to withdraw completely to Catch, implement some major command structure changes, and spend the next couple of weeks prepping for an all-out invasion there by setting up multiple trade hubs, staging towers, and fleet doctrines. Run roaming squads into Querious and Period Basis to interdict and harass, and to give their FCs (and trainee FCs) some training and ideas on how to counter us. The two weeks it will take us to grind Querious and Period Basis should give them enough of a breather to get something sorted so that when we get there, they are on more of an even footing.

Of course, this might fall under the auspices of something "sensible" to do, so there is no chance in hell it would happen.

Oh bright new day: it seems almost prophetic to be playing with spaceships on the day that scientists announced their confidence that they will soon be masters of the elusive Higgs Boson. It can't be long, surely, before we find an antidote to this malign particle: after all, anything which imparts mass (and therefore fatness) is the scourge of the Goonswarm Federation community.

And let it be noted that Europe owns the only source of this terrifying new Higgsian particle, and that America will soon kneel before even the most effeminate of Spaniards when faced with our death-dealing, Boson Ray cannons and the threat of us dropping the nightmarish B-Bomb on NYC. Don't think you can disarm our Higgers with platitudes.

Anyway, in the meantime you can enjoy one last, independent 4th of July before the long night of Portugese hegemony falls across the New World. And what better way to do so than to ignore those tedious, so-called "relatives" (they only invite you so you feel guilty enough to look after them when they grow old, repetitive and frankly leaky) and instead to camp AAA into their stations (or "prisons", depending how you look at it) while dismantling their proxy empires as we march inexorably - if somewhat wheezily and at serious risk of aortic dissection - towards Catch?

We've been shitty at getting pos.jpg to you for the last few days, and people have been missing out because of it, so here is when you can expect fleets for subcaps and supers. In fact, you can usually expect subcap ops, literally four or five at a time, for most of the day, unless your family was sent to Australia for tampering with a cow's privates in the 19th century, in which case take what you are given and count yourself lucky we don't call you an abo, make you wear blackface, and post you, blind-drunk, by the gates of each system as a warning of the dangers of devil-juice*.

I got carried away there in a frenzy of prejudice. Here is the pos.jpg:

Admittedly it looks a little sparse with, heh, only two station systems to be taken amongst the timers today, but why not hang around, skip going out dancing to the mass-produced dubstep in some tawdry little jigglehut and instead stay in with your Test brosefs, or chill out in a supercap fleet with the easy-going charm of Elise, the chillness of Jeffraider or the primal and frankly disturbingly racist fury of Grath? I was in their fleet for two hours last night and got tons of killmails, although admittedly every time they DDed something I was too busy starving my cap buddy (sorry "Radiogaga's Slave"

) or bouncing at literally 11,000m/s to easily drink in the moment.

What's that you say? You want to bathe in the misery of a fellow-human being? To idly titillate yourself watching the pitiful and self-justificatory shamejaculations (it's a word: look it up) of mankind at its lowest ebb? Why not tickle your fancy with tonight's installment of the comic extravanganza which is Makalu in the latest of his comic series on how not to FC:

Listen to Makalu's scrotum-blistering inability to grasp even the basics of FCing and his furious attempts to blame his loss on his allies, his fleet, blobs, the enemy's refusal to bring his choice of ships, his simple-minded sister, the star sign "Capricorn" and the premature collapse of the second Hittite empire. Protip, Makster: in a fight against a fleet including huginns, lokis and frigates you shouldn't be confused when some dudes can't keep up!

An interesting side-effect of the eye-watering cowardice of "bloc leaders" AAA is the rapidly increasing alienation of their unfortunate allies: Nulli grunts are at the eye-rolling stage; Raiden's support was always half-hearted in the first place; while The Initiative, who it would be fair to say didn't exactly have AAA on their Christmas card list in the first place, and who were only present in order to circle Raiden's tastier corps while attempting to hide their salivating expression, are openly mocking Herc's Lords of the South.

So after my debut yesterday in this wonderful communitythat is Kugutsumen. I'm posting the humble personal experiences of this SoCogrunt regarding yesterday events, July the 3rd.

When I'm writing this post I'm still in 319 system. And surprise, surprise I'mnot docked! Yeah that's right we actually from time to time, inflate ourselveswith courage and take a peak outside in to the cold and dark space... So anywaywhen I arrived home and logged in I found myself docked and camped to hell instation. So I started to ask in intel channels if 319 undock was clr. "It’scamped to hell and bubbled" "just wanted to be sure :P" dam thebastards are camping the station again I thought , tomorrow I will log out inspace !!! Terrific idea for a guy with 7 years of EVE experience!!!

So I start to look at fleets to see how I could help. People are askingvolunteers to jump clone to GE- in order to take care of some Gentleman’s thatwere camping a station in Catch. Later I saw that 2 bad guys in carriers andsome support thought that was a good idea to camp a station in Catch "goonstyle" but ended DD by 2 titans... well it was a solution to the problemalso, so problem solved.

But anyway I didn't volunteer for that action and discovered a fleet that wasbeing gathered inside station to actually undock and bring the fight to the badguys. And so we gathered 124 people being FC'ed by a Nulli Secunda guy, verydecent FC’ I must add. So the order to undock came and we did it! We actuallydid it!! WE UNDOCKED, or better yet they undocked and I waited a bit longer,since I was in a bomber and didn't feel to be the hero that was in front of ourforces.
So we started to fight, I've thrown a bomb, killed 1 badguy (ffs how the hell I’ve aimed at the red blob and managed to hit a singleguy ???) My son at my side is saying something about me being a lousy bomberpilot while I’m looking at logs with my mouth open stating the obvious: MY AIMSUCKS!!
Anyway fight is going well. A bomber wing makes a passand lands their bombs right in the middle of the red Drakes with awesomeresults and then 1 hostile cyno came up... surprise, surprise, cap drop on topof our heads while we were fighting. We never expected that!!! Confusion, yelling,people saying "we were warned" and me, in the middle of that tryingto find out where is Stan and is car. I'm tackled but my Warp core stab makesis job again and I GTFO and with me a big part of the fleet.

Jeez, I survived but some of us didn't, even so it went very well. The bad guysare looting the field while waiting to jump back to whenever they came. Too badthey jumped the Caps I thought. Oh well fair game.
I took a break and went to watch some TV while clocked inspace. A few hours passed warped back to station and see a small red wing ofbombers making a bomb run. Must be one of the new newbie FC’s they talk so muchin Kugu, or they are very similar to me and missed their targets. In the end theydon’t kill anyone and I manage to whore on some KM’s.
