He's a small gang FC and -A- is a small gang alliance. In small gangs where you are kiting in fast ships or in elite pvp outnumbered situations you try to clear tackle and ECM first before working over enemy DPS, as long as your own shit isn't dying, in which case you immediately start pulling range and disengage asap and get somewhere safe, aka a station.

If that's what makes people happy at the end of the day it's just a game. Morale wins wars in EVE.
