Nearly everyday about 10 minutes after the server is up (after Downtime), a small say 50vs50 (Kitchen sink BC) ~gudfite~ occurs on the 1DH gate, in PR-. Best content i have had in our prime AU TZ in a long time, no lag, only valient space nerds duking it out. best fun in EVE.... Short of staying at home from work to catch a Durrake fleet that is.

I Hope, that with Nulli's pre-determined departure that these fights continue, and its not us roaming trying to catch stragglers/ratters & weird NZ nerds that warp stab drakes.

lol @ that vindi loss, with guys like that nerd calling the shots for block wide fleets, its any wonder Nulli has pulled up the stumps.

Trying to get their swagger back in Catch, -A- got dunked by a noobie FC in Drakes. Be warned noobie FC, Maka will get you one day !

After ganking his Vindicator, Maka was furious with GENTS and took a fleet to ref a couple of their towers. Boat thought it was funny as hell and told GENTS he would send a fleet over there for more tears for the -A- tear jar. We parked 70km off the station in GE and waited patiently for them to undock. We had 256 in fleet but not many logi.

They undocked Abaddons and geddons and we scrapped for a few minutes. Our FC's may have been newbees but our anchor was pr0 and kept us out of their range. They de-agressed and docked up. Repeat a few minutes later, this time with some dreads repping. We chewed up BS after BS and they docked up again. Round 3 when they undocked the grid was fucked up and we were de-sync'd with battleships showing 60km away but really being 86+ away so we warped out and back in. I missed the fleet warp here and died but I guess they got 2 Dreads and a Bhaalgorn (lol!) after going back.

FC lost his ship and there was some debate about whether to leave or go back and leave everything on the undock but ultimately it was decided to swagger back to F20 since more and more dreads kept showing up with each round. The Bhaalgorn pilot was personally fined by Makalu.

Hands down the most epic fleet I've ever flown with in 8 years of playing this "terrible space game". I now nominate Makalu as the CFC's Greatest FC. Because if not for his skills and determination, CFC pilots would have a much harder time raping and pillaging across the lands.

As an ally of Goonswarm, I can confirm they bring more dudes to defend our shit than we do.

This was a huge problem at one point where they brought a fleet of 250 to defend our tech and we only had 22. Lets just say that never happened and I somehow became leader after that incident.

Eh, I was mostly a lowly low-sec pirate my first 5 or so. And then breaks and all that. I was in Y-2 back in the day for the 3-hour black screen fest of infamy. That would have been the most epic if not for the lag.

Edit: To elaborate on my post, this fleet wasn't really any different than any others. Except that it was "newer" (I refuse to call them newbie FCs, that Anchor truly does know his shit) FCs and it was just fun. This war has been simple fun. Shooting stuff, getting blown up. This is the first time in years I actually wanted to log into EVE.

While there is a wide continuum of fail in regard of taking care of your allies, the bottom of that continuum, the ninth circle of the "Pit of Shit Allies" is reserved for people who:

1. shoot your allies during strategic ops instead of helping you
2. kill your reinforcements
3. take space from your allies during a coalition-level war
4. suddenly switch sides and start helping your enemy
5. hijack defense of your region and then refuse to fight
6. bring only shiny ships that they're too scared to use in battle (and lose said ships en masse when they do use them)
7. hot drop you on your way out and recruit out of your corps once you get tired of getting fucked by your shit allies that are shit themselves
8. are -A-

I dare you to find a single other entity in game that is this bad at keeping allies

Opportunity cost, man. If you do that then instead of making money off them you lose money on them. Works for northerners who don't rent anyway, doesn't work for southerners who need the income renters bring in.

Arguably it didn't work in the north either. See NC for examples. It works for CFC because they treat people better and it would probably work wherever they were located.

Yes and no. There weren't many huge fights but it was p.awesome having non stop pvp.

The bigger fleet fights were fun but roaming around the area in smaller gangs while the enemy occupied the area was very fun too.

The fact your alliance is pretty much incompetent and has lost most of those large fleet fights and big wars, which is not sustainable, can do immense damage to your enjoyment of the game, and even if it doesn't bother you personally will probably damage your corp by driving other members out of the corp or directly out the game, while embittering your leadership and teaching them the ways of shittiness and divorcing them from reality.

In other words riding the failtrain is never without a price.

First to admit -a- leadership has been p. rubbish recently when it comes to getting our shit sorted.

However it doesn't change the fact
