Climb with a primary weapon, if you reach the top with a pistol your character will always step backwards to draw the gun.

blood transfusion is not as good as meat, get a knife and some matches and go hunting. cooked meat gives the most blood. just make sure you put out the fire and remove the fireplace :P

There's server and global bans. Server bans can be anything from being racist and sexist, using voice chat in global channels, camping beach spawn points, etc. Global bans are done for using hacks (both 'legit', ie server admin, and rogue, ie hacker) that alter gameplay significantly (a while back someone killed everyone in quite a few of the US servers, linky [dev post a few comments down]). Spawning/Using items that don't normally occur in DayZ can also warrant a global ban, even if you didn't create the item initially (or so I'm told).

RE: [WAR] Pandemic Legion declares war on the imposter legionAlright my two cents isn't worth much here but thought I would give a little background on the situation.

This all started two days ago when several of the [Legoin] members were on a different server. (I will not name them publicly as to refrain from dragging someone else into this). Anyway after playing for about 30 minutes in this other server all of the [Legion] members in the server were kicked. As a member of 7Cav (Neutral to both sides) I went to the servers Team Speak to find out why the members were kicked. The server administrator informed me that he bans all [Legion] members on sight. When I inquired he stated this was because the Legion clan is known hackers and do everything they can to exploit the game. He went on to say that the devs for Dayz were aware of this as well.

Anyway I went on to ask this administrator how he knew they were trouble makers and he then stated to me that he has known the Legion clan for several years now and they are known to start trouble. (Being that [Legion] is only several weeks old this was a bit confusing). I asked for clarification on the clan and that is when he stated that "Pandemic Legion" is the problem. I informed him that this clan "WeAreLegion" [Legion] is not the same group. We all then made amends, the players were un-banned, and we all went about our merry ways.

Further probing into this by talking to several other server administrators and they stated they also thought [Legion] is also [PL]. Thus showing that at least several of the people that have been directing these accusations about [Legion] causing problems, hacking, ect, was actually meant to be directed to [PL].

I went to the PR representative for [Legion] and explained the situation and even got him to meet with the server administrator of the server that banned [Legion] on sight and now all is good. However the public statement made by Cory, (while not the most politically correct) was meant to ensure that the administrators understood that there are two clans here in Dayz that use the name "Legion" and to not get them confused.

*Side Note* Myself and a large number of 7Cav have been playing with the [Legion] members now for three weeks and have yet to see all these acquisitions first hand. I cannot say that none of this happens, but if it does, it doesnt happen during the 10-14 hours per day that I play this game.

*** Once again I say that myself, along with the rest of 7Cav remain neutral in this incident. This was simply to give some background to the situation and to provide what I have seen over the past three weeks.***

The section is public if you register and join the Other Games usergroup. Some pubbie madlord registered and linked the screenshots of Bobbechk finding some hacking server admin's stash of tanks as proof of us cheating.

Apparently we were spawning items on our server 3 days before we had any servers running. We are literally that good at cheating.

I finely had me map, knife, compass, watch (not sure what that is for), Winchester, Alice backpack, flash light, some matches, binoculars. But I couldent enjoy them. The moment I left the store two bandits entered, I managed to kill them but horde of zombies that got attracted to the gun fight tore me a new one

i don't think it does anything to bonus you, it is an arbitrary number to define if you are a player killer or not, as you kill people, you lose there humanity score from your own, so if you kill good people your humanity reduces.

when you hit 0 humanity you become a bandit and your model changes - its so people can identify the bad people and kill on sight as the usual "ARE YOU FRIENDLY?" 90% of the time results in silence, then one person dies.

i did particularly enjoy running up to a guy on a server when it was dark, saying i was friendly and a soon as he turned his back i killed him and took his can of beans

I instantly open fire on anyone with a bandit skin. I do not believe the excuse "I defended my self and now I am a bandit" as I have shot over seven people trying kill me and still have 2520 humanity. So my conclusion is that any one looking like a bandit is a fucking bandit and gets some shotgun shells to the face.

is anyone else having trouble since the patch that increased zombie spawns/respwans i find it hard to clear out a town get in get the gear and get out without at some point getting respawned on and having to fight my way back out

I think everyone has that problem. But I found that as long as I stay crawling on the ground you can get pretty ffing close to the zombies before startling them.

You can regain humanity by bandaging others and providing blood transfusions. You also regain 150 humanity every 15 minutes iirc, so you can spend your time shitting in the woods and become a better member of society at the same time.

That being said, my humanity is currently at -85,000. I have 2-5 RL friends on at any given time, so I'm not dependent on looking friendly towards random strangers for transfusions.

Also, with the most recent patch which gave zombies enhanced reproductive abilities it would appear that smoke grenades are a much more vital component of your inventory now.

What is decent substitute for my hand gun? right now I am using a revolver but i am not really liking it. I am mostly walking around with a shotgun as main weapon.

e; I have been exploring other towns up north in order to avoid Cherno and Elektro but there are hardly any buildings you can enter and you have to be very lucky to find a item in a shed let alone that the town has a store or bar. I currently travelled to Zelenogorsk because that seemed relativity large but all it had was a single store. I was quite disappointed having ran all that way for nothing.

you ran in the wrong direction, Berezino in the north east is the place to go, has a number of apartments in the northern end and a supermarket with a hospital across the road in the southern end. NE airfield is just up the road.

Good to know thanks. I managed to reach the nothern airfield but lagged out and aggro'd some zombies who then ate me.

Best run so far, managed to stay alive for four days but still no NVGs

32hours so far and its still fun.

I doubt that, no money go's to the Day Z mod team as its all f2p. The only money that you pay is for Arma II and expansion and that money stays with the Arma crew I think.

One of the Day Z guys is an ArmA dev, my point is that so many people have bought the game on the strength of this mod alone, so the extra money from that needs to be put toward debugging for ArmA III

Also where on a airfield am I suposed to find nvg? Right now I am camping the travic tower, hangers and barracks.
