Personally, I think anyone who gives up fights for tech money is losing. The point of a game is to have fun. I see having fights every day as the fun part of this game. Others seem to have wallet balances are more important that having fun. When your fake wallet balance is more important that having fun, I really think you've lost sight of the point of a game. I can understand if holding onto your jew money is to facilitate having more fights; being able to reimburse a tengu fleet is very nice. But if holding onto them is hurting your chances for fights / the riskiness of fights then you're kind of wrecking your own game.

It's unrealistic to welp that many times, especially when you all happen to be in the NAP anyway. This game needs more conflicts. Shadoo once said something about having multiple objectives in war scenarios (SOV taking) that require smaller groups working together simultaneously. CCP needs to do something like that but there aren't any real ideas on how to do that yet. You can't be against the blob and then ally with the blob when your shit gets hit.

A Tech nap would be better than what we have now because right now it's essentially a coalition of convenience to protect moon-goo. People who hate each other blue up to protect those assets so when one of those entities moons get attacked, half the map blues up to defend it (hello NC).

Nah you literally need numbers now. Fighting vastly outnumbered like the early days of AHacs and Thundercats is tough to do now. If the enemy brings a BS fleet with proper support you just can't fight 3:1 or whatever anymore. It was a tough adjustment for us as well, cuz it was so alien to get killed when we had 80 and the enemy only had 200 or so. We've got a bunch of cool fleet concepts in da pipe now tho so who knows, maybe we can make a triumphant return to fighting massively outnumbered soon.

Our collected new allies allowed us to outnumber our opponent by a whopping 100 people (they had 338, we had like 450 iirc).

I don't see how evening the odds in a fight of that size is being 'risk averse' or somehow doing a 180.

But you blued up goons regardless, and the CFC formed 500. So to help even out the odds of 500 CFC +40~ PL vs. 130 -A-, Nulli decided to form up 100 people to try and see if the CFC would make a mistake against our 230.

Unfortunately, our blob of 230 was not blobby enough, and we were not able to blob PL that day.

So after it was clear that PL would blue up goons every time to fight 130, -A- decided, "if we can bring 300 maybe they will just bring that 500 again, and maybe we can have a good fight."

But, after seeing 338 enemies formed up, 500 apparently will not do, so NCdot and more CFC such as razor were called in, to bring the numbers up to 700ish I think.

Goons never came into that first fight and -A- outnumbered us 175 to 70 and couldn't take the moon so next time they whistled all 500 of their lapdogs with the promise of taking easy tech from an outnumbered PL and got niggerstomped by RZR/FA maelstroms in relatively close to even numbers
