Hydra Reloaded and Outbreak decided whatever they did last year worked so well they would do it again, and CCP reacted harshly to some players trying to metagame after being warned specifically not to metagame in that way.

Neither of these things are in the least bit surprising. Having said that, it's nice to see Sreegs curb-stomping everybody who pretends it is.

its a shame that neither incarnation of garmon and his low orbiting moons are officially present in ATX so far. but i am more annoyed that i wasted a total 6hrs of chatting to neddy (which was niiiiice, actually) while being an awful logi pilot for approx. 2 minutes in the one training fight i had.. just to find out that we forgot to pay the bill the same night...

i am thinking of bidding an insane amount of plex for ATX just so ppl will curse the day they forgot about it and now have to listen to me on comms and heed my fitting advice (afterburner mallers are win).

I have to say the fact that you can sit here after having broken a rather clear rule in the most stupid way possible, resulting in a rather predictable removal from the tournament that seems to have come as a surprise to you. I think the more amusing insinuation is that Outbreak Reloaded has somehow infiltrated PL's ranks and thus knows what PL will field. Which, even if true, further proves that Hydra/Outbreak are only good at being metagaming turboniggers.

I will admit, the Jersey Devil is rapidly ascending the ranks of "MY FAVORITE GAME DEVS" on the basis of this alone. Or that they'll somehow cut through the fat and find some sympathy at a higher level for the way they've been treated if only they keep posting. Meanwhile almost everyone else is sitting back and feasting from a cornucopia of schadenfreude and DJ goes "Chugga Chugga Choo Choo" as he posts circles around them. CCP owns the ball, the field, the umpires, and the logo on all your team's apparel. Hydra has almost no chance of winning this one.

Training doesn't include joining each other's corps and being unimaginably stupid enough to try and pull the same shit they did last year.

With PL and Sniggwaffe the reason was that they are known to be the feeder corp for Snigg but weren't actively working together on ATX stuff, so only waffles was denied on the basis of them being affiliated.

RvB was a bit of a special case I suppose, seeing as it's widely known they're affiliated and that both sides wanted to participate (possibly against each other, who knows) then it was decided to talk to the CEO and merge the teams.

Yes you could argue that this could also have applied to hydra/outbreak but I'm assuming that they took a stricter stance with this as they've been doing the same shit in previous tournaments, if anything it was a warning shot and not the personal evil vendetta that some arguably butthurt members of the community would have you believe.

The difference is that Red/Blue are actually competitive entities and fight each other regularly, and if AT10 came down to Red Fed vs. Blue Rep, you'd actually see a good fight instead of the bullshit that went down last year between Hydra and Outbreak.

I'd like to see how they would do on their own, I think the ruling was a bit strict but CCP wanted to crack down with this new rule.

As long as there's no member swapping going on I would've let them stay seperate.

It also says you can't appear to be just one team. And what hydrabreak were doing appears, for all intents and purposes, to be one team. That is why they are banned and why PL is not.

Whos denying it? It doesn't really cause me any grief that Hydra had to find someone else to test against to get more numbers. If anything, I am sure the PL posters here are just breathing a sigh of relief that they won't be coming in 4th again and are responding with bluster.

Its been allready said thousand times that hydra cant get 24 people for training without outbreak (just check our killboard and u will see how large our gangs get without a 1 week in advance CTA).

Yeah I read it, and thinking "Hey we didn't actually create a second alliance..." is the kind of lawyer'ing of the rules that CCP wanted to make an example of. They knew damn well what the intention of the rule changes were and went looking for a technicality. Even if their intentions were to simply practice against one another and not in any way attempt to game the brackets, literally no one believes you. Even people who like Garmon and HYDRA chuckle at the idea.

It is pretty unfair that CCP bans PL's B team and still allows PL to compete, yet they ban both hydra reloaded and outbreak. Clearly the should ban hyrda (clearly outbreaks B team) and allow 0utbreak to compete.

I think we can all admit that waffles being banned was only done to make it look like CCP wasn't only going after Hydra. Even so it is safe to say that if waffles and PL were in the tournament together, there would be some collusion between the two, but not in the same way as between hyrda and outbreak.

Either way it is interesting to see that this alliance tournament has a good amount of alliances that aren't really significant. I guess watching a cripple fight might be enjoyable :V

They removed half the good teams, the only other two being PL and darkside. tbh the final hydra gave eve was amazing, sorry it rubbed rawed the anus of ccp and half of eve. Maybe the other teams should have not been such scrubs and gotten their face stomped by hydra/outbreak. I guess CCP just wants to allow other teams to be competitive in this ATX.
