So around 21:09 Eve time Sort began forming a combined TEST/PL ahac fleet while boat was forming Tengus and moved out. -A- and friends were in alphafleet with rokhs (or rokh fleet with maelstroms and tempests idk) roughly ~250 strong with 40 or more logi. Due to eighteen or so hostile Huginns and low guardian numbers on our side Sort switched us out to Rokh fleet and we moved out. Arriving in MB4D-4 our 110 man rokhfleet jumped into DSS-EZ first and decloaked as boat's Tengus followed. Even with only twelve scimis we held them and began brawling at 100+ kms. Their overwhelming scimi numbers saved numerous ships in armor or hull but we slowly began to grind through their maelstroms and tempests. As they burned closer their arty began weighing in more and we started losing battleships. The Tengus got bombed a some point here and boat bounced them around to get behind the -A- bs fleet while we held on to their nose. Eventually Sort warped us out as and we regrouped with the scimis who had been repping the pos to boost our numbers. Going back in we fought for a short time but upon pinging on grid we got bombed and lost the majority of the last of our maels plus some support. Unable to kill anything we disengaged and burned home.

The one thing I noted most in this fight is how strong a Rokh's tank is compared to maelstroms. Our Rokhfleet (with 1200 maels thrown in) only killed three rokhs, one of which tanked 200,000+ damage from both our Tengus and Rokhs and another of which also tanked us like a champ despite being a fireline fit with an already gimped tank. Maelstroms and tempests were dying to us far more often and similarly on our side when we were bombed our Rokhs rode it out in low armor (32% here) while maels popped around us.

Overall a great fight and a ton of fun despite getting driven off field. Props to -A- and Makalu for standing their ground while outnumbered and outgunned. See what happens when you fly an actual fleet and not some coward fit tengus or pants-on-head retarded lokis?

In the end we had to retreat and dock in the DSS station since our Huggins were completely obliterated. Initial plan was to JC to go grab more huggins and then undock to continue fight, but CFC&HB jumped out and we resumed to reinforce the GA tower (again).

A sleipnir is more then up to the task in my experience, enough DPS to burn through rats quickly, agile enough to get between belts in good time, and fast enough to escape gatecamps and other fools after you.
