I'd be surprised if any serious play was made for Catch, which makes it all the more ironic that -A- are just making this whole thing easier by squashing any and all resistance that their allies might have put up. I can't imagine how they possibly could have played this worse.

Grath was trying to help you understand something, something you don't seem to get. I'll try to use smaller words, because I'm a bit simple as well.

The CFC will steamroll and take all this space. The only thing to prevent that (if you care) is to fight them everywhere you can, and (if you get really lucky) win a few fights. Wulfpax and bombers don't count. They can form an entire instacane fleet if they need to, and then you don't have bombers anymore. If you fight, get lucky, and win a few fights, you show that you have the spine to play in the big leagues. If you dock, and whine, and badpost, they will remember, and when this space becomes available, you won't get it.

And a brief reminder to the boo-boo CFC abloo-bloo whiners - until SoCo brought in -A- and friends, TEST and FA were not blue - and skirmished occasionally. PL was only blue for tech moons to anyone but TEST. They didn't escalate and then stand down. They responded, and now the screaming mongolian hordes are going to burn this place to the ground.

I only wish Soundwave could deploy destructible stations before the end of this war.

SoCo posters don't seem to realize the extent of GSF's loathing of AAA. AAA found a special place in our hearts by flailing uselessly at our tech over the past several months. Ironically, their challenge to the OTEC initiative helped repair relations between PL and GSF.

AAA compounded the problem by playing like chumps when their efforts against OTEC bore fruit in a serious challenge in Delve. The incompetence of AAA leadership in fleet command, diplomacy, and logistics has been on rapid-fire display of late. They are in way over their heads. Unfortunately their hubris has rebounded on their allies in Delve, who are now left holding the bag while AAA prepares to flee for the safety of NPC 0.0.

If I was a non-AAA SoCo member I'd be looking for any way out of this war right now. There's a lot of stuff left to burn and we're just getting started.

To the comments about hostiles wanting to just wait till we burn catch and then take the place back after we leave. I tend to not leave the regions I take till the hostiles quit eve or leave to empire. Camping LGK for years after winning eve in catch will suit me fine.

The key point to remember about Malaku/Progod/Guderian is that they were all in the same corp about 3-4 years ago and were Providence FCs in a little alliance called Paxton (LFA in the case of progod). They were always just terrible and risk averse; they were used to getting stomped by the old -A- on a daily basis and this created some sort of stockholm syndrome. They were not just terrible, but always made incredulous justifications and posts for their bad decisions. Even a lot of noobies in the old Providence understood them to be bad FCs, and to be avoided.

They were so bad, and funny, that I remember bringing Viper along on some random providence TS ops to listen for some schadenfreude.

It looks like they haven't improved at all. Today, they've essentially co-opted -A-'s corpse along with a lot NC/BoB dregs. Like I posted about 30 pages ago in this thread, -A- is on par today with Bruce or Mostly Harmless and it is certainly not the -A- I was a member of 5 years ago.

There is a lot you can do to a blob outside of the confines of an NPC station.

While MM's spectacular failure in Delve is a poor example, I will just say we did have some early success with slowing the inexorable tidal wave of people (and at the very least, padding our own killboards for a long time to come). Nonetheless, we didn't just stay docked but let Vlade Randal's insanity take us to interesting heights (lol LRKA) and at least shot at some people. It was a much more fun way to lose a war. I believe during Branch campaign (or Tenal) black legion caused a lot of damage and annoyance to capital fleets and subcap fleets a lot. They did so without too many losses on their end.

Sounds like a fun way to play.

Alternatively, you (soco) could also grow a pair, get some real fcs, do some fucking intel, wait for the inevitable unsupported capital fleet reinforcing some dumb structure (complacency) then drop 50 suicide dreads and pop a few capitals. In the very beginning of the Branch war (when it was actually defended), CFC was faced with a, it was said, invincible titan blob of tracking titans. Did the CFC dock up and wait for the big bad monster to go away? Nah, they took 100 fucking dreads, hit siege, and prayed for the best.

To those that refer to -a- being propped up by Stain/C0ven, that hasn't happened in a long time. They are doing their own thing in Eso and Stain.

-a- pilots are running in Nulli fleets and chilling on Nulli comms and are being led by Nulli FC's. The same with Nulli dudes running in -a- fleets led by (mostly junior) -a- FC's. PK has been around a bit late in USTZ, Maka's exploits are now famous and Mukk is nowhere to be seen. Thank god that screaming Korean kid hasn't FC'd in a while.

As to -a- leading the SoCo venture, its tough to tell because there isn't much communication from the top down. If there was more coordination and logistics, there could be more being made of this fight.

But not only wulfpax. Ok, so Drakes are a bit expensive compared to last year. But still, whelping a drake fleet (or some T1 cruiser fleet, it doesn't matter) helps your up-and-coming FCs who aren't risk averse to learn to fly and grow. And if you provide them fun, they may stay with you. If you don't they will leave you, which weakens your alliance as a whole. To do these things you don't need to fly 200m ISK T2 cruisers. You can do a lot with less, if you don't have the ISK to burn. But if you don't provide content for your members, they won't be there when you want them next time.

And on Paxton, weren't they an OK alliance in the Provibloc back then? I recall something about blackscreened fleets and repeated undocking into destruction, which doesn't sound risk-averse to me, but I am getting old, and the memory is the second thing to go...
