So we are hearing that the reason those RA titans died is because they were in a previously-compromised staging tower...that RA did not bother to change the password on. n1 n1.
SO.... is PL on contract from nulli/vera cruz???
i guess they are
It's good knowing that PL's success relies on a funny European's ability to drop a turd (<3 Hinkle). He dropped 2, we kill 2 titans.
Best comment on TS after the fight:
"How much did it cost to hire PL again?"
...
"7 dreads"
We (PL) formed up almost 90 minutes ago. RA was floating around and being careless with Supers, and we missed a Titan earlier on due to not being on a Titan. So, we waited, and waited. Sat on a Titan in KFIE for 90 minutes, whilst I alt-tabbed and played some Shogun 2 (killed 4000 dirty Imperials whilst losing 150 using honourable Archers + Samurai). The PL fleet over this time rose up to 130 or so - Herocats, 2 Macharials + Dictors/Hictors (and Tinkeng, in a Scimitar), and a handful of suicide Dreadnaughts just in case.
Meanwhile, Elise and Sort Dragon (whom has earnt :madprops: after the Dreadkills last night) seranaded the PL brethren in order to keep them interested - rather than going off to ride Battlefield 3 tricycles (we need the training wheels). A plan was formed, and it was just a matter of playing the waiting game.
Eventually, the call came. 'Ragnarok is bridging'. Friendly cyno up, friendly bridge up, bridge bridge bridge - 20 seconds or so loading. Macherials + Herocats started the overheated burn through the hostile POS towards the Ragnarok. Dictors/Hictors straight through the POS and bubbled out the other side.
In short regard, the Ragnarok was out of the shields, and the Macherials turned their attention to the Erebus that was inside the POS. The Ragnarok melted fairly quickly under the sustained fire of 120 Tempests (structure lasted 10-15 seconds), once it's shield's had depleted. Erebus next. Wirox 'I can't tell if Dreads are in siege' Crotikus and the second Mach (penifsmash!) had done an absolutely stellar job of getting the Erebus outside the shield, and then going back inside the POS for a Nyx.
Meanwhile, hostiles cynos had appeared roughly 135km from the Erebus. Brave dictor pilots warped to the cyno and bubbled the RA Supercaps and Titans as they jumped in. The Erebus was dropped slowly, 80% armor, 75%. What feels like an abosolute age passes. Hostile Supers are bubbled 120-135km away, and those that aren't are stuck in the POS. 60%, 50%, 40%, 35%. Nyx is now outside the shield, but other hostile Supercaps that were in the POS are now exiting too. The call came - 'Bump the Supercaps back in'. 30% Armor on the Erebus, 25%. Couple of Supers are now exiting the POS forcefield next to the Erebus, but the Erebus is capped out so the rep that they can provide is greatly diminished. Neuts are now spread between the Erebus, and the Nyx. 15% Armor, 10% Armor. Energy transfers from the RA Supers that are trying to crawl out the POS forcefield hit the Erebus, hardeners turn back on and he receives and he starts receiving reps from the nearby Supers . POS Password has now changed, Nyx is crawling back into the POS - Full neuts back onto the Erebus. Better to guarantee one kill than to miss two.
A call goes out for more dreads to login in KFIE, but it's looking grim. 5% Armor, into structure. 90% structure. Carriers start dropping out of warp next to the Erebus, but it's too late at this point - Erebus is in structre and absolutely melting. 40% structure. 20% structure. Erebus dies. There's now a handful of Carriers next to us, outside the POS forcefield. Hostile Titans/Supers that were 130km away aren't bubbled now, but are too far out of range to be effective. Primaries switch to the Carriers, Thanatos dies, Archon dies. Thanatos new Primary. We're not bubbled at this point, and there's a handful of support on the field. Call goes to cancel align, and switch into an orbit on our anchor whilst killing Carriers. Two more carriers die. Align up, as bubbles start getting dropped on us. More support are arriving, but we have a perch above the POS.
70-75% of the fleet initate warp as the last Carrier dies, the remaining 20-30 Tempests, well and truly bubbled (and completely out of cap/charges), turns their focus on killing as much as possible before fulfilling the second of their two purposes in life. Dying gloriously.

I hate you all.![]()

Man, that was a good BR. Many thanks.
Well, proteus fleets first use was a resounding success.
And I got negrepped for saying ravens were just as good if not better than tempests the day before yesterday!
I missed this due to dinner sigh

looks like it was supported by a good sized alpha fleet.
At least RA pilots fit the correct damage mods.

What is this elite-looking Nulli Proteus fleet? Are they just mega-buffered AHAC's?
so this is why PL killed the titans.... to find out what damage mod goes with what gun?????
it all makes sense now
So, one of the two RA fc's was named Fuuufa. When PL bridged into NOL, this is what he said:
[17:23:52] EVE System > Channel changed to Local : NOL-M9
[17:24:44] FUUUFA > u droped into the wring system
[17:24:47] FUUUFA > fyi =POH REALLY HAHAHAHHA

Basically. S2N is too fleet-concept-hipster to just go for Tengus like everybody else, but it felt smalltime without a t3 fleet to call its own...and thus ProFleet was born. Next I'm sure Progod will try to reinvent the wheel and make an alpha fleet that doesn't involve Maelstroms, because that shit is just too mainstream.
my favorite comment on eve-kill:

Tempests, the new welp cane
With the amount Nulli is smugging you would think they killed the titans and not us.![]()
R.I.P Vile Rat
So, 2 titans died, using a combination battleships and a small handfull of dreads, while surrounded by their own super fleet AND carrier reps, strictly through field management.
Did I get all that right?
I thought that was supposed to be impossible to achieve in the current game environment. Somebody hide this before the CFC sees it.
Dear sir I do believe Grath was referring to the fact that dreads and properly fit subcaps, even in our meager numbers, work very well in killing supercapital-class starships once they are separated a little bit from the rest of the their fleet. I retract my insulting usage of the phrase "dick cream" while referring to you and hope we can move forward amicably.

Hi kugu just stopped by too![]()
So I have some bad news. I recently got a new keyboard and it owns so hard. An unfortunate byproduct is that it makes me want to post wildly and at length, somehow more so than usual. I first wrote the BR with A Song of Fire and Ice in mind, but apparently it gave away too many spoilers (Sort was Daenerys, I'll post it later in the new gay section of the forums with spoiler tags). Then I did it in the style of the Hunger Games trilogy, but it was too gay even by my loose standards. So I had to stick with what I know.
Fighting in Delve
April 2012 - Delve on Fire
I kept the gay title, though
After months of fighting between XIX and -A-/Solar, RA accepted a deal from -A- that saw them capitulate and move into Delve and Querious. Nulli, -A- allies, were not happy to have a force they spent months fighting planted in their backyard. After terse diplomatic relations, the two entities decided to go to war over the fate of Delve.
Early fighting saw mixed results, with both Nulli and RA welping fleets to one another. The stalemate appeared to break early in the week with Nulli making a risky, though solid, push on RA's home system of NOL. Pushed against a wall, RA did what they did best and secured the system through an impressive show of force.
Cue The Legion
Much to the dismay of the Delve locals, PL decided to enter the fray with a limited force as a true third party. No supers, few ships, and no favored party. At first, Nulli was adamant that RA had hired The Legion to save another region for them. As a result, Nulli ceased their push onto RA assets. Both sides began courting The Legion, promising everything from capital kills to good fights, but the pleas fell upon deaf ears.
Refusing to succumb to caution, RA were quick to act and, sensing Nulli's hesitation, went to work to rid their space of Nulli SBUs in EU prime. The RA fleet, comprised of 150 subcaps and 20 Supers, began tearing through SBUs at an alarming rate. Expecting a counter from Nulli, PL formed and waited patiently for a fight to start. Nulli had 230 in their so-called "Panic Geddon" fleet, which proved to be aptly named as they seemed to freeze at the sight of 20 RA SCs. The onus was on PL, then, to get things done. With 45 Herocats, PL attempted what the Eve rhetoric has deemed impossible - to kill some Supers with only subcaps. As the twenty RA Supers cyno'd back to the safety of their home system, The Legion struck.
After months of being told that what they were attempting was impossible, The Legion rose to the challenge, kicked off the rust, and fired on all cylinders; the 130-man support fleet was dragged on their frantic route back, Carriers that came to aid the Supers were neuted dry, and the remaining SCs were bumped out of rep range or into their POS. A short five minutes later, the 45-man Herocat fleet had drawn first blood: an RA Nyx. The Nulli fleet was left sitting on their Titan, awestruck. The PL War Machine was back.
The next day saw limited fighting, with RA bouncing back in style and refusing to take a beating. Systems were secured, IHUBs were re-planted, and the territorial slate was once again clean. That is, with the exception of HM-. Nulli made an exerted effort to capture the system and, satisfied that PL was in nobody’s pocket, dropped their full force on the IHUB. RA were taken aback by the counter-punch and jumped into system just as the IHUB died. Perhaps unwilling to risk a loss, or simply sending a message to RA, Nulli opted to take the strategic objective and run from the fight. The message was received, and on the next timer RA formed hours early, eliciting an early form-up from Nulli in the process.
After the strategic victory, Nulli took a meager fleet out to grind some POSes with Dread support. As the Nulli fleet undocked, The Legion salivated: Nagas and Dreads. PL would not deny the fleet its proper reward and the ill-fated combination was summarily dispatched with limited losses.
With both parties getting punished for their sloppiness, it was clear that PL was a true neutral party. Since Nulli had made their intentions clear for HM - take the station at all costs- RA formed in a major way, with both subcapitals and Supers/Titans in position. While Nulli had a significant 400 to 250 numerical advantage, RA had hoped that their Titans and Supers, and maybe just the wildcard PL, would be able to bridge the gap. Their valiant approach was ruined by a small miscalculation, however - their bridging Titans, along with six other SCs, were being housed in a passworded POS. As the first RA Titan bridged the RA fleet into the quagmire next door, PL bridged in intending on reprising their role as Supercap slayers. First a Ragnarok, then an Erebus, then three Nyxes and two Aeons, were bumped out and at the whim of the PL War Machine.
RA was now caught between a rock and a hard place: two Titans and five SCs were tackled in NOL, 380 subcaps were wailing on the now SC/Titan-free subcap fleet, and the system was vulnerable. In a shocking display of guts, RA promptly double-down'd with everything to save their Supers in NOL. A third of the support fleet was left to die in HM- while the Supers and Titans that were ready in HM- came back to NOL. Thanks to expert bubbles and an escalation of their own with a handful of suicide Dreads, PL were able to buy themselves enough time to take a Ragnarok and Erebus down before the larger RA fleet was able to dismantle the PL Herocats. Leaving nothing to chance, Nulli stayed in HM- and kept on the strategic objective. While RA lost the system, two Titans, and a third of their support fleet, they earned ample respect and managed to save the rest of their Supers through sheer force of will. While RA will likely lose whatever Nulli want to take, since they are very clearly outmatched, today is proof that RA will continue to fight tooth and nail for everything.
True, I have raped history, but it has produced some beautiful offspring
