I suppose it does work, and it's exactly the kind of stunt that a sad little bitch who's entitled enough to think that cheating makes him L33t would pull. I just wonder at the thought process that leads to thinking something so mind-bogglingly petty and dishonest is a correct response to being called out for cheating in a damb game.
Luckily, these guys pretty much all paid by PLEX, so even this petty bit of spite will be denied to them. All that's left is crying that being punished makes them the victim, to the huge amusement of the rest of us. On a side note I hear that CCP themselves get pretty vindictive if you dispute the CC charge against them, and they'll nuke any other accounts they can link to you as well.
I took a wallet hit back in 2004 not long after I first started playing.
There was no plex system back then and I needed a freighter in a hurry.
I have a well paid job and not a great deal of spare play time (no excuse I know) I brought some isk online 1bil. I brought the freighter, a day or two latter I logged into find my wallet was neg 900 mill.
I got no mail, no warning or any other form of punishment from CCP but I got the message and never reapeted my foolish act.
I did sweat for the next few weeks about getting a ban but I never heard anything from CCP and I was far too sheepish to contact them.

I've been asked a lot of questions about how to avoid running into trouble here and there's a very clear and surefire way to do so. Don't do business with people you know to be involved in RMT. Don't buy accounts, items, PLEX or ISK illegally. THERE YOU HAVE IT! The ONLY legal seller of PLEX is CCP. Anything else can be taken from you when you are caught and the likelihood of that happening is increasing significantly. Have a fat pile of cash and want to convert it to ISK? Buy PLEX! We fully recognize that the only way to provide a level playing field for our customers is to end the problem and that's the direction we're headed.
I'd like to add that in addition to large sums of ISK removed from RMT-related actions we're expecting to see an average of 100B ISK a day removed from botting accounts. Neither RMT nor bot-related activity have any place in New Eden any longer and the security team is willing to play chicken as long as it takes to get that message across. I'd also like to note that while I haven't spent much time talking about it the PLEX for Snitches program, it is still in full effect and a number of people who have provided us with actionable security-related information have profited quite nicely from their contributions to the greater EVE community!
So, the tl;dr of this is:
- We're going to take all your stuff if you cheat
- Buy PLEX, don't be a space butt
- We're keeping an eye on all sorts of fun places to pull numbers and graphs from and we'll provide them in a separate blog
- We love you if you don't cheat

Update: Since this blog was written this afternoon we've taken out another 365 account bot/rmt ring. No estimate of assets yet.
If you loaned money to someone who RMTs and got it back, then CCP "reversed" that last charge to your account.
If you guys cared so much, then you should have invested the time and energy into planting your own agents as ccp devs.

It's so hard right now to figure out who's being truthful. With all this going on, and so many stories being told, differentiating fact from fiction is becoming difficult. From PL's "15 Trillion ISK" to your buddy who is down a billion for "Borrowing Money", it's hard to tell what to believe. At this point I can just look at my positive wallet and smile, thank god I'm legit.

The overlap between serious botters and RMTers is probably close to 100%. BUT, more importantly, they're not going to differentiate on the isk / parties affected. So anyone (individual or alliance) received bot-created isk is going to be taken to the own-zone by this.
How many Titans were actually bought legitimately, from grinding out 80 bill??? Guess we'll find out. Death to all Supers.
