This is my first OP since becoming a member of Kugu. I thought I would attempt to create a thread that would be worth your time, readers. NEM3SIS wasn’t an alliance of merit and in this fact lies the truth that some of you may discard this thread as wasteful. For that I do apologize for any perceived shitpoasting, for those that enjoy a little scandal and some light weekend reading, please enjoy. As always, I will provide a TL;DR below. Thanks.
TL;DR – birdythebest was accused of robbing NEM3SIS alliance during the failcascade in Delve, however the truth is, it wasn’t him. The true culprit made out with 58 billion in isk alone and was viewed as an innocent victim of his greedy directors…
NEM3SIS(dot) was a slightly unknown alliance that took slight prominence in the south after quickly jumping to claim Freeport Delve after Goonswarm Federation redirected north. They were allowed the space by Cascade Imminent and took over three constellations in north Delve. After Red Alliance was given the space, it was believed that NEM3 would stay and fight. That was until a deal was brokered to sale the systems to Red Alliance and evacuate. As the alliance fell and many corporations were breaking off, birdythebest apparently took the assets and wallet of NEM3 and ran to reform Ardent Industrial. Hakawau staged a coup and took friendly corps to merge with Divinity(dot) and Pax Romana remnants to form Persona Non Gratis. Edenfalls/Lord Britalious, NEM3 Alliance CEO, basically said (real life) took precedence and went AFK. This is the story many of you have heard, but I am about to tell you what really happened…
This began quite a bit before NEM3 was formed. Apex Ardent Coalition was in its infancy and a council of leadership was formed by the leaders of the three merging corporations: ARDIN / APEX / IRON. Edenfalls recommended that he could act as comptroller of the new corporation’s assets and since the leaders trusted him, they agreed to the request. This serves as a precursor to later events.
Jumping now a little further into the future, NEM3 now exists and a 5 seat director council now exists to lead the fledgling alliance. NEM3 began working with Cascade Imminent, who requested that NEM3 select one person to represent the alliance in matters of leadership diplomacy. Edenfalls, being more active now, volunteered and a working relationship with FAIL was formed.
The goons left Delve, and Cascade and NEM3 agreed to take Freeport Delve. NEM3 leadership later decided to take advantage of the situation with the Southern Coalition and FAIL’s commitments, and take all three constellations to include space out to NOL after EVOKE/EWOKS went north. Cascade is furious and order NEM3 to turn over their assets in Querious, which Eden agrees to, preventing an immediate reset by FAIL. NEM3 works to establish the North Delve Coalition of small alliances to create a small Provi-like atmosphere, save the NRDS policy.
As the days progressed, Lord Britalious/Edenfalls became less active, claiming that real life work was impeding his gametime. Then we fast forward to when AAA brokered a deal to give Querious and parts of Delve, to include NEM3 space, to Red Alliance. NEM3 didn’t agree to the deal from the start, Eden being a major proponent in suggesting we stay and fight. Many of the corporations agreed and the chest beating emails ensued. Shortly thereafter, Eden and NEM3 leadership were offered a deal for NEM3 space priced per system. Lord Britalious pulled all of the director roles in the holding corp (security precaution was his claim) and agreed to the deal. He ordered birdythebest to send an email to the alliance about a move to the dronelands, in which birdy reluctantly agreed to after conversation.
After this took place, many corporations were leaking out of the alliance and Eden, who still had control of AAC, removed birdy from the CEO position and cleaned out the AAC assets and wallet. He already had full control of the holding corp and kicked all of our director alts, cleaning this wallet aswell. He assured the remaining members at the time, that the money would go towards the “new alliance”. Afterward, some of the AAC and GSY members saw what was going on, birdythebest got out of dodge and was pinned as the AAC and NEM3 thief. Below is a chatlog some correspondence from Edenfalls/Lord Britalious to birdythebest, Josiah Bleak (of GSY) and myself:

To: birdythebest,
Hello Birdy, I’m contacting you to apologize for your character becoming caught as part of the collateral damage. I had every intention to keep you; you were becoming more and more useful as an asset to me. However, your secret meetings with b33r, Tynian and friends were becoming a slight inconvenience to the exit strategy I had installed. I couldn’t allow for loose ends.
Preferring to avoid being portrayed as the bad guy, I thought it would be best to have you enact this role for me. Conveniently this was also an interesting solution to provide a sufficient diversion to occupy the attention of the masses, thusly allowing me to walk away with 58 billion isk whilst pinning the blame on you.
“On this news birdythebest stole assets from AAC (Apex Ardent Coalition), just like he did from Hydra. as the following mail confirms that they are dead.” – Quote from evenews24
Interestingly, in this script I’m now filling the role as the good guy and you’re the greedy villain who steels stuff from corpies. How nice. This would have been avoided of course if you were more cooperative with my original instructions. Oh well I guess, shit happens.
Anyway Mr Birdy, it has been an interesting year spent with you, I hope you and I can put this previous event behind us, as this chapter in the game for me is now officially closed. I want to thank you for your hard work in Nem3sis and congratulate you for reopening your old corporation Ardent Industrial. I hope all the best for you and Ardent members. So long Mr Birdy, and thanks for all the fish.
Regards
/Edenfalls
--------------------------------So in closing, I wished to clear the air, and provide the truth about the events behind the NEM3 saleout, the accusations that my friend, birdythebest, was a thief, and the truth about Edenfalls/Lord Britalious. In the sandbox, just another alliance CEO who robbed his alliance blind, and got away with it. Guess it is a job well done. He will have since changed characters and is enjoying his 58+ Billion, but this provides a hopefully enjoyable story in the end of scandal, betrayal, theft, and defeat.--------------------------------

Hello Proc,
"JK has the reigns and is doing a great job running the corp" ...., I guess it will be just like last time when he 'had the reigns' - of course doing all of this whilst receiving instructions on what he should do from a man on a boat somewhere in the Pacific ocean, or descriptively what I would call, an independent thought process.
Anyway, your Eve 24 news article wasn’t the smoking gun, so I wouldn’t worry so much on that. However this did prove to be a convenient catalyst to initiate a series of what I will describe as interesting events. I don’t deny I was very much pleased with the end product. In fact, it aligned perfectly with what was required. So don’t worry, as a great man once said "features working as intended."
I do wish all the best for you and your corp. But, unfortunately yet so obviously I won’t be joining the novel ambition for a ‘new’ alliance, despite my encouragement to create one. Reasons for this I will not say (excluding the obvious), departing, what I will say is this; so long, and thanks for all the fish.
-Regards
Edenfalls…!? ^^

Thanks, Kugu.
