The people I know that had bot accounts temp banned just started botting again right away after the bans expired. I wonder how many of these events need to happen before people accept the new risk vs. reward paradigm.

That's why you transfer the character to a new account and they can't do shit. I've stolen 3 chars from people this way. Their fault for trying to sell it on ebay...

I want to clear one misconception that is causing confusion. The 15 trillion number is neither one character, nor is it a single negative wallet. It is an API calculated change in personal wallet amounts over one week for ALL PL characters within the API system (~1400).

There are 58 characters with negative wallets, but obviously more had their (positive) wallets modified. In terms of pure ISK amount, snigg has been hit hardest and one of Shamis' reimbursement characters has the most negative wallet in the neighborhood of ~30B. Obviously, everyone is petitioning because this is some sort of mistake by CCP confusing PvP reimbursement and contract payments, over the months, to RMT.

Only ISK taken from positive wallets remove ISK from the game, it's not that hard.

It depends: if the guy puts the account back into positive that isk is gone from the system too, if he doesn't then only the isk he had is gone.

Unless they're trying to claim PL members are involved in a giant RMT scheme, are they too stupid to see that the money is being transferred within the same alliance? Or did they just be lazy and run a script on Shamis' wallet to reverse everything?

By the looks of it CCP is using the shoot now ask later approach by banning chars and removing isk that look like RMT like in Shamis reimbursement char.
Not entirely unexpected when Darius JOHNSON is involved to do something lazy and 1/2 assed.

Haha, I have a freind who has been permabanned for the past month due to something similar, CCP has not answered a single petition or email regarding the issue.

I would like to think CCP will take the information from this round of action and make improvements to their process so they avoid false positives with characters that perform alliance reimbursements.

This. It's well known that some people PL have worked for recently bot/RMT. You can't say PL didn't know, and this is the price. Perhaps they will think twice before defending crumbling bot empires next time. What I'd really like to know is how NCDOT have been affected by this.
