Lets face it you know nothing about what we did and the ships you used to do it. Our original "thing" was nerfed just over a year after the game went live. Since then we have had dozen or so different fleet comps nerfed to the point of useless, with the goal of making each more specific setup exponentially more expensive than the last.

Oh and pro tip, we were in NC. long before unprobability nerf.

The problem with what we consider small gang warfare and what everyone else does is 2 different things. We consider a small gang 10 or less and we are not interested in fighting scrubs in empire like some. Ganking can be done with any group the point of ganks is to get blobs to form and come after you so you can engage them with skill and coordination. All of that is hard to do when all the enemy blob can right click and warp to you in 6 seconds.

I never mentioned empire warfare or ganking scrubs. But while it can be difficult to fight the blob if the blob is able to shoot back, it's not impossible. Risky, certainly, but then that's what makes it exciting.

And you can still engage blobs with skill and coordination. To take a good example, Garmon does it all the time with fleets smaller than 10 duders, and he does it really well. You just need to accept that you'll die once in a while, and accept that. It just takes a bit more coordination and skill than warping in at 200k and blapping fragile ships and people caught off the main group without them being able to warp to you.

BE were much better corp before they joined Ncdot. Really respected their style of pvp. Their bot empire in stain meant they could always afford nice gang comps. NCdot BE well they can F1 and join fleets i guess.

Honestly, I haven't seen BE do anything original in years. You may have been good once, before my time, but for as long as I've played BE has been a one trick pony with cowardly unprobable battleships. And as far as I can tell, once that crutch was taken from you, you became the same as every other old barely active corporation. When was the last time your corp did something on it's own, without NCdot?

Small gangs can still fight blobs and win, just because you're not up to it anymore doesn't mean it's not possible. It's harder perhaps, the game is more balanced now than it used to be, but other corporations still manage to do it.

BE were always very good at unprobable sniper ships, and people would rage and rage and rage on forums about them camping JBs and then dismantling the fleets that came to deal with their gangs (which I always found hilarious and I still respect them for), but crowing about killing haulers, unprepared travellers, and raggedy home defence fleets - especially in the era before fleet doctrines were quite as pervasive as they are now - when game mechanics meant that you couldn't actually get hit as long as you weren't totally retarded with warp-ins strikes me as being hollow

Not sure where I stand on the "cowardly" argument, as I'd call it a smart use of game mechanics, but ~elite PvP~ it ain't. For "elite PvP" John rightly points to Garmon and his ilk - tiny gangs outmanoeuvring large groups, much of the time up close and personal while they do it. That's skillfully grasping how to play the game, Burn Eden were skilfully gaming the plays of large alliances by getting under their skin and causing havoc, before slipping away

Still, both BE and Garmon are better than I ever was

That been said I still remember BE damp navy ravens, and the unprobable nightmare(which most rememeber), and it was awesome, but I dont get why you claim its impossible to do anymore. All you need is screening with defensive bubbles. stay aligned or you can make yourself god damn hard to probe(unprobable without virtue set) with both nightmares and tornadoes(which pl is been doing laterly with random cfc members riding along).
