The only reason we had to mob up is Vinata's reluctance to even discuss why he made the choices he did and why these choices created a system of tiered groups (those he finds palatable and the dirtbag ones). As posters with no actual power we had to use the one thing we could: Our textual voices. Sure it was a bit mob-like but it's not like we had a forum for grievances. Vinata said like it or lump it and the response was "well fuck you, too".

You could try Eve-O. I hear their mods don't allow any hate speech, lock everything that offends (them) and provide free foam vests to keep you safe from :words:

For the sake of thruthiness I would like to point out that I was using the term mob sarcastically as a poke at other mods. I'll try taking my mind off the beaches for a moment and try to seriously argue this thing sinve people seem so bothered over it. The first time I got involved to the discussion I actually said I found the rule pointless since using racist remarks in a serious discussion which is in the subforums this rule applies would most definitely be criticised and handled by the community and I couldn't see a reason for an extra rule. On the other hand, this rule's actual effect is so minimal, since it applies only outside of eve forums that I just can't see what all the fuzz is about. And because of that it does have some grounds of validity agree to it or not.

Above all though, it's really stupid for mods to throw an admin under the bus just because they don't agree with him and open a discussion that wasn't made openly. We can't be guessing when you will be annoyed with something else that you find it's the coming apocalypse and the abolition of our great values and heritage, rules are rules.

As i said on twitter last night I've now had six different mods convo me, PM me or pass me messages through others expressing the opinions I stated in that post. My opinions are as informed as it is possible to be when Vinata stated a bullshit rule by act of fiat, explicitly said that he was not prepared to discuss it, and disappeared again as soon as it transpired that the members of the forum that he thinks he owns detest his personal agenda.

Actually it seems a couple of the mods who contacted me have got down on their knees to suck Vinata's cock so I suspect that this shitty rule is going to stick on the ludicrous grounds that mods of a forum can't be seen to "back down" the opinions of the members of that forum. This opinion that kugu should be a war between the posters and the mods is exactly what Vinata has brought about and I have no doubt that he will celebrate the departure of all us unruly, nasty brutes with our politically incorrect use of insults and unpleasant senses of humour.
