XIX did something new and different and went in early (I seem to remember this being a major complaint from PL about them and Red Alliance during the XIX/Solar war). Apparently they thought the pos was about to die, and would go down if they didn't do anything. So they brought in close range ab t3 BC's. Against Abaddons. It went really well.
I was kind of hoping BL Abaddons vs CFC/PL Drakes would go a bit like the PL vs AAA fights from a while ago and we (Razor) could brawl it out with a roughly evenly sized BL fleet, but that wasn't in the cards.
Was a fun fight.I was a bit suprised to see Umad and monkey circus there but hey at least we can count on BL and friends for some pew....GF's.It was completely worth the ship loss and blood clone
The T3 BCs weren't what really brought the ruckus; those died before I could get a lock half the time. We were surprised because we landed on top of them on our first ping and thought this was a tactical advantage, but then when they stayed at <20km we held. Things went tits-up when our Triage carrier died and the Drakes arrived. I got podded before the Abaddons arrived, suffice to say it was a good fight with a ton of kills on both sides.
E: Props to Monkey Circus for showing up, though for some reason half of them were in Dominix![]()

Recently, B*Legion has been on a bit of a break. Hardcore nerd warriors are doing AT Tourny practices left right and centre. Less hardcore nerd warriors were defending their title of Beer Baseball champions. American nerds were blowing shit up in remembrance for some rebellion against their rightful British lords. Our brave enlightened despot, Elo, was out trapping for his dinner and decided to use maple syrup to write on birch bark a state of the B*legion. Our goals for the future were simple, stay out of the boring giant tidi fights of Delve and instead spend time picking on any CFC entities who weren't down south. Our target of interest: former DRF hegemon XXDeath.
So we headed out and reinforced a few of their towers to see if we could get a decent fight. The first one came out in RUS prime; however, they only jumped into bombers. We managed to DD a thanny that tried to rep the tower.
http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=13959681
Later, we nuked their tower with a couple dreads and sat on their station undock. They managed to catch a few of our dictors/one abaddon who wasn't aligned but it was gayer than aids for both sides.
Today, a large Angel tower came out in their home system of 6NJ. We watched them form up fairly early in a bunch of tornados and were a bit surpised by it. We waited a bit past the tower timer to see if they would try and rep their tower again. Initially, they brought out about 40-50 bombers and cloaked up in the system. We logged in our bridging titan and undocked an Ahac fleet because we'd seen them in Maels earlier. We bridged onto their home staging station in 6NJ. They tried a bombing run on our ahacs but were quickly dispatched with. At about this time, a wild Out of Sight. ahac gang appeared next door in BV-. We hadn't planned on this but our stalwart shepard told us not to worry, we could handle them too.
As the ahacs landed on us, XXDeath undocked Tornados. We quickly took a bunch of them down as they burned out to range from the undock. As they got out of scorch fisting range we moved over to the ahacs and started chewing on them. We tanked the tornados as we went after the ahacs. After moping up the ahacs, we got a warp in on the tornados and got through a bunch of them before they took off. While the fight was going on, we also were taking bomb hits from a separate xxDeath bomber fleet. With their Ahac fleet decimated, Out of Sight. retreated and left the system. The XXDeath Tornado gang reshipped back to bombers and tried another bombing run to no avail. We warped off the station and I guess XXDeath thought we were leaving so they reshipped to dramiels and rifters to try and catch stragglers.
So, we cyno'd in 8 dreads to their faction tower. XXDeath were in bombers so we couldn't keep support on the tower and we moved off to a safe. XXDeath reshipped yet again to Tornados and undocked roughly 50 tier3 battlecruisers plus support. We got our dreads off the tower except one hero got stuck on the tower and couldn't get his dread off. So, being the spartans that we are, we told him to siege again and try to finish off the tower. The bombers did another run which forced our ahacs off the field because they used void bombs as well as damage one. The Tornado gang moved in and went after our lonely rev who at this point couldn't hold his tank against the tower and the tier3 bcs. We got a nice warp in and killed a few more but it was too late to save our hero rev.
Now, most people would have said, ok that's it, its been about 2hrs of fighting lets call it a day. But the King in the North's thirst cannot be quenched. We logged in supers and a titan to blap the tower. We jumped in and for awhile it looked like we could keep dictors off us and take down the tower. However, on bringing in the supers, XXDeath went into overdrive and started bringing more and more dictors. We counted 12 at the high point and were having trouble keeping them off. Our titan polished off the tower just as all our supers got bubbled badly.
As bubbles dropped on the titan, supers/titan were told to jump out but two of our supers got caught. A nyx and an aeon were in stuck in a bubble. Smartbombs went off and the call was made for all support to warp in and save the tackled supers. Zealots started getting smashed hard. They couldn't tank the immense alpha of so many tornados. We got the nyx out but the aeon was stuck in 6 bubbles. Little blimps of cyno light were appearing on the map from Delve all the way up to Aunenen. We knew all of CFC had been pinged and it looked like we were about to lose a super. 5 of the 6 bubbles went down but 1 bubble was 17km from the aeon. As the last one took a life time to go down, an onyx landed 3000m from the aeon. Jump, jump, jump. Wolololo. Aeon out.
Great fight, RUS RUS are still strong and my old aeon is still alive. :3

You know you have joined the CFC when you can't keep supers tackled.
Well except if you have a Gyrobus or your King of the North.![]()
they're slippery little bastards are supercapitals.
You lose whatever ability you once had to tackle a super the moment you become part of the CFC.
[05:28:32] Damienwhat Solette > friend said, if only they didn't have those 2 falcons there, i said they have 3, and he said that just says they don't want to do anything fair, just want to be dicks about it like not normal dicks but big black huge cocks

IRC tackled this super and batphoned everyone. Asshole self-destructed in 40% armor but somehow a partial killmail still got generated.

LOL HOLDING OUT ON LOSING YOUR VIRGINITY SEEMS STUPID NOW EH?
GF boat, that was fun lets do it again sometime.
Such a warm reception for our merry joint band of hobos. I guess we should feel flattered?(3:27:01 AM) directorbot@goonfleet.com/directorbot: Gentlemen, the battles of the South have followed us to the North. Unlike -A-, our enemies up here are competent; our fleet tonight, overconfident after weeks of slaughtering -A- with impunity, got thrashed, humiliated, and had tracking dreads dropped on it. The butcher's bill is here: http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_related&kll_id=14086995
We are leaving this South this weekend and moving immediately into a war; we may not choose it, but it is choosing us. You need to have all of your assets out of F20Y and hop on one of the convoys back to VFK ASAP.

That aside, "Involuntary Sub-Saharan Crowdsourcing" is a pretty awesome corp name, and the gentleman who came up with it should feel good about himself.

I'll let someone else post the AAR from our side (as it was an AIF tech moon) - but from all reports good fight S2N/BL. We'll be seeing you again real soon I'm sure.
The only thing worse than a sore loser is a guy who's getting what he wants and is still buttmad about it, Afr1can. GF nulli and BL.
Choice moment from the op - DBRB "Guys they have 50 zealots we handle them no sweat load explosive wtf how many nulli?!"
fake edit: Someone ought to tell boat the zealot 'explosive hole' is actually 80% base resist, but ahh well. Enjoy trying to hold the moon!
Grunt level BR:
Form up was originally slated for 0630. Fleet went up for an 0700 alphafleet (this was the actual name). BL reports of a 240 man fleet were wildly exaggerated, as at that moment fleet was about 20. Fleet comms were home to such comments as 'is this a drake fleet or alpha fleet?' and 'should i bring a drake or maelstrom' (the fleet was actually called Alpha Fleet). Occasionally it differed to 'I can't afford any of these ships, can i bring a rifter?"
Form up time came and went and we had 90 in fleet with reports of a 70 man BL AHAC gang, so we knew we were going to get a tough fight. We reshipped to drakes, changed hardners for laz0rz, loaded explosive ammo (?) and hustled. By the time we derped our way over to 1 jump out (goddamn it someone bring me 300 ozone grab it from that can when you bridge and bring it to me, why didn't you bring it to me??), fleet had swollen to about 180, and eventually people got to the right system and got to the fleet.
Jump in, hold cloaks for like what seemed for ever, and then MWD on. Scimis did their best, carriers jumped in, and we tried to get distance but our anchor got either webbed to shit or stopped moving for a couple minutes. Some zealots were dying, some lokis died, most held their reps. When it became clear we were going to have trouble getting out of this one, target calling switched over to dics and hics, to try and get the carriers out. DBRB went down and had to call targets from a pod as secondary FC wan't sorted. Many carriers bought the farm, may their brave souls somehow be carried with us into future battles, or perhaps they can clone jump back.
Tower was nearly saved (47% repped) but drake fleet and surviving caps scattered. Apparently XIX bridged in a bit later but I was dead by that point.
tl;dr, CFC thought they could helicopter dick BL faggots, instead got dumpstered by an equal force of BL+ Nulli in better ships. GFGF.
http://dog-net.org/brdoc/?brid=9516
PS: Does this mean now that NCDot will help its fellow otec members retake the tower from BL and Nulli? Have these two shat on the couch and broken OTEC?
Been in many fights, lost and won, trying to catch a super or other, that's not the issue.
Escalating and calling a few not a problem, maybe a few dreads, a nice 3 way, but when cfc gets kicked in the teeth, the inevitable will happen and those tech defences fleets cta's will have 500+ duders waiting the shout to hit jump to tech tower.
BL have fought, countless times, way out numbered and solo v CFC remnants, who stayed up North. Got to love them guys how they roll.
Look forward to the up coming timers and BR's to be proved wrong.
OK so
We formed up waiting for our illustrious never wakes up for ops leader progodlegend to grace us with his presence and lead this op. He didnt show up and slept through it in the end, so I took the op over with Admiral Canaris Roshaak Commanding our Tracking Dread Armada. We moved late to system, got there just before tower got out, and camped DBRB's ingate. Eventually boat decided to jump his fleet in, and started following him around in zealots as he failed to pull his fleet any further than 30 from us somehow(really, how did this happen?). A cyno opens and 9ish CFC carriers jump in, at this point we're waiting to see if they triage or not, and continue to own drakes while our reps hold. The carriers never enter triage so I open our cyno and We drop our load of tracking dreads, All of the carriers on gate died within the first seige cycle, and then we started removing drakes at a highly accelerated rate. We eventually cleared the field having lost from our(the s2n) fleet a Rook, a dictor, and a zealot.
We landed on the tower with it at 47% shield and 6 or so carriers well outside shields repping it, we killed 4 of the carriers and managed to stop the pos from becoming strontable again. Tower died, we went home. +1 tech blah blah hurf blurf. Good fight, I had a ball.
From the repping end, it was fairly quiet - we jumped in about the time DBRB did? Anyway, proceeded to triage and rep the tower, then noticed a gem from Galtiner:
Galtiner > Boat just bailed
At this point we knew we were pretty well fucked anyway, but proceeded to keep repping the tower. We started motoring towards the shields as the first ball of AHACs dropped on us - a bit of spider/triage tanking began at this point, holding out fairly well to begin with, but the damage piled up as carriers started dropping. Tower was at about 44% and we got to 47% before the second ball dropped on us - at which point we were completely screwed. There's really not much more to say ~10 carriers vs 130+ subcaps is a short story. The armour carriers mostly made it inside the pos shield. I guess maybe we could have just gone balls deep and held triage and potentially gotten the tower repped, but it would have been close. Alternately one more carrier could have done the job (or maybe I could have popped mindflood and 4x repped the tower but v0v) - Boat had some carriers in his fleet with the idea of dropping them as triage vs the ahac gang, but then nulli dropped ~10 tracking dreads on the carriers and that was that. Those carrier pilots reported lasting a good 30 seconds, which is probably 25 seconds more than most drakes would have lasted, so it probably worked out ok in the end.
Still, well played BL + S2N + others. -2.5b isn't the worst day some people in EVE have had, but it's certainly the worst for me (especially once I realised I had a basi in my SMA). There's a beer calling my name,

Dreads were two cycling drakes once they wiped the carriers off field, it was pretty amazing how fast they were killing. I definitely can see why PL like escalating so much now.
ahahahaha fucking boat is so fucking bad

i too drop dreads like im a huge bosstier nigga knowing that all goon supers aint here
embarrassing nulli back to back so quickly shit even ill login for some of that![]()
I also like the usage of explosive ammo against amarr t2. In case you're as uneducated as boat about t2 resists, Explosive is amarr t2's highest natural resist.
if this is how nulli posts here when 80% of the cfc hasnt even left delve yet its gonna be good
I hope this isnt some evil amazing plan by elo knight where hes hiding his 500 other dudes baiting a trap
because the blobbing tears are going to be amazing

Does this mean they will be smug legion again rather than bitter sulking legion ?
I do believe there was a very large smattering of carrier wrecks there opti bro. As faith-full and ever willing member of the otec block, (nc.), i was going to form to help the brave cfc, undergunned, out manned space warriors, but i decided to wax my cat's balls instead, as that seemed to me a lot more important at the time. However, if you ring me opti, on the following number 1900 whogivesafuck, ill be sure to round up all the valiant nc. aussie time zone guys and we will rush to your rescue, unless my cat grows hair on its balls again.
The best part about this conflict is that we've now once again got a good, content filled thread that pertains to the CFC/North in which we can all resume and uphold our excellent posting traditions.
I thought this thread was dead.
