Eve Keynote TL : DR
CCP Unifex - Competent PROFESSIONAL. I got the feel this guy is the man that made the blueprint that transformed CCP from a ADHD office pool of malcontents to a finely tuned society of worker bees.
CCP Veritas - Literally the coolest CCP Dev I'd let him fuck my sister. ( he straight owns the shit out of lag ) Also starting work on CCP server multi-threading "turbo-nerds rejoice"
Other shit
Tech Nerf - Planetary ring mining ( I expect moons will randomly deplete/spawn different goo) Basically huge passive isk generation nerf / stealth buff to "power to the people" / buff to roaming and defense fleet.
POS re-design - Think modular design basically like a I-hub reskinned with all kind of modular configuration's from known pos function research / production/ defense / moon mining too mini-stations captains quarters. Wormholers literally fapping non-stop.
Missle Launchers - Like turrets exposed visual and fucking badass . tl ; dr tengu fleets are go!
New ships modules - T3 destroyers fap fap fap. Orbital bombardment mod AWW YEA "I AM DEATH'S SMILING FACE". Salvager drones "Much rejoicing of Jews"
War-Dec rework - Closing dec shield loopholes etc. Not a ton of specific details except Eve Ui supported merc contracts "Maybe you can hire the A-team"
Web based and API stuff - idgi not enough image macros for me to understand but basically we will end up being able to change skills via Eve-Mon FUCK YEA!
basically alot of practical stuff explained. I expect all the glitz and glam in CCP Presents tommorow. "Hoping to be dazzled"!
Salvaging drones have me pissed off. Farewell to ninja salvaging, farewell to helping newbies by having them clean the field after you, farewell to the noctis being remotely used... basically, salvaging was losing profitability before, now it's pretty much dead.
Unless they are like... super nerfed salvagers, they screw up big time there.

That all sounds pretty good, if they can deliver half of that I'll be well pleased.
TBH I'm not liking what I'm hearing about hi-sec, but what can you do
Great, Bolton is getting drunk on stage again.
CCP should make it an official event. Put him in a cage with booze and watch him melt into a pile of alcohol.

I'm at work, somebody tell me if the bomb launchers looked cool
See for yourself when you get home?
Has anybody done any theorycrafting on how the new micro jump drives would be used for fleet warfare?
I've heard two rumors floating around:
1) The drive provides a 100km boost in whatever direction you were heading.
2) The drive lets you lock onto a target outside of your normal lock range, and after a spool-up, you can warp to them. So like instead of that Taranis in the one video flying towards the bad guys, you just ultra-lock them and dash into range.
I don't really like either of these ideas, as I think long-range warfare needs to not get shit on more.
Stoffer gets a shout out as well, but yea Veritas is a fucking genius.CCP Unifex - Competent PROFESSIONAL. I got the feel this guy is the man that made the blueprint that transformed CCP from a ADHD office pool of malcontents to a finely tuned society of worker bees.

I liked the old venue better, you could bring your beer in to the lectures back there. More homely I guess.
Likely done to keep Bolton's liver intact.![]()
Speaking of its growing size; how is the Fanfest affecting other economic branches in Iceland, respectively what's the general population thinking about the nerd-invasion (from an economic point of view).
I could imagine that especially the hotel and gastronomy branch is rather appreciative of it, but how about the rest?
The facts have a strong anti-A- bias.

Best thing: Mittens' smug levels have increased to the extent that he's undergone mitosis and created a double.
Well, Hilmar says that taxi drivers come up to him personally and thank him for having the fanfest on off tourist time. I have seen a few mentions on the online media and I heard one radio show talk about it. I think most Icelanders dont have a clue that fanfest is even going on.
Most interesting thing so far has been the alliance leader panel. The No Holes Bared presentation was fantastic.
Worst is that I had no one to go with so I've been that guy that tries to tag along with an already established circle of friends.
Anyone wana do a kugu shitposter meetup tomorrow?
My corp had about 10 guys showing up, half Icelanders. Phantom for the win, had nice chat with Cerys Magente, was glad she remembered the old times.
I liked the overlay of the universe and where things were built.
The empty south, the drone regions, and the delve area had huge amounts of materials being built, of course none of this touched empire, which positively dwarfed the rest of the games production. But the most interesting part, was the CFC is noted for having the 'hub of life' tag in 0.0, this is the relative home of the largest concentration of players in 0.0, but they had over all almost no production.
Not that there was no production, because there was some, but it was so incredibly minute compared to the more empty regions of the game.
This points to a problem, the CFCs player base should be motivated to build in their space, but they're not doing that. They're aware that building in empire and importing shit is infinitely more agreeable due to the ease of logistics with jump freighters and jump bridge routes.
The markets there are well stocked, but little if any of it is built internally, its shipped in and stocked.
Isn't that
A) A problem the other regions should suffer from too (but didn't appear to)?
and
B) something thats fixable by dropping and upgrading a few factory outposts?
Like I'm not sure if you saw the thing but the difference was pretty large between the area from Fountain to Branch, when held against the whole rest of the game.
EDIT: Curiosity is 100% serious, I literally haven't done any actual building since me and you were in Paragon Soul
Is there a copy of this overlay anywhere?
Edit: Maybe it doesn't show anything on the side of the CFC, but more on the side of the rest of the nullsec population. It's not that we don't produce in nullsec, but that they do! Why do it when producing in highsec is simply so much more profitable and easier?
It's something that needs to be fixed, sure, but it's the same as tech moons or titan usage. It's broken, and people will use it until it's fixed.
There are singular systems in highsec that have more production capability than all of Deklein.
To be frank, the singular station-service system is what hampers it in nullsec. All the moving and shaking just to get shit built that can be done with one warp and in some cases, all in one station in Empire.
Funny thing re: Dek, there's one man who may largely be responsible for that.![]()
[05:28:32] Damienwhat Solette > friend said, if only they didn't have those 2 falcons there, i said they have 3, and he said that just says they don't want to do anything fair, just want to be dicks about it like not normal dicks but big black huge cocks
I'm actually one of those who build some things internally, although that's more because I have access to production lines which aren't constantly clogged by others, or require effort in moving stuff around. The fact you generally can't refine and build in the same station is also a bitch.
Which means that I'm building some things, but I'm pretty fucking far from caring to build every damn module for the ships, the vast majority I'll have shipped in. There are limits to how much I'll want to cut my fucking wrists just to save an isk here or there.
Fanfest [s]Iceland[/s] smells like farts
tl;dr nerd shit
go out (not to fanfest) and get laid, virginz
Obviously the south would have more industry, given its proximity to fuck all but I don't know why, for example, fountain should have less than delve. Difference in culture perhaps but it is far, far easier to just ship and sell then to try and gather the raw resources in nullsec needed for production.
I've noticed that there's a pretty big disconnect between the general consensus of kugu and what's actually happening. It seems enough people have said it in this thread that people are taking it as fact.
From Jita to the C0nvicted pocket at the top of branch takes around 8 minutes according to some of our JF dudes so there is just no point at all to really try and build anything ourselves (also mining is gay).
Also are any of the events on posted on youtube yet? I've only seen the Dust and missile stuff so far.
"I'm an American, give me a node so we load faster than Brits"
CCP Veritas: Deal with it nerd![]()
Well this is because the CFC has coordinated alliance-level logistics along with its reimbursement funds and collectively have access to more jump-capable transport as a result, while the southern equivalent is Archibald Hornby via eve-mail sperging at the 3-4 guys random null industry enthusiasts supplying the alliance with fleet fits for charging 10% over jita price.
Veritas is so huggable... it's like he's full of afro.

guys guys we lost 3 titans worth of Maelstroms in 72 hours, the market is all bought out and our idiot jews keep getting ganked in high sec, please import your own maelstrom BPOs and/or use a markedly inferior and discarded fleet doctrine l0l
I've never run out of maelstroms to put and keep up on contract (i.e. I'm one of the suppliers) during that time. In other words, you're still dumb and wrong.
Hope that helps.
well Jita is closer to the north so alone that gives the Northerner entity's a nice advantage when you compare to the south. its twice the amount of JF jumps to go from Jita to c3n in delve then it is to go from Jita to BKG in branch.
though i still think its less effort to actually buy shit in jita and stock the market then it is to actually manufacture yourself even in the south.
Man why would you live in C3N and not NOL or JP4 or something
penifsmash is spouting stupid bullshit again? color me surprised
