The Damned United

Almost two years old now, and probably already mentioned, but I'm gonna throw it out there anyway. A good watch for any football fans, especially so (I imagine) if you actually remember the 70's so you can get the old nostalgia gland pumping

Real steal is hilariously bad. If you watch it with some friends and a few beers you can have a good laugh at it. Don't try to watch it seriously..

New Sherlock is very good. (first 15 minutes annoyed me but it picks up into EPIC mode after that.)
"But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."

I'll have to go see it. I was entertained by the first, and this one seems to continue the trend.

max manus (norwegian)

worth watching if u havent seen it, 1 of the bether ww2 "resistance" movied made (even if I personally hate the main actor, tho he does a good role in that movie).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TeFL0...eature=related
First 5min of the movie
flame & citron
almost as good (feels darker) danish resistance movie more or less about same subject, (this danes where assassins while the norwegian counterpart mostly did saboture missions)
the bold ss doctor from der untergang is playing in this movie+Mads Mikkelsen(pretty known actor).

both are about real storys/people. both is thriller ish.

The Deer Hunter god damn, I put off watching this movie for too long. That jump from cloudy pennsylvania to fucking wartorn vietnam, damn.

The one negative thing about it I would say is I had serious difficulties giving a shit about "the tragic fate" of christopher walken's character because that dude is literally the psycho badguy from Batman Returns and that one james bond movie in sanfran

Christopher Walken has been in so many films there isn't any one character who I think of when I hear his name... which is probably a good thing. Guy's a good actor, and I've always got time for him

Best Christopher Walken motion picture piece is this:

EDIT: I've recently had a The Godfather marathon and also re-enjoyed Smokin' Aces and Lucky Number Slevin.

Not a recent movie, but I've only just watched it recently. Dunno why I never watched it before, it's a proper classic.

Taxi Driver

If anyone(crazy) like me and didn't watch it I suggest you do, it's pure win.

Also for the love of god I watched "Friends With Benifits" and I don't know why fuck sake, kill me now.

Fearless starring Jet-Li. IMO It's a top notch martial arts movie and one of Jet-Li's best performances to-date

That movie looks very intriguing. In the trailer, they seem to touch on the moral questions of superpowers, which I think is a very fun thought experiment.

I liked it. Lars von Trier ain't for everyone, though. Depressing as fuck, most of his films.

That's pretty much what it is up until the end, at which point it's like watching jedi fight without lightsabers. In an incredibly awesome way.

I must say I found Chronicle tiring. The 'gimmick' got real old after the Talent Show scene (which granted was great). The annoying antagonist, shoddy camerawork, and general "AAAAAAAAANNNNNNDDDDDRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEEEEEEEEEEEEW" just wore on me after awhile. Ending couldn't come fast enough.

I have a DVD copy of The Good Shepherd - it's the men's version of Beaches. I can sit down and watch it with my hair in curlers thinking "this is what being a man is about - being emotionally distant, making tough decisions without explaining them to loved ones and occasionally shooting someone or beating them up".

I also recently enjoyed The Revenant.

The new Walking dead episode was very good, although its still clear that they have a tiny budget.

it was dissapointing.
but decent..

Ohh, and it's pretty fucking dumb movie - all in all it's actually pretty terrible, don't waste money on it.

Watched 'The Debt' last night. It starts out a little slow and becomes very gripping after they set up the plot.

Watched The Company Men a couple of days ago. Whilst no Oscar winner, it did drive home some people's plight during the current economic crisis, as well as highlighting the fact that people are still willing to fork out $200 for a round of golf whilst ignoring the doom around them.

I saw a movie "Trust" the other day, with Clive Owen. Very good movie, but it's kinda disturbing to watch. His 14 year old daughter gets groomed online by a middle aged pedophile, and it leads to her meeting him in some dingy hotel room where he rapes her, to cut a long story short, cops & FBI get involved, her father begins to lose his mind with rage and the impact of the rape has devastationg effects on the entire family. It's guarteeded to scare the shit out of anyone with younge kids, like me...
