Warping out was the right move, actually. Sometimes it's best to save your ship for another day.
As for the p3en/ipay fights in p3en, pretty sure everyone in GENTS felt some respect for IEGEX for being willing to go all-in with their carrier squad (even if their carriers were totally shitfit). Sometimes that's what it takes to defend your home, and you guys rose to the challenge.
And damn those EC drones!
that fraps and music was so bad I was hoping my body would hit the floor

CTA 9/24/11 - Roughnecks vs Gentlemen. Hooraah
« on: September 25, 2011, 04:08:57 AM »
After a week of harassing by GENTS using cloaky faggy ships and hotdropping a single drake with 30 guys, onlining SBU's in KRUN/K8X/P3EN (which we shot down again) and shooting our POS modules and incapping them (which we repped), it was ready for the 3rd timer on the IHUB in P3EN. First, let me explain that this was planned. Orders were to not engage them while they reinforced our IHUB and wait on the final timer. This gave us time to plan strategies and set them in motion.
While I was away on a small and deserved break in Germany, I check Eve Gate to see what was going on and I saw that Cizani called for a 100% participance CTA (which basicly means, non-combat alts should log the fuck off) to defend the IHUB in P3EN. While blasting my way over the German and Dutch motorways (I think I'll receive a picture from the cops in NL. I wonder how much 160km/u will be. Hmm...), I was just on time to participate. The main fleet were allready shooting a new onlined GENTS SBU and I decided to not burn to K8X and switch my cynabal for a pest, so I just stayed with the fleet and do some damage. Some GENTS were able to bring some bombers into MY and managed to kill some guys who were not orbiting the gate at the desired range as ordered. After bringing the SBU down, we onlined ours and made our way to KRUN to regroup.
After regrouping, our 60+ fleet made their way to P3EN where I was able to change to a PEST. The IHUB came out of reinforce and we started repping it, while hearing our scouts about the GENTS forming up at their titan bridge. We just waited for them to come and soon their known cyno-pilot came into the system. After a small while he decloaked and lighted cyno and to bring 60 guys in. Our own cyno lighted up and in came a number of capitals to assist us if needed. The fighting went down, Cizani and our logi's managed to die rather early in the battle. A new FC stepped up and announced primaries, while our carriers were providing reps and finally GENTS decided to warp out to Obe and make ready for round 2. After the fight, the people who lost their ships went back to their station systems so they could replace their losses, while the rest were getting back to repairing the IHUB. After this fun fight, it was time to move the rest of the support fleet to KRUN and regroup for round 2. Result round 1: 31% efficiency.
The 2nd round happened while GENTS lighted another cyno in P3EN and decided to bring in +/- 80 people. While still waiting on their movement, GENTS decided to jump into IPAY and wait for us there. In the mean time, I arranged some new Liquid Ozone for the cyno, so that our capitals were able to provide support if needed. While we made our way to IPAY, our scout informed us that they put a bubble at range from the P3EN gate and we decided to fight them there. As soon as the fleet landed on the bubble, the scimi's got out of range and people were burning to the P3EN gate. Primaries were called and in the mean time I jumped in my alt to light the cyno so that the capitals could provide support. Their and our fleet were having a great and fun fight on the P3EN gate. Because we lacked logi's at the time, Cizani's decided to put his carrier into triage and provided the logistics to keep our fleet alive. The downside is that he managed to lose another ship... A 2nd carrier was getting primaried after he went down, some brave pilots gave him the armor and cap to stay alive. Eventually we got the upperhand and their 9 scimi's weren't able to keep up with our damage and they warped away, while making their way back to Taisy we regrouped and started repping the IHUB again. Result round 2: 52% efficiency.
Our scouts were still informing us on that GENTS were again getting ready for round 3 and a lot of guys were getting ready on the Titan. At the same time, our scout in MSHD told us that a neutral lighted a cyno and around 80+ guys from Pandemic Legion decided to pay us a visit with an abaddon/guardian/carrier fleet, including their titan. While being alligned, moments later a new cyno opened in P3EN and PL brought in their fleet and started shooting us. The majority of the fleet got safe and the rest managed to kill some guys from PL, but it costed us 2 carriers.... After this, we exchanged some o/ and gf in local; and they rewarded us by shooting down the GENTS SBU in P3EN![]()
After this went down, we onlined our SBU and made sure that the IHUB was getting repped again. From this moment, it was rather quiet and GENTS tried some bombruns. But that was it. Our IHUB and JB in P3EN got repped up and the same goes for our jammer and JB in MY. Mission accomplished \o/
Overall, I believe we had much fun. Both of our systems were in the top 10 violent 0.0 systems and personally I thought the fights were really good and fun to do. Yes, we lost a good number of ships, we only had like 38% efficiency, lost 3 carriers but we managed to complete our mission and were able to have 2 very fun fights. Personally I think this CTA was one of the best CTA's since our encounter with WRECK alliance.
Thank you all who came and I hope you had fun. Be sure to send your losses to your CEO/Director, so that we can reimburse them ASAP. Many thanks to the FC's and let's hope we'll get even more people!

also gj defending your space I'm proud
Sigged himself retarded.
rofl... and yes i am Dutch indeed (from the south of the south)
Kesper, where is your SC hotdrop.
Son I am disappoint.
We defanged many, many POSes though. That did take a while.
Wasn't that bad. Just load 20k EMP M into your welpcane's cargobay and follow targeting instructions. It's not as terrible and boring as you'd expect it to be. Does take a while, but the comms chatter was good enough to make it go by faster.
Securitas could you change your avatar to some docking - would make it less homosexual
+rep ;)
So Gents is still here. I think I have won at least 3 bets on our longevity.
Who?
So today marks the first anniversary of the founding of the Gentlemen's Agreement. I wrote a post for our forums recounting our exploits during this first year of our existence, praising my members for their efforts. It's definitely intended for internal consumption, but it also contains the factual highlights of GENTS Year One, so I thought it would be worth crossposting here.

Always delighted to amuse the turd-on-the-floor set.
I sure miss fighting GENTS in Delve.![]()

Your grammar is pretty special, if I do say so myself.
*sips some tea wearing a monocle*
I dont miss delve... Logistics was terrible, the rats were "meh", and the whole thunderdome thing didn't really ever get off the ground. It was a nice experiment for GENTS, our first foray into SOV outside of Fountain and we learned many lessons. Still I miss the Nulli fights...
Lake runs the show. Kesper is the face.
It has always been so, ever since Majesta when Lake ran the show and Kesper was the face. Although Mjed was more involved back then than he is now.
Ahhh history.
Also that post can only be internal propaganda which I think is exactly what he said to me in the kugu jabber channelIt gave me a fairly solid laugh and much
But whatever it takes to keep your activity up brosef.
My 1000th post goes to Gents for successfully placing Kesper in the right location on the map, Branching out, harhar I could go on, etc.

As Lake and Kesper say, Always be posting... I am pretty sure this doesn't relate to Kugu, but I was very *sad panda* when I realized that this had no activity in the last 4 weeks.
Looks like GENTS won the Biggest Faggot for "New Face". The lack of gay marriage in my state notwithstanding (Come on California, I mean even Washington State assholes are going to allow buttlovers to get married) I have never been prouder to be a "New Face Fag".
With the most recent move to branch we have had lots of opportunities to play around with :goodfighters/badposters: RDN and friends. Some of our friends have had poorly timed towers due to stupidity and now RDN and friends are starting some interesting kiting games.
Our coalition experience in the past has been strategic and utter steamrolling (Ragecamps, IGEX, etc) so this new warfare style (Reminds me of the Mongol tactics of ancient history) is keeping Eve interesting and pushing back my layers of "bittervet:. We continue to do our regular roams/cleanup ops as well.
When we first came to branch, I was very much part of the :fuckbranch: crowd as I deal with the logistics and markets (Mo' money, Mo' Money, MO' MONEY). I have started to change my tune however. While the space we occupy (I hesitate to say "our space" as it is full of FA/FCON/and other bro's who for whatever reason rat in our space instead of "theirs") is a pain for moving in and out of highsec, it puts us very close to the action, its a great jump-off point to where the "real" action will be in the coming months. I was also a bit nervous because if history teaches us anything Branch is where alliances go to get fat and bloated (WN/SP and others). I think we have a plan to make sure that doesn't happen.
In short, active participation is up, x's for fleet are higher, people are starting to settle into our new "home" and with our new award (which I plan on trying to find a place in my CQ to place such a auspicious award, cause you know... I always load CQ) we are looking forward to the next big thing.
Winter is over, Long live Summer....
God damn stop necroing this useless thread.

so how many tech moons do these smoking jacket wearing faggots get anyway??
I would be honored to accept the endorsments of such esteemed gentlemen as yourselves. During my first day on the CSM I pledge to you, my loyal followers that I will propose to CCP the following items to be added to the agenda:
A) Expanded 0.0 space
B) Further fixes throughout the universe of EvE.
C) Last but not least, stemming the tide of updates which are reducing our ability to extract the maximum amount of pubbie tears from their unworthy owners.
