A dev asking the csm about his intended changes will consider the fact that this is just the light version of the csm. I have full confidence in the rest of the csm to keep ccp on a good course but the exclusion of the biggest nullsec bloc will just mean that csm opinions on nullsec stuffs will be less influential than it was before.

not mittens. however i grant you he was part of it. csm6 was most successful as it had (aside from T20) the largest scandal and player uproar to enable it.

basically the changes came about as a result of mass-usubbing. mttens recognises this in many posts (one below to avoid any unecessary hurf). at no tiem (being a lawyer and very careful in his first term i am sure helped this decision) did mittens call for unsubs - the players did that themselves.

so. in summary, csm6 (not mittens) were able to bandwagon on the players decisions and use it to thier full advantage - both for results and for politiks - as they rightly should.

i post this as i grow weary of the overused implication that csm6 was successful because of mittens and his imaginary space mandate. it was successful because it was able to use the uproar - i think even a csm of xenuria's could have achieved this at the time tbqfh.
