Hammering the subject IS whining. Had you dropped it 5 posts ago, nobody could have said you are whining. Nice way to dodge the subject of "my definition" of irony being correct, tho. Great skills, you should consider a career in bullfighting.
And if "cumspoon" offends you, I can allways call you a pathetic moron the old way.

Well lol I dont know how old you are but believe it or not there is a real world out there.
The trick is to know what one your currently in and act accordingly. Outside the murky world of online games and forum trolls your expected to behave in a sociable way.
I understand freedom of speech and everyone is entitled to an opinon and if Mittens was a random fool spouting off garbage it would be written off as an idiot having his say.
Sadly he is not a random fool he is an elected represntative representing the EVE online comunity on a world stage.
I dont think he has the right to act like that and he certainly is not being a good ambasador for the game.
No, you don't get to pull 'lol xd guise i was just trolling you'.
It's not cool, it's not edgy, it's not even funny (which is meant to be the point of 'trolling')
With a lack of humour and an abundance of intendedly insulting yet woefully inadequate words (e.g fagfest) you're just another retard on the internet peddling some ill conceived notion of being witty and intelligent with your 'controversial' opinions and pulling an internal 'u mad bro' every time someone gawks at you in bemusement.
Alas I digress from the topic; I'll echo the sentiment that there's a difference between some random kid online spewing garbage and the chairman of a supposedly legitimate player group and high profile e-lebrity within the circle getting shitfaced and pulling a fatwa on some random miner in front of a crowd of people and on a recorded panel allegedly moderated by CCP (whom if they wished to avoid the shitstorm should have stopped him when it was getting out of hand)
At the end of the day though it's all quite funny, I'm sure people will forget in a couple of months and in a quiet spot on goon jabber someone will bring it up to poke fun at mittens.
I wouldn't go that far. The difference between online and real world tends to be attribution and consequences, but it's also true that bully mentality can fairly easily get you into places where you get to determine consequences. The world is not a nice and civil place. That doesn't make what Mittani did "right" I just think it's silly to point to "the civilized real world" as a counterpoint to how he behaved. Being a dick can get you damn far in the real world.
You still butthurt from earlier? Some LARPer at Fagfest gets drunk and jokes about making someone off them-self over a video game and pubbies go batshit mad because they can't take a joke? Get over it. Go kill yourself while you're at it. There's better things to worry about in life than what some nerd at Fagfest did or didn't say. Why are you still moaning over this?
pooperscooper, is that you?![]()
Nobody gives a shit about the Mittani's cruel, cruel words to some random publord; we just want you to stop posting shit everywhere, troll or no troll. You're a stupid fuck either way. As gimmicks go, you stand out for no particular qualities other than your sperginess and remarkable similarity in quality to an EVEO poster having a good day. You aren't funny, you aren't witty, you aren't even creative. You're just smearing shit everywhere, which I suppose would be amusing given your name but at this point it doesn't evoke the slightest of reactions.
Get out.
hmmmmm ladyboys bent out of shape and foaming at the mouth
sounds like an entertaining evening
Calm down all of you and let this crap drop.
Well, cadet of space, there are a few things here that we can discuss. First off, my age(24) doesn't really have anything to do with my viewpoint on the matter, but I will say this, when you are interacting with people in an MMO, you are still interacting with; "the real world."
There are people on the other side of that 1v1, fleet battle, or sometimes even that suicide gank(though I will admit that there are quite a few botters out there still). Why treat people different 'in-game' than out in public? To hide that you are truly an asshole? That will come out eventually no matter what. Assholes will always out themselves.
One other thing to mention. You pointed out that The Mittani was an elected representative, and that he should not act in this manner. Let me offer a retort if I could:
Did The Mittani start playing yesterday? Is this the same person that oversaw ice interdiction, numerous grief campaigns and has mocked those who have come to him seeking justice for being scammed by his members? The years of griefing and trolling didn't vanish, right?
Let me spell it out clearly for everyone. The Mittani has proven in the past what actions he is capable of, and to what extent he is willing to go to enjoy playing Eve. Call his way, call it the 'goon' way, I don't give a rat's ass. Unless he's breaking the EULA, more power to him.
Stop being surprised and outraged when someone who has had a past of 'questionable behavior' continues the trend.
If you believe he is going to change, I have it on a good faith that if you send him 1 bil isk, he'll get you into goonwaffe.
Also, in this time of great change, with Dust coming on the horizon....we need an asshole at the head of the csm table. We don't need nice guys. What we need at the current time is people who are willing to call out CCP when they try to jump the shark.
If I had my way, I'd have him Grath and a few other people who I know will be willing to call CCP stupid fucks make up the entire csm.

Feeding the troll is ill-advised, gentlemen.
Regardless of your viewpoint on the matter, he made a boo-boo; he even admitted this himself.
You could argue for a seperation between Mittani the goon and Mittani the CSM chairman but in this case Mittani the goon got a bit too drunk and took things a bit too far, due to his chairmanship he's somewhat of a public figure and this impacts not only his image but CCP's and EVE's as well.
If he had stopped after the dramatic readings this shitstorm wouldn't have happened, though it probably doesn't help some angry pubbie (whom riverini claims as one of his en24 staff) spread the story to every news site that would give him five minutes.
I suppose the fact that the alliance panel this year was otherwise boring as fuck is also a minor contributor.
Lets see, likes and dislikes, I dont have any as its all a blurr.
1. Am pretty sure I have done some follow up silliness to Mittani's suicidal carebear monologue, A's for that (also I really was hoping he was in DR space, but he moved to Gallente >.< )
2. Asking Darius about RMT after telling everyone I was banned for it, probably was a bit wierd.
3. Doing random interviews and talking about myself, I was slowly slipping into Mittani mode.
4. Playing drums in Battle of the Bands was crazy and I wish I could break the drums to score more sympathy points, but alas didnt do as bad as some.
5. Poisoned by Goons at Battle of the Bands and having to skip more of the Pub Crawl >.< (Note: dont accept random "vodka" drink from a random Goon)
6. If you are an Internet Spaceships Celebrity, drinking drinking and more drinking..
7. Presentations were amazing and my leviathan cant wait for the missile effects/hardpoints. I couldnt help but poke holes in a few ship balancing presentations though and stand up and bow everytime CCP mentioned how good CSM has been
8. Morning of day 3 I finally realized how the heater works as the dials were fucked up.
9. Getting pissed and dancing on Day 3 with Goons, while drinking xDEATH's absinth+redbull and then catching a 7am flight, wasnt as great as it sounds.
10. Going to Women in Eve yield little results >.<
11. On Day 1 after a few free beers and my usual 2-3 shots of vodka in the morning, I bought a Megathron model. *pets the model besides him* I shall paint it into Vindicator colors.
12. Starting every 3d sentence with "As a CSM member..."
13. Being confused for a CCP worker/Staff member due to CSM polo shirt and similar colors of access badge. A few times I was asked to allow filming/announcements and other stuff at the presentations.
14. High fiving CCP Greyscale and making him jump in the process ( thanks to CCP Veritas for the idea ).
15. on Day 3 constantly being aproached with a question "What place did you get in the CSM7 elections?"
16. Telling Mittani to shut up on a few occasions (but we all were blabbing drunk idiots).
17. Talking about how good Incarna was during my 3d interview (God I must have been smashed).
18. Talking to Meissa about supercapitals.... I will leave this one to your imagination.
19. Freebiessssss
20. Nearly dancing a duet with Michael Bolton.
I think that sums it up nicely

Ok, time to actually post about mittens' slip.
It was obviously a mistake, and he admited that much, that is clear as water, and there's not much to argue about it.
However, the reaction to it is utterly retarded. From the jokes that call themselves "gaming journalists" to the mongoloids at the forums, the cries for his resignation are bullshit and should be met with an elbow in the nuts. Yes, bullying is a problem; yes, EVE is full of terrible people and a bad game overall... but you can't build a society around a group of exceptional individuals with mental issues (and I say this as a fucking psychologist). Yes, we need to take care of them and avoid their issues causing problems to themselves and others, but this politically correct nanny society trend is fucking bullshit and is weeding out common sense from the general population. People NEEDS to meet assholes, people MUST learn to face frustration. There will always be assholes, and if people don't learn to deal with them, they'll just screw everyone up.

The faux-outrage is rather remarkable.
I'm not sure why this is even being discussed.
The only reason this blew up is cause its the Mittani. If that first wormhole dude would have said it people would have shrugged it away and people would have been like: "well thats EVE". Now all the empire Pubbies and other bitter anti goon people have finally a thing that they can milk into oblivion and seem to do it. If you actually are bitter about that comment, please go and buy a mackinaw and mine ice in highsec for the rest of your eve career or better yet stop playing online games completely cause this stuff happens pretty much every minute and you are better of playing Hello kitty: big city dreams.
I liked:
1. Economist presentation (not going to try and spell out his name), really liked that he gave good information and looked like he was actually having fun talking to space nerds.
2. CCP Veritas, cause the man can do the Jew-Fro like few can.
https://forums.eveonline.com/default...=posts&t=88008Regarding the CSM7 Chairmanship:
Posted: 2012.03.28 20:58 | Edited by: The Mittani
Though I have received many letters of support (my inbox is full of these, and for them I thank you) and the major bloggers have called for me to remain on as Chair, there are still some who doubt the sincerity of my apology to the player concerned, who - unlike those attempting to make hay from my mistake - is the person that matters here. I said that I would resign; to demonstrate the sincerity of my words and my apology, I will do just that.
With the increasingly high profile of the CSM in the wake of the Incarna Emergency Summit and the amazing turnout we had for the CSM7 elections, I have come to the conclusion that my two roles in EVE - that of the Chairman of the CSM as Alexander Gianturco, and the leader of Goonswarm as "The Mittani" are increasingly incompatible. It is, fundamentally, a problem of hats.
As the leader of Goonswarm I must be willing to make ruthless decisions and take actions that many players find objectionable - griefing, ganking, scamming, 'dishonorable' fleet tactics, espionage, metagaming, blowing up everyone who tries to mine Gallente Ice, sponsoring Hulkageddon, et cetera - whatever it takes to defend my people in this, the most exceedingly hostile galaxy to grace the internet. As Darius JOHNSON, the previous Goonswarm leader once said, "[Goonswarm] is not here to destroy /the/ game, but /your/ game.
Yet as Chairman of the CSM and Alexander Gianturco, I need to put a good face on CCP's experimental player democracy and keep my nose clean. Inevitably, these two roles conflict with one another; when Goonswarm does what it does in EVE, this reflects on the CSM as a whole, purely due to my position as both Chairman and alliance leader. If I abandon the brutalist tactics of an alliance leader in hopes of keeping the CSM's image pristine, I hamstring my people ingame and do a disservice to the line members who rely on me. In addition, the enemies of Goonswarm assault the CSM and CCP itself unfairly due to the in-game actions of our alliance.
After the successful restructuring of CCP, I am convinced that most of the hard work of the CSM is already done - CCP is now focusing on spaceships instead of avatars, and the success of CSM6 has led to a solid and competent crop of player representatives in CSM7 with a much greater turnout, demonstrating ever-more faith and trust from the playerbase in the concept of the CSM. This changes things for the CSM, as well as the Chairman title
During Goonswarm's highly successful Gallente Ice Interdiction there were calls for my resignation as Chairman; those calls increased when Goonswarm began to use false supercap sales as a method of closing the gap between us and our in-game enemies' supercap fleets. We are now planning an attempt to destroy Jita itself. All of these actions are entirely legitimate within the brutal world of EVE, yet, in the coming months, if I continue to hold the title of Chairman, CCP will be enduring one PR nightmare after another as Goonswarm's in-game actions unfairly reflect back upon the CSM as a whole through the Chairman title. It is increasingly important that the Chair be a ‘good citizen’ in the game itself - and I cannot be a good citizen and simultaneously lead my alliance of magnificent bastards.
With CSM7's term beginning on April 4th, I now exercise my right as the winner of the election with 10,058 votes to decline the office of Chairman. It will then be up to CSM7 as a group to decide how to proceed regarding the Chair. As a member of the CSM without a title, what I do as the leader of Goonswarm will no longer unfairly reflect on the CSM as a whole - leaving me and my people free to do as we please without needing to consider corporate, political, or media ramifications every time we make a **** joke, offend someone, or sell a supercap made of vapor.
Who else wants to shoot Darius in the groin?

I said we should on goonfleet.com but then people negrepped me. Jerks. Something about "validating him," whatever the fuck that's really supposed to mean.
Two Step as Chairman - could've gone a lot worse!
So is Dovi now a first-team player?
I knew I couldn't have been the only one who threw up in my mouth a little bit at the mention of a "healing process"
If any "soul-searching" is suggested I will go postal
Furthermore, I think Jita must be destroyed
[s]CARTHAGE[/s] JITA MUST BE DESTROYED
I would be proud if it was.
As if people won't be asking mittens for his opinion instead of whoever ends up as chair anyway. The man is a two dimensional cartoon character but he's mostly surrounded by cardboard cutouts so he's the most entertaining by a long fucking mile.

Well.... that's terrible.reported by GM Salmon | 2012.03.28 00:00:00 | NEW | Comments
As some of you might have heard, one of the Alliance leaders speaking at the Alliance Panel during EVE Fanfest 2012 breached our EULA/TOS with some ill-advised remarks about a fellow EVE player. It goes without saying that CCP deeply regrets this incident and will work towards reducing any possibility of this happening again in the future.
CCP requested that all panel PowerPoint presentations and discussion topics be handed in beforehand for approval. Regrettably, the offending comments were made during an unscripted Q&A session after the main presentations.
Following a thorough internal review CCP has decided to respond to this clear violation of our Terms of Service and wholly inappropriate use of the Alliance Panel. According to our existing policies, we have issued a 30 day ban from EVE Online to the panel speaker.
The policy of CCP is not to publicly discuss warnings and bans on an individual basis. This situation is entirely unique because the panel was displayed via CCP’s Fanfest video stream component, a platform analogous to our forums. As a result we have published this statement due to the special circumstances involved. However, our policy remains that we will not publicly discuss warnings and bans.
The panelist has subsequently posted a public apology as well as a private apology to the victim of his attack. He has also resigned from his position as Chairman of CSM 6 and has forfeited his right to serve on CSM 7. As per our policies, this candidate may be eligible to run at a later date subject to candidacy review.
The Council of Stellar Management is a democratically elected council that represents the players of EVE Online. Although council members may represent the players in any manner they choose, being a council member does not permit actions or playstyles that violate our policies.

I don't like the Mittani but I think the CCP reaction is extreme and overboard. He deserves to be on CSM7.
Forfeit his right to serve as chairman, or as CSM member? not clear enough. The panelist has subsequently posted a public apology as well as a private apology to the victim of his attack. He has also resigned from his position as Chairman of CSM 6 and has forfeited his right to serve on CSM 7.
