Hmm, not sure you understand economics my friend. Price's are controlled by the player's actions and supply and demand, and since CCP is trying to encourage people to buy more plex's and increase the supply of PLEX on market, that can usually only send the price down.

If anything CCP is looking to drive the price down again, as a price that high above the market equilibrium is unsustainable. And just a quick hypothesis as to the rising plex prices. The rise in demand is more than likely do the added features for PLEX. PLEX's are now easier to use and can do more things in game, especially being the easiest way to get aurum, basically that created a demand shock and now supply has to increase to adjust to it.

Unless there is a similar or larger shock in demand, which would require a significantly large amount of people deciding to make the switch to playing for free via plex instead of monthly subscription. Judging by plex's incredibly high price right now and the already high demand for buying plex's, I seriously doubt that enough people will switch to PLEX for there to be enough demand to keep the prices high.
