It's someone who is racist but acknowledges that they must pretend not to be in front of the sensitive. But a vote is an endorsement, and even if it's an endorsement specifically of his spaceship policies it still serves in some small way to normalize the rest of his beliefs. The task you're describing is impossible, especially when it comes to things like the Nazis. Though Jacques Derrida would defend the likes of Martin Heidegger, whose work published pre-Holocaust was nearly disavowed entirely post-Holocaust due to his support of the Nazis, pretty much everybody agrees that Heidegger's work enabled a moral foundation for the Final Solution and his unwillingness to deny such accusations (it would be pretty easy - 'The Nazis made me do it') pretty much renders the division of message and messenger (or sign and signifier, if you're into post-modernism) utterly moot.

Two things:

First, if we actually voted somebody into the CSM based on smell, then we've voted in some pretty fucking shitty candidates over the years. Let's just face it: The average CEO/diplo/FC does not smell like heaven on a nice day. DBRB, for example, probably didn't shower for a straight week while he was FC'ing the push into Branch. Did anybody ever hear him say 'BRB, shower'? No. I'd almost bet some PLEX on it.

Second, the EVE player who smells like fresh semen or anything classier than Cheetohs is just playing EVE to prove that he/she can be negligent in his/her life obligations long enough to convince his/her wife that regular blowjobs are actually necessary in a healthy marriage and thus can't be taken SO SERIOUS as a CSM candidate. My ideal CSM candidate has a drawer dedicated entirely to fapping socks. No troll.
