idk we're bad
There's nothing worse than having a good idea for a post not being good enough to pull it off :negative:
The two-handed claymore was a large sword used in the late Medieval and early modern periods. It was used in the constant clan warfare and border fights with the English from circa 1400 to 1700.[6] Although Claymores existed as far back as the Wars of Scottish Independence they were smaller and few had the typical quatrefoil design(as can be seen on the Great Seal of John Balliol King of Scots). [7]The last known battle in which it is considered to have been used in a significant number was the Battle of Killiecrankie in 1689.[citation needed] It was somewhat smaller than other two-handed swords of the era. The two-handed claymore seems to be an offshoot of Early Scottish medieval longswords (similar to the Espee de Guerrel or Grete war sword) which had developed a distinctive style of a cross-hilt with downsloping arms that ended in spatulate swellings. The lobed pommels on earlier swords were inspired by the Viking style. The spatulate swellings were later frequently made in a quatrefoil design.[8]
The average claymore ran about 140 cm (55 in) in overall length, with a 33 cm (13 in) grip, 107 cm (42 in) blade, and a weight of approximately 5.5 lb (2.5 kg).[citation needed]
Fairly uniform in style, the sword was set with a wheel pommel often capped by a crescent-shaped nut and a guard with straight, down-sloping arms ending in quatrefoils and langets running down the center of the blade from the guard.[citation needed] Another common style of two-handed claymore (though lesser known today) was the "clamshell hilted" claymore. It had a crossguard that consisted of two downward-curving arms and two large, round, concave plates that protected the foregrip. It was so named because the round guards resembled an open clam.[citation needed]
see that's flat out not true, i swear i remember a british d-day man having a bag-pipe and a claymore with him, i shall google.
oh significant number, well that's no fun. read this dudes story anyway http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Churchill

So, page four and not a single post related to the OP yet.
When is meat back on the menu?
Hey, init, thanks for warping to my fleet just there and giving me a heart attack. You made me actually pay attention to EVE.
In Maila:
dude in fleet> hey guys ill bring a lach so we can like point stuff from far aways
Later in BWF:
Sister Bliss> WHY THE FUCK DO WE NOT HAVE A LACH
"WE WILL USE SPELS" - Lee Chanka
Haha look at Vonquessha trying to imply someone is bad.
I usually go SPREAD POINTS FUCK THEY GETTING AWAY when we only have one lach with one point on it
Sigged himself retarded.
point the prophecy m8. carriers will return
point point point the....ohhhhhhh
get a point on the...aaahhhhhh
....align to outgate
hahahahahahaha.
Oh god that made my day. You had literally an ares and sabre to point things with, I was pleasantly surprised by this, considering you evidently had eyes on our man with steel balls and his caps. It also meant I didn't get yelled at for FCing a fleet where we lost caps someone decided to jump in on their own, which I'm grateful for, as I wanted to go out by this point.
PETER PARKER IS COMING
GET READY
The ares and sabre died pretty much instantly, and the rest of the fleet got ordered to follow bliss and kite your welpcanes, in the assumption our lach would do the pointing. Except that our lach magically disappeared in those 3 jumps from maila to bwf.
If we had actually realised our lach wasn't there, those half a dozen cynabals/vagas would have been ordered to point stuff i imagine. Double fail on our part![]()

Fantastic, sounds almost like the average TEST fleet. And yeah, I called the sabre primary the second I saw it, for obvious reasons, same with the ares after that.
It was fun though, its always nice to FC something in a situation you haven't faced before, good learning experience.
Aye responding to a surprise buttsecks situation like that is never easy, and you handled it well (pop tackle and gtfo once caps clear the field). And theres nothing like a red blob jumping in at the least convenient time to get the adrenaline pumping.

This is the story of how Jogyn lost a grip of tengus to bombers as told by an asian in booty shorts.
e: Here's actual content. Gypsy came in with a wave of void bombs to turn off all the tengu hardeners, then came in with waves of damage bombs shitting on everything. Gypsy Band bombers #1.

Mfume Apocal - Origin. - Black Legion.
I've never really paid attention to Gypsy since Rebellion died, but looking at these bombing runs, and a few other recent BRs : god damn, they are competent. :madprops: and hats off all round
Didn't want that cap fleet anyway.
http://dog-net.org/brdoc/?br=http%3A...re=blue#assign
im just throwing out that you might not want to be using caps like that when roughly 9 people in local are either NPC corp or obvious scout alts

Nothing ventured, nothing gained. We'll become elite one day, when all of our 5000 members have matured into grim, unstaring death merchants with fleets of supercaps at their fingertips... and once we are, we will be the single most powerful force in EVE.
Until then, we'll constantly lose capitals in an embarassing fashion, lose 100-something ships to a single group of bombers, lose all of our Tech to Black Legion. without help from GSF... and we'll enjoy doing it.
Was fun though!
If I had a cap, this is how I'd lose it.
Nah, I'd be caught with salvagers and tractor beams on it.

"Every rifter counts friend" - VR
Apparently TEST took a station or something. I don't know. I didn't log in. I just saw broadcasts.
I don't know how I missed this thread, but TEST represents everything good and wholesome in Eve. My first experience with TEST was roaming around brosec, there was a carrier undocking from some random station, not even close to a kickout, and then suddenly 70 BORT Rifters blot out the sun and try to bump him off. They lost every damn Rifter there and kept undocking with more Rifters that invariably got raped by station. Such heroes.
True, I have raped history, but it has produced some beautiful offspring
keep on fighting the good fight![]()
