I don't watch a lot of TV. Let me rephrase that, I watch The Office and that's literally it. So if anyone's an Office fan, what do you think of it without Steve Carell? I was pleasantly surprised, ep1 and 2 we're pretty damn hilarious.

I wasn't expecting much but I too found it funny. David Spade is great at dead pan. Andy getting more show time is great. Less Pam and Jim would be nice. Focus more on the minor characters and it'll last.

Dexter is back in business and that new sci-fi series Terra Nova ain´t that bad.. Timetravel plot gimmick is a bit weak and the whole wibe Avatar-esque but all and all it aint the shittiest of sci-fi shows out there. The pilot episode and it´s over populated Earth was pretty cool, not at the blade runner level but it had it´s moments.

This is definitely going to be House's final season. They've introduced an adorkable asian assistant, they're going to have 13 leave because she'll suddenly not agree with House's ethics, and Foreman is the new Dean of Medicine instead of Wilson.

Took me a few years to realise I love the series, I covered all seasons in a week or so, the last one is decent although I prefered 4 and 5. Trinity especially was great. Though the last episode makes things quite interesting in season 6 as well.

Has anyone been keeping up with Terra Nova? I'm stoked for the season finale this Monday, though I fear it will also be the series finale. ))):

Most reviews of the show I have seen are quite negative, mostly due to very one-dimensional characters, cheesy dialogue, the fact that nobody even semi-important dies, and sketchy science. I, however, have enjoyed the show quite a bit. vOv

Terra Nova finale was really good! I feel as if the writers finally decided that the show needed to be grittier and less childish. I, for one, appreciated the change (andI also think it was still tame enough to show children). The parts that really struck me as awesome were:

Fox is cancelling "House" after this season. While I loved the show I feel after 8 seasons it is starting to get a bit redundant.

I checked out Homeland (Showtime) recently and after being fully drained of all shits about high-stakes terrorism plots, was gleefully pleased. Claire Danes brings it and I'm a fan of Mandy Patinkin.

Breaking Bad is the big one everyone is looking forward to, I think. It's one of the best shows on TV, next to the Wire, which also gets high praise.

I just watched the first 2 seasons of Justified, and it was pretty good.

Just bought all 3 seasons of Deadwood, that show is pretty cool too.

Deadwood was awesome, cancelling it was the stupidest fucking thing ever, but apparently Milch was running 2-3 full filming crews up to 20 hours a day and spending money like it was nothing.

HBO also decided to let it go because Milch had another idea about a family of surfers in California, which sounds far more mainstream. That was John From Cincinnati, which was truly awesome but understandably unpopular and cancelled after 13 episodes.

So then Milch did this show called "Luck," which was about horse racing and extremely dense and difficult to get into, even as a fan from the previous two shows. In the end it got cancelled because too many horses were dying during the shooting.

Nolte on the difficulties of getting it made:

The racetrack show "Luck" has been put down, but even before that the show's off-screen creative struggles may have been more interesting than the spare drama that reached the HBO show's meager viewing audience.

How intense was the tug-of-war between show writer David Milch and director Michael Mann, two of Hollywood’s fiercest perfectionist mavericks? "Luck" costar Nick Nolte said there was one afternoon when Milch cracked under deadline pressure and reached for a Louisville Slugger.

"There was a day that David was going to kill Michael," Nolte said during a recent interview. "I guess I shouldn’t talk about this, but I’ve heard it going around so I guess it’s not a secret. It’s absolutely true. Michael hadn’t turned the film in [for an episode] and David was livid. He said to John [Ortiz], who plays the other trainer on the show, ‘I’m going to go down to the editing room and I’m going to kill Michael Mann.’"

Nolte continued: "The look on Milch's face was intense, and John was pretty upset and he says, ‘David, you really don’t want to do that. You don’t have a gun, do you?’ And Milch tells him, ‘No, I don’t have a gun but I have a baseball bat and I’m going to kill him. If I’m not back in a few hours, get my lawyers on the phone.’ John was beside himself."

What happened next?

"An hour and a half later, Milch comes back and John asks him what happened," Nolte said. "Milch says something like, ‘I went down there and kicked in the door and Mann was there hunched over the Avid [editing console] and he looked back at me and then he just kept working.’ Milch stood there for something like 15 minutes and Mann kept looking back every minute or two but he also kept working. And finally I guess Milch realized that Mann was working as fast as he could."

The actor said he later confirmed the incident with Milch and Mann and others on the "Luck" team. Nolte, who is no stranger to bare-knuckle, raw-behavior moments, shrugged it all off as just a bad day on "Luck" — and, he added, everyone was fortunate it wasn't worse.

"If Michael had been sitting there eating a sandwich when Milch kicked in the door, well, it could have been bad," Nolte said with a raspy laugh.

I miss Deadwood something fierce. The language was fucking incredible.

Also, whatever your feelings about True Blood/Vampires may be, it was at least produced by Alan Ball, the guy behind Six Feet Under, which was easily one of the best shows ever put on television. Anyway, it was at least entertaining for a couple of seasons, but the last 2-3 have sorta sucked, and apparently it's because Ball has mentally, and then physically, moved on to another project that should be coming out next year. I can't wait.
