Quick question for Solar Fleet Best Fleet if you're still around, my friend.

Why isn't SOLAR the SoCo leader? God knows you guys probably fit the job description better than Makalu and Herc's merry band of autists and manchildren, why didn't or doesn't MACTEP assume direct control as soon as -A- even looked at the southwest. Is SOLAR membership connecting socially/culturally at all with their western brothers (again, aside from Against ALL Undocking)? Are SOLAR a member of SoCo in name only to make propaganda videos look good?

I just don't understand why MACTEP would even entertain the notion of Herc threatening him when -A- is clearly less than the dogshit a typical elite RUSRUS pilot accidentally stepped in that morning. :?:

I really don't see what Solar has to do with -A-'s sprawling renter/pet ghetto empire. They had a short marriage of convenience for a couple of months, and now it's over.

If anything, Solar stands to gain from an occupied Catch, as they can landgrab some more rental property while -A- hide in Stain.

I do love -A-'s powerful diplomacy skills, like's blaster worm's infamous "you owe us IT, get here and help us faggots". A true diplomatic coup.

the culture of giving-a-shit-about-killboard-stats really kills this game for me. Give me a group where I die all the fucking time but get my fix of lulz from comms shenanigans and forums over some super serious turbo nerd mega efficiency group any day. I was in -A- for a short time once some years ago before my three year absence -- shit was so boring that I up and quit Eve. Maybe if I'd have rejoined PL or another "fun" group then instead I wouldn't have ever gotten bored of the game and left, and therefore wouldn't have a gaping 40m SP hole on my main. I do know that it's gotta be tough on your garden-variety -A- scrub to undock right now. Maybe if so much emphasis wasn't put on the fucking killboard percentages and instead on creating the max amount of fun for the players, folks would log in and x up.

Fun (subjective) > KB stats. Some people take that to extreme and whelp tengus and other expensive stuff. We had about 100 canes out last night, FC gave no fucks - lots of fun was had.

As long as -A- has the ~elitepvpkillboardstats~ mentality they won't be able to go head-to-head against the CFC and win. There is a small subsection of Eve who like having awesome stats and bragging about them, but there are far more neckbeards who just want to log in and throw Drakes at a problem until it goes away because pretty explosions are cool.

The relaxed culture of the CFC appeals to people because they don't want to deal with "I've lost three Drakes, if I die again my isk % will be under 80% oh god what do I do", and quantity has a quality of it's own.

Plus would you rather fly with a fleet of killboard whores or a bunch of guys who are shitting up comms hilariously all the time?

The only reason I have anything on the killboards from my last couple of periods of activity ( structure shoots

)was because I decided I should carry at least 1 sentry drone in my drone bay ( scimitar ) just so I could say I was there. Imagine how bummed out I was when I remembered that throwing rep cycles onto hostiles didn't get me on the killmails anymore.

Whatever you're doing right now on your main subcap character, stop it and train Battlecruisers 5 (unless they split the skills, I think they did, if so, train all of them to 5 anyway) - best skill in the game hands down

I trained BC5 just so I could fly tech 2 battle chickens ( Prophecies are still my favourite BC despite being fairly worthless ), and then I found out that they weren't as exciting as I had hoped. That being said BC5 is pretty handy to have especially if & when CCP do their thang with BC and Destroyer skills.

They're only going to do the splitting thing once the actual ships get rebalanced. Knowing CCP, that might take a while.

I've not been on Battleclinic in a fairly long time and I'm bored at work so I've been pottering about on there, tittering at -A-.

Though I am confused on something. If you look at the recent corp rankings Blue Republic are 5th yet Red Federation are 100th.

I thought they put a lot of effort into keeping things all even in RvB?

Or am I reading too much into a shit website, with a shit ranking system?

Just wanted to give a quick shout out to the alliance that has done more to stop the Honeybadger War Machine than any other 5 SoCo alliances combined. Walltreipers consistently kills our BR's, ownzones onlining TCU's/SBU's and are just generally not giving up. They run around in hodge podge 10 man fleets and just don't give a fuck.

So Walltreipers, keep on undocking, you rock.

I've lost 2 covops and a rifter to walltreipers while going to scout stuff. Between that I run past 100~ -A- and Co without a problem.

I found when I was in Red Fed, that things did tend to go in phases; you would have 2-3 month runs where one side was consistantly on top, and kicking the other side soundly around the park. Although its supposedly a 'friendly war', especially with the younger members, you get just as much rivalry, bitchyness, and spitefullness as in any long-standing feud. When the more experienced members are switching back and forth to even sides out, no worries, but every so often sides get entrenched, and then it can be not so plain sailing.

Really, it just depends whose running the fleets at any given time. If you've got a killboard warrior leading fleets, that side tends to not "play fair". Which when the pendulum swings back the other way, can cause the side that were under the boot to happily get their own back. When I first started in Red Fed, they were taking a solid beating, and the Blue main FC at the time was a bit of a Makulu. When he finally left (I later saw him and his cronies making up most of Muppet Ninja's), Red were happy to grind Blue under their foot for quite some time.
